Harry Potter and the Secret Treasures

While controlling the flames, Evan never imagined his battle with the Death Eaters would be mistaken by Muggles for an epic clash between Marvel superheroes!

The very next day, the incident hit the Muggle newspapers, and for decades afterward it became a pop-culture talking point. Even the Ministry of Magic couldn’t contain it — despite enlisting Muggle government help, the story spread like wildfire.

However, the Muggles didn’t seem to connect Evan with wizards. The sight of Evan riding a broom was overshadowed by something far more spectacular: the appearance of a massive, flaming serpent. They combined what they had seen with their imaginations and created a brand-new superhero, modeled after him: the Sun God.

In the fictional origin, the Sun God was a fifteen-year-old heir to an ancient British noble family, kidnapped by an evil cult devoted to a Dark deity. Intended as a human sacrifice, he instead gained the ability to control fire and summon a colossal fire serpent — both the symbol of the cult’s god and his most devastating attack.

When the fire serpent descended, the overwhelming flames would devour and destroy everything in its path.

At first, the Sun God was a minor character, invented by an obscure fan-fiction writer inspired by the widely circulated account of Evan’s duel in the Muggle world. Later, because that battle kept being brought up — and because of the Sun God’s age, noble origins, formidable powers, and mysterious background — he became highly popular in Europe and America.

He was eventually incorporated into Marvel canon and became a member of Excalibur, the British superhero team founded by Captain Britain.

He was arranged to study in the United States at Empire State University in New York, where his battle with Spider-Man became an instant classic. The two later joined forces, and as one of the Avengers’ most trusted allies, the Sun God helped secure victory after victory in impossible battles.

The Sun God film franchise became a runaway success, and within twenty years he had risen to become one of the most famous Marvel heroes in the world.

Of course, Evan himself knew nothing about this — and had no interest in finding out. He was a wizard, not a Sun God, and certainly not a superhero. Being able to control fire was perfectly natural for him.

If time allowed, he wouldn’t mind explaining to these Muggles what a wizard was, and then following up with a Memory Charm.

But right now, he didn’t have the time. He directed the fire serpent forward to blast open a gap, then flew back with Sirius.

The Death Eaters who hadn’t been touched by the flames scattered in panic. By now, they had all realized this Harry wasn’t the real Harry!

Fear spread among them, made worse by their uncertainty over who exactly Evan was — which only made him all the more terrifying.

Watching the massive fire serpent coil upward around Evan, any wizard with enough sense left could tell that such magic required exceptional mastery of both Transfiguration and spellcraft. This boy could not possibly be Harry. That meant there was no reason to fight to the death here — being injured wouldn’t earn Voldemort’s reward; it would only bring punishment.

The Death Eaters’ target tonight was Harry Potter, no one else. They had foolishly gone after the wrong person, and if the Dark Lord decided to hold them responsible…

Evan did not chase after the Death Eaters scattering in all directions, nor did he have the time to deal with the stunned Muggles below.

He needed to find Voldemort — they couldn’t expect the group being pursued by the Death Eaters to somehow shake him off through sheer luck.

Perhaps they could, but the cost would surely be more than anyone wanted to pay.

Now, Evan and Sirius were the only ones capable of fighting Voldemort!

Before leaving Privet Drive, Evan had cast a tracking spell on everyone, allowing him to sense their current location.

Any group that had reached its designated safe point was fine. But those, like them, who had stopped midway, had clearly run into trouble.

Casting the spell again, Evan discovered that one group really had come to a halt halfway — it was…

………………………………………………………………….

The sidecar and motorbike were splitting apart, the cracks widening fast. Harry stared at it in alarm.

“Hagrid!”

“What? Oh, blast, that’s bad — really bad!” Hagrid, who had been gleefully firing off spells a moment ago, finally seemed to notice Harry’s situation. He pulled his flowery pink umbrella from inside his jacket pocket, pointed it at Harry, and yelled, “I’m on it, Harry, don’ worry!”

“Hagrid! No! Let me!”

“REPARO!” Hagrid shouted. There was a deafening bang and the sidecar broke away from the bike completely: Harry sped forward, propelled by the impetus of the bike’s flight, then the sidecar began to lose height —

Harry frantically waved his wand. He knew this would happen…

In desperation, he shouted, “Wingardium Leviosa!”

The sidecar rose like a cork, unsteerable but at least still airborne: He had but a split second’s relief, however, as more curses streaked past him: The three Death Eaters were closing in.

Hagrid’s net hadn’t done a lick of damage. The fire was fine, but it had clearly missed!

“I’m comin’, Harry!” Hagrid yelled from out of the darkness, but Harry could feel the sidecar beginning to sink again: Crouching as low as he could, he pointed at the middle of the oncoming figures and yelled, “Impedimenta!”

This time, with luck, the jinx hit the middle Death Eater in the chest: For a moment the man was absurdly spread-eagled in midair as though he had hit an invisible barrier: One of his fellows almost collided with him —

Before Harry could rejoice, the sidecar began to fall in earnest, and the remaining Death Eater shot a curse so close to Harry that he had to duck below the rim of the car, knocking out a tooth on the edge of his seat, blood gushing out, and a sharp pain pierced his heart.

“I’m comin’, Harry, I’m comin’!”

A huge hand seized the back of Harry’s robes and hoisted him out of the plummeting sidecar.

Harry pulled his rucksack with him as he dragged himself onto the motorbike’s seat and found himself back-to-back with Hagrid.

As they soared upward, away from the two remaining Death Eaters, Harry spat blood out of his mouth, pointed his wand at the falling sidecar, and yelled, “Confringo!”

As the sidecar exploded, the Death Eater nearest it was blasted off his broom and fell from sight; his companion fell back and vanished.

“Harry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” moaned Hagrid, “I just got carried away firin’ that shot — yeh know the feelin’, all tha’ massive power shootin’ out, bang, hittin’ a Death Eater, and I forgot all abou’ yeh. And I shouldn’ta tried ter repair it meself — yeh’ve got no room — ah, yeh’re bleedin’!”
