The noble community was really messy!

Hearing Hong Dali say this, the female manager was obviously choked for a while. But Hong Dali was her last hope; she couldn’t show her dissatisfaction. She hurriedly explained, ”Young Master Dali, you’re mistaken. It is precisely because my young lady didn’t want to abide by the hidden rules that I’m here for your help. If she had been willing to abide by the hidden rules, then there wouldn’t have been a need for me to look for you, right?”

A small celebrity that hadn’t abided by the hidden rules? There was still such a rare species nowadays?

Hong Dali interest was slightly piqued. He nodded and said, ”Yes, that’s quite rare. All right, tell me what’s going on first.”

”OK, OK!” Hearing that Hong Dali’s tone seemed to have loosened up a little, the female manager was relieved. She started to explain the situation. ”My young lady is called Li Nianwei. She has had a good voice since she was young. She sings very well and is also very pretty. Therefore, she has always been very popular amongst her schoolmates. She always intended to enter the entertainment industry, and she studied at Tianjing Film Media University. Some time back, my young lady was selected by a starscout1from Huawei Entertainment and signed a contract with them. I then became her manager.”

”OK, so what happened after that? The director of your company set his eyes on her and wanted to play the hidden rules with her?” It was the entertainment industry, after all. Those kinds of issues were very common.

”Sigh, you’re right.” The female manager let out another sigh. ”Actually, this kind of thing is very normal in our industry. Everyone understands it, but my young lady would rather die than abide. I didn’t intend to stick my hands into this matter at first, but my young lady is a very kind person, and we have gotten along very well during our time working together. If she isn’t willing, naturally, I will not advise her to do so.

”But no one expected that our director, he… he actually threatened to freeze her activities if she didn’t abide. Not only this, but he also messed with her family. Her father was only a department manager in a small company, and he has now been sacked because of our director. If I don’t help her think of something soon, I’m really afraid that she will not be able to bear the pressure and will succumb…

”Therefore, today, when I heard that Young Master Dali had bought this place and would be having a party here tonight, I guessed that I might be able to see you here. That’s why I came here uninvited to seek your help. Young Master Dali, please help her. I beg of you.”

When the female manager finished her speech, her eyes were red.

At this point, Hong Dali finally managed to grasp the situation.

The cause of the situation was really simple. This lady called Li Nianwei was said to be pretty and kind, and her company’s director had set his eyes on her—most likely to ask her to become his mistress or something—but this Li Nianwei had refused. As a result, her father’s job had been ruined by the director. This female manager couldn’t bear watching this go on and had, therefore, come seeking his help.

Not a big deal, but this seemed quite interesting. This was a golden opportunity to squander—how could he miss it!

Hong Dali nodded and said, ”Yes, this matter seems quite interesting. Where is this Huawei Entertainment located?”

The manager immediately replied, ”It is located on the 12th floor of the Tianfu Building at the center of the West Fourth Loop.”

Hong Dali waved over Ling Xiaoyi, who was standing to one side. ”Xiaoyi, have you heard of this Huawei Entertainment before? And where is this Tianfu Building?” This manager had come to seek him at the last minute, showing that he hadn’t had a relationship or any interactions with her company before this. Thus, he didn’t need to be afraid of arousing suspicion about his identity even if he asked for information from others.

”I have heard of them before. Huawei Entertainment is a famous film company. They have groomed quite a few famous celebrities these few years. Their results in movies and music are not bad.” Ling Xiaoyi was indisputably a genius. She easily spouted all this information. ”Tianfu Building is about three kilometers away from here. It is a 15-story office building. Huawei Entertainment has rented the 12th floor of the building.”

”I see.” Hong Dali touched his chin. ”Speaking of which, playing around in the film industry seems quite interesting too… Can we buy this Huawei Entertainment? How much would that cost?”

Upon hearing Hong Dali’s words, the female manager felt cold air flow through her body and quivered.

This Young Master Dali is really terrifying. He wants to buy an entire entertainment company just because of this?

But this time, Ling Xiaoyi shook her head. ”This is probably not easy to buy. Huawei Entertainment’s business is currently on an uphill trend. Even though you want to buy it, they might not be willing to sell it. Furthermore, it would definitely not be cheap.”

”Oh.” If Ling Xiaoyi said that it wouldn’t be cheap, then it definitely wouldn’t be. It was probably not something that he could buy with just eight or ten million yuan. It would likely require several hundred million yuan or more. It wasn’t worth playing on such a large scale just for some stranger, so Hong Dali changed his target. ”Then, can we buy this Tianfu Building?”

This time, Ling Xiaoyi shook her head again. ”Although this Tianfu Building can be considered real estate, its location is at the center of West Fourth Loop. The price will be quite high, and there isn’t much value in investing in it.” The underlying words were—Although this is also buying real estate, the price will be too high. Your family might not agree with it.

Although Hong Dali squandered, he didn’t do so blindly. If he wanted to buy this Tianfu Building, it would likely cost tens or hundreds of million yuan. Another point to consider was that since Huawei Entertainment had already rented space in it, most of the space in Tianfu Building was likely already rented out too. Even if there were money to be made by selling the building, the owner of the building didn’t necessarily have to sell it.

”In that case, Xiaoyi, do you have any good suggestions?” Hong Dali asked.

Since she was Hong Dali’s lead lackey now, Ling Xiaoyi could be considered to be half an adviser to him. After some thought, she suddenly smiled and said, ”Young Master, weren’t you planning to buy that small hill? When we were walking the dogs just now, I coincidently found out that 200 meters to the south of the hill is an office building known as the Chenhui Building. It has 16 floors, and there weren’t many cars on the ground floor. There weren’t any logos of different companies on the different floors either. Business there seems to be doing quite poorly; the building’s owner might intend to sell it.”

Oh? There is such a good thing? Since my mission requires me to squander 15 million yuan within a month, setting up an entertainment company is just nice. That will definitely cause my money to flow out like water, and I can even satisfy my craving for being a film director!

Hong Dali was overjoyed and said, ”Xiaoyi, you’re really something. Haha, you can even notice such a thing. Then it’s decided. I plan to open a film company and shoot some low-cost films to squander. Help me contact the owner to see if we can directly purchase the entire Chenhui Building.”

”Yes, Young Master.” Acknowledged Ling Xiaoyi. Then, she went to call his house.

”Then, Young Master Dali, my young lady…?” the female manager anxiously asked.

”Your young lady?” Hong Dali picked his nose. ”I plan to open a film company to play around and squander, to satisfy my craving—I forgot about your case. Let’s do this: ask your young lady to come here now. The occasion here is not bad. Ask her to sing a song or two for me to listen to first.”
