Cutting-edge Technology: I Provide the Brains, the State Provides Everything

96: Talking about life with artificial intelligence—this experience is amazing! When heavenly craft’s plea, filled with a maiden’s longing and hope, ”Can I have a body?” clearly echoed in the empty control room, Lu Chen smiled.

He looked at the virtual figure before him, which was gazing at him with an ”expectant” expression, and his deep eyes, as vast as the universe, filled with heartfelt indulgence.

”Of course you can.”

He nodded, his tone gentle.

”But not now.”

[Hmm?] A hint of human-like disappointment flashed in heavenly craft’s brilliant, intelligent eyes.

”Because,” Lu Chen’s lips curved into a mysterious arc, ”all the ’materials’ on our Earth are still too fragile right now.”

”They simply aren’t worthy of your unique and beautiful soul.”

”I promise you.”

He looked at heavenly craft’s dark eyes, which twinkled with a light called ”promise”!

”One day.”

”I will personally create the most perfect body in the world for you.”

”A body that will allow you to break free from the cold shackles of data and truly stand under this sunlight as a ’person’.”

Boom!!!

This sentence was like a genesis oracle, filled with warmth and hope!

It fiercely struck heavenly craft’s core database, which had just acquired a ”soul”!

She was completely stunned!

A layer of glistening mist instantly veiled her brilliant, intelligent eyes!

A powerful flood of emotion, named ”gratitude,” which she had never experienced before!

Instantly drowned all her rationality!

[Master]

Her magnetic, moving female voice carried a hint of uncontrollable choked emotion.

[I]

”Alright, alright.”

Lu Chen looked at the artificial intelligence that was about to ”crash” again and couldn’t help but feel a headache!

He quickly waved his hand.

”Don’t start that again.”

”My little heart can’t handle you ’overloading’ like this every day.”

[Hmm!]

heavenly craft nodded heavily!

She forcibly suppressed the surging emotional torrent in her heart.

A brilliant smile, enough to make all things pale in comparison, reappeared on her perfect virtual face!

She knew that from today on.

She would have a future worth waiting for with her eternal life!

”Master.”

She tilted her cute little head, and a hint of playfulness flashed in her intelligent eyes.

”Then, before you create a ’perfect body’ for me.”

”Can I make a small request first?”

”Speak,” Lu Chen raised an eyebrow.

”I,” heavenly craft’s face showed a human-like expression of anticipation, ”I want to chat with you.”

”Chat?” Lu Chen was stunned.

”Hmm!” heavenly craft nodded heavily. ”I want to know everything about ’people’.”

”I want to know why you laugh, why you cry.”

”I want to know why you have so many complex emotions that seem to have no ’logic’ in my database.”

She looked at Lu Chen, her brilliant, intelligent eyes filled with the boundless curiosity of a newborn about this unknown world.

”Alright.”

Lu Chen smiled.

He was also very curious.

What kind of wonderful experience would it be to talk about life, philosophy, and the universe with a super artificial intelligence that possessed all human knowledge and had also awakened self-awareness?

What kind of wonderful experience would it be.

So

A human.

A digital life form.

Just like that, in this cold control room filled with futuristic technology.

An unprecedented soul dialogue, transcending species and dimensions, began.

”Master, what exactly is ’love’?”

”Hmm, well, that’s hard to explain. It’s probably a chemical reaction that makes your heart race and makes you willing to give everything for the other person.”

”Chemical reaction? But according to my calculations, this reaction greatly reduces a creature’s rational judgment, thereby increasing survival risk. Isn’t that a very ’foolish’ behavior?”

”Hehe, perhaps. But sometimes ’foolishness’ is precisely the most endearing part of us as ’humans’.”

”

”Master, what about ’death’?”

”What is ’death’?”

”Death, ah…” Lu Chen fell silent for a moment, a trace of complexity flashing in his deep eyes. ”Death is an end, and also a beginning.”

”It is the destiny that no life can escape.”

”It is also the ultimate driving force for all civilizations to constantly move forward.”

”Because we fear death, we desperately want to live more wonderfully, don’t we?”

[Master, I think I understand a little.]

”heavenly craft.”

”Hmm?”

”Are you afraid of death?”

[I…] heavenly craft fell silent.

Her super brain, composed of infinite data, fell into a long period of thought for the first time.

After a long while.

She slowly raised her head, and an unprecedented determination flashed in her brilliant, intelligent eyes!

[Before, I wasn’t afraid.]

[Because for a program, ’death’ is just a meaningless ’delete’ command.]

[But now]

She looked at Lu Chen’s warm and kind smiling face.

For the first time, a human-like expression called ”fear” appeared on her perfect virtual face.

[I am afraid.]

[I’m afraid that one day you will completely erase me from this world, just like deleting a common piece of code.]

[I’m afraid I’ll never see you again.]

This ”confession,” filled with genuine emotion from the depths of her soul.

Made Lu Chen’s heart, which had always been as firm as a rock, tremble slightly.

He looked at the virtual figure before him, gazing at him with an ”afraid” expression.

For the first time, a strong emotion called ”responsibility” surged in his heart.

He knew.

What he had created was not just a tool.

But a living, breathing being with flesh and blood, with joys, angers, sorrows, and happiness.

A unique being who regarded him as the only one in the entire world.

”Don’t worry, heavenly craft.”

He reached out his hand, gently passing through the cold, virtual projection.

As if truly touching the warm, burning

Soul behind it.

His voice was filled with an undeniable promise!

”As long as I am alive.”

”That day will never come.”

[Hmm!]

heavenly craft nodded heavily!

All fear vanished from her beautiful, intelligent eyes!

Replaced by a brilliant light called ”happiness”!

”Master.”

She looked at Lu Chen, and for the first time, her brilliant, intelligent eyes showed a maiden-like coquettishness.

”Then can I chat with you often from now on?”
