Arcane Academy: The Divine Extraction Legacy

Chapter 1023: The Rift

Whom~

The skies above the Abyssal Rift of Zenthra, one of the Forbidden Lands classified by the Arcane Bureau, started getting darker...

It was one of the areas previously used by the Demonic Creatures when they opened a rift from the Abyss Realm and invaded this realm. However, after the failed invasion, it was now a restricted area and was taken over by the new intruders, Chaos Immortals.

It was a perfect place to hide after all. It had the weakest stability of space and time that the Chaos Immortals could exploit…

At this time, a large rift appeared like a vertical wound on the world itself.

”Kekeke… I told you, right? I can do it!” The feminine voice came from none other than Mennena, the Arch Fey!

She had completed her mission to assist the Chaos Immortals to ʼreturnʼ to their original realm.

Still, this wasnʼt an easy task. There were arcane storms that could rip the bodies of the Chaos Immortals if they werenʼt careful.

After all, the danger of the void couldnʼt easily be ignored by Immortals despite having such a blessed physique and divinity.

They could still perish if they werenʼt careful enough.

”Everyoneʼs finally here…” Kent muttered as he saw the additional members of his Faction, the Unbound…

There were only five of them who had arrived here initially with Mennenaʼs assistance. However, now that the path had stabilized, Mennena was finally able to open a larger rift for a hundred more Immortals.

”Hahaha… You guys are finally here!” Thassa laughed after seeing the core members of Unbound Faction…

There was Eryn, the Tactician, managing most of the internal system of the Faction. There was also Arin, one of the Generals, and Nyssa, the head of the Spy Division.

In the Shattered Expanse, their Faction may not be that strong, with only a total of 300 Immortals.

However, in this place, they were a force that could take over the whole realm!

At this point, Kent and the four who had arrived months ago before the reinforcements had already investigated the whole continent, including the Shadow Domain, and confirmed that Vale only had about 20 or so Immortals under his command.

Although only about a hundred Immortals had arrived from the expanse, it was already more than enough to take over this realm.

”This world has barely any divinity we could use…” Nyssa whispered…

”It doesnʼt matter… We will live like kings in this land. Just remember how many years weʼve spent in the barren land of Shattered Expanse…”

Kent said as he looked at the Chaos Immortals who had just arrived.

Eryn chuckled as he liked that idea. ”Alright… Weʼre going to make that happen… But before that, youʼve been staying here for a month or so. You should tell us the current situation within this realm.”

At this time, it was Thassa who replied first.

”We have to be careful of the Shadow Immortal Vale.”

The mere mention of Shadow Immortal Vale brought a hush over the other Chaos Immortals who had also investigated this realm together with Kent.

”Thatʼs right… Chaos Arts Practitioners are already being hunted.”

”If any news related to our existence were known, Immortals from the Shadow Domain would be sent to hunt them down.”

The two, who were together with Gyn, added.

”Thereʼs also the Arcane Dominion,” Kent added. ”We are still unsure about the power they hold but you can expect that part of them were the 12 Arcane Factions of this world. They hold command over ancient Formation Arrays and Forbidden Spells that we must be careful of… Conflict with them is unavoidable, but we canʼt destroy them completely. I plan to tell you their current system for running this world. We can probably spare some of their Half-Immortals to run things around.”

”And what about the Council remnants?” Eryn asked. Everyone knew that it was the Council of the Arcane Paths that had betrayed the Chaos Arts Practitioners.

”Theyʼre no longer existing… To be exact, theyʼre scattered,” Gyn replied…

”It was probably due to the existence of the Arcane Dominion and the Arcane Bureau, including the Churches, so they became leaderless… But we donʼt have to worry about them.” Kent added.

”Then weʼll start with our invasion…” Kent declared. ”However, we have to delay our invasion in the Shadow Domain and the Arcane Dominionʼs headquarters. Weʼll take control of the Luminara Kingdom in the east.”

Arin turned to Kent after hearing this… ”What of the churches?”

They hadnʼt been here for a long time, so she was quite worried that the orthodox churches had already gotten too strong and could also summon Immortal Beings at their level.

After years of surviving in the Shattered Expanse, Arin had become very cautious, especially in some unfamiliar territories in order to survive.

Thassa chucked as he heard this. ”Theyʼre not a big deal. Trust me…”

Kent, the leader of the Faction, nodded to confirm this…

”No. Not all of them. We have to be careful handling the Church of the Fortune Goddess. Attacking their Holy City would invite problems across all fronts. Letʼs take it slow and bait out their hidden powers.

”This includes the Church of the Lord of Secrets... They are already aware of our entry. Itʼs best to leave them be. I tried to infiltrate them before, but I failed…”

Thassaʼs smile returned. ”But the others...?”

Kent nodded. ”The Eminence of the Sea, Divine Sorcerer, and the Three Paragons? They do not matter… Burn their altars. Drown their temples… I donʼt care…”

The meeting of the leaders lasted for another hour as they confirmed what they really had to do to start conquering this realm.

After a plan was made and everyoneʼs morale was at its peak, dozens of Chaos Immortals began to disperse.

Some turned into smoke and vanished into the air. Others sank into the ground or soared into the sky.

They were all headed to Luminara Kingdom, which was currently being protected by Lisa, the Immortal Vampire.
