Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

At night, the stars were magnificent.

Lu Li and Liu Kexin returned to the city.

He waited until Liu Kexin fell asleep, then went to the balcony alone to gaze at the starry sky.

After a day’s time, his power limit reached 325 trillion stellar forces.

In terms of sheer size, his own power could not actually reach the force of one universe, but given the limitations of the Cosmos, his perception had soared to 650 trillion light-years, far exceeding the limit.

Now, Lu Li could sense beyond the Cosmos without having to convert energy into a line like before; he could directly perceive it.

Of course, currently his perception could only cover a small area of the Cosmic Mother Sea, far from enclosing the entirety.

There’s a peculiar point here, which is that in his own Cosmos, his perception seems to be “actual distance” sensing.

However, in the Cosmic Mother Sea, he could sense countless universes like grains of sand, only he could only sense their existence.

If he delved into one specific universe, it would transform into “actual distance” sensing, just like in his own Cosmos.

It seemed as if all those other universes in the Cosmic Mother Sea were “contained within a mustard seed.”

“This, for me, counts as a significant breakthrough.”

Lu Li immersed himself in perceiving the entirety of the Cosmos and the states of other universes, feeling a sense of control over the broader picture.

“Furthermore, after sensing the situations of those universes within the Cosmic Mother Sea, it seems I’ve vaguely comprehended some marvelous techniques.”

Lu Li extended his hand and a tiny point of light appeared in his palm.

This speck of light was no bigger than a firefly and appeared unremarkable.

Yet if someone were to delve into it, they would discover it’s a complete solar system.

The primary star naturally was the Sun, followed by Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, along with numerous asteroids, comet belts, and other celestial bodies.

Even the Kuiper Belt, the corona, and other features of a star system were all present.

At this moment, Earth in Lu Li’s palm was still in the “prehistoric era,” its surface covered by lava, extremely hot, and devoid of any life.

With a thought, Earth began to rapidly evolve.

A billion years quickly passed within the palm’s Earth.

A planet named “Theia” collided with Earth, forming the Moon and bringing a large amount of water to Earth.

The conditions for life were in place.

Lu Li continued to accelerate the simulation.

The Earth in his palm advanced another 600-700 million years, and some single-celled life forms appeared.

He thought that by simulating Earth’s historical evolution, the palm Earth would reach the exact same conclusion.

But disappointingly, shortly after the appearance of single-celled life, they mysteriously became extinct.

“Hmm?”

Noticing the state of the palm Earth, Lu Li feeling perplexed said, “Why when I followed Earth’s developmental history, does life seem to go extinct shortly after single-celled organisms emerged?”

He felt puzzled, as the solar system in his palm was indeed a real world, so why couldn’t life evolve?

Could it be…

That a complete cosmic ecosystem is necessary?

With a flip of his hand, the solar system within his palm disappeared entirely.

“Should I try evolving life within my own body?”

He hesitated for a moment, but ultimately decided not to, “Let me learn more about world evolution first, then try gradually step by step.”

Although Lu Li temporarily wasn’t planning to evolve life within himself, he instinctively had a premonition that one day he would do so.

“Right, now that my strength has significantly increased, let’s see if I can absorb more energy from the fifth dimension, and whether I can break through the fifth dimension to see what higher dimensions are really like.”

Lu Li appeared to be gazing into the distance, but in fact, he was mobilizing the immense energy within himself, effortlessly piercing the dimensional barrier and reaching the fifth dimension.

This contrasted sharply with the struggles he previously faced entering the fifth dimension.

“I truly am much stronger; the first time I ascended to the fifth dimension, it required depleting half my energy, but now it takes merely a trivial amount of energy with a mere thought.”

Lu Li couldn’t help but marvel, as this triviality was boundlessly vast to ordinary beings, but for himself it was truly just that.

He began constructing an energy channel.

Moments later, the energy channel was completed.

An unbelievably vast amount of energy instantly poured down from the fifth dimension, infusing his being.

In an instant, an amount approximately one two-hundredth of his peak energy was absorbed.

Lu Li pondered, “The energy absorbed from the fifth dimension seems to be a fixed ratio, meaning about three minutes I can absorb energy equivalent to my own upper limit.”

He quietly awaited the arrival of three minutes, wanting to see if that was indeed the case.

Ten seconds.

Seventy seconds.

One hundred thirty-six seconds.

One hundred eighty seconds.

When the third minute arrived, Lu Li decisively cut off the energy channel and checked how much energy had increased.

Indeed, it had increased by 325 trillion stellar forces!

Since the energy for piercing the barrier was almost negligible, his energy upper limit had now reached 650 trillion stellar forces!

“In just one hour, my energy doubled, the fifth dimension truly is astonishing.”

Lu Li couldn’t help but exclaim, thinking that at this rate, as long as he continued to absorb energy from the fifth dimension and grew naturally, it seemed it wouldn’t take long to gather the force of one universe.
