Cutting-edge Technology: I Provide the Brains, the State Provides Everything

64: Ximeng’s mockery: The people of Xia will never be able to manufacture high-end chips! When the colossal national machine of Xia Nation went into an unprecedented ”wartime” state, operating frantically for the ”Kuafu” chip project.

Thousands of miles away, the Western Alliance.

Was filled with the joyful atmosphere of victors.

ASML Company, Headquarters Press Conference Hall.

This was a sacred place for all chip industry professionals worldwide!

Because it monopolized the most cutting-edge industrial pearl on this planet—

EUV Lithography Machine!

And today, it was packed to the brim!

A sea of people!

Reporters with long and short lenses from thousands of top media outlets worldwide were standing by, ready.

Everyone’s gaze was focused on the spirited Dutch man standing at the center of the press conference stage!

He was Peter Winningk, the current CEO of ASML!

A tech tsar who controlled the life and death of all high-end chips worldwide!

”Ladies and gentlemen!”

Winningk stood under the spotlight, a confident, victorious smile on his face!

Behind him, a huge holographic screen continuously played a promotional video of their latest 3nm EUV Lithography Machine, full of industrial beauty!

”Today!”

”I stand here to announce an exciting piece of good news to the whole world!”

He spread his arms, like a monarch embracing the world!

”With the combined efforts of our great Western Alliance Technology Alliance!”

”Our 3nm EUV Lithography Machine has successfully achieved mass production!”

”From today onwards!”

”Human chip technology will officially enter a brand new era!”

His words were impassioned!

Filled with a savior-like pride and arrogance!

It instantly ignited the Western media reporters below the stage, who had been waiting for a long time!

”Clap clap clap clap!”

A thunderous applause echoed throughout the entire press hall!

Countless flashes, full of flattery and praise, flickered wildly!

As if celebrating a great victory!

However, just then.

A discordant voice suddenly rang out from a corner of the reporter’s section.

”Mr. Winningk!”

A young female reporter from a Xia Nation official media outlet bravely stood up, raised her microphone, and asked with neither servility nor arrogance:

”Excuse me, will ASML sell this latest 3nm lithography machine to Xia Nation?”

”If not.”

”Does this mean that the Western Alliance will impose stricter technical blockades on Xia Nation?”

Her question was extremely sharp!

Like a sharp scalpel!

It instantly cut through the peaceful ”victory” atmosphere at the scene!

The entire press hall instantly fell silent.

Everyone’s eyes immediately focused on the Xia Nation female reporter!

Their gazes were full of mockery, sarcasm, and undisguised hostility!

And Winningk’s smile on the chairman’s stand instantly froze.

He looked at the Xia Nation female reporter, who didn’t know her place, and a hint of cold disgust flashed in his blue eyes!

But he was, after all, a top magnate who controlled a trillion-dollar business empire.

He quickly adjusted his expression.

And put on that ”benevolent” smile again.

Only this time, his smile contained a hint of cat-and-mouse cruelty and contempt!

”Oh? My beautiful Miss Xia Nation.”

He looked at the young female reporter and smiled faintly.

”Your question is very good.”

”And very naive.”

”Sell our most advanced lithography machines to Xia Nation?”

He shrugged exaggeratedly, as if he had heard a huge joke!

”Miss, are you kidding me?”

”As everyone knows.”

”The lithography machine is the crystallization of the wisdom of our entire Western civilization!”

”Its more than 100,000 precision parts come from thousands of our Western Alliance’s top high-tech companies!”

”Without us!”

”Without our great Western Alliance Technology Alliance!”

”Let alone manufacturing!”

”You Xia Nation people can’t even repair and maintain it!”

His words were extremely arrogant!

Full of the Germans’ deeply ingrained racial superiority!

It instantly triggered a collective climax among the Western media reporters below the stage!

”Hahahahaha!”

”Well said, Mr. Winningk!”

”Xia Nation people are just a bunch of thieves who only copy and plagiarize!”

”Without us, they can’t even make the tip of a ballpoint pen!”

”And they want to build lithography machines?! That’s simply a fool’s dream!”

Listening to the overwhelming taunts, full of ignorance and prejudice, that echoed in her ears.

The young Xia Nation female reporter’s delicate face instantly flushed red!

She bit her lip tightly, her bright eyes filled with humiliation and unwillingness!

But she couldn’t refute a single word!

Because what Winningk said, though harsh.

Was a bloody fact!

And Winningk on the chairman’s stand was like a general who had won a crucial battle.

His face was filled with the victor’s smugness and pleasure!

He looked at the Xia Nation female reporter, who was so humiliated she couldn’t speak, and slowly raised the microphone in his hand.

He spoke clearly, word by word, in a tone almost like a divine pronouncement:

”I can responsibly tell everyone present here.”

”And tell the whole world!”

”We ASML will never sell any EUV Lithography Machine to Xia Nation!”

”And, Xia Nation people...”

The corners of his mouth curved into a cold, cruel arc!

”Will never be able to build even the most backward high-end chip by themselves!”

He didn’t know.

Just as he uttered this ”divine judgment” full of arrogance and ignorance.

Thousands of miles away.

In the country he called ”unable to even make a ballpoint pen tip.”

An eighteen-year-old youth.

Was standing in the huge Kunlun Mountain Underground Base.

Facing the thousands of white-haired, national-treasure-level scientists behind him.

Issued a general attack order that would make the entire world tremble!

”Seniors.”

Lu Chen looked at the arrogant scene of the ASML press conference, broadcast live by heavenly craft, in front of him.

His face showed no ripple.

He simply turned around calmly, facing the eyes burning with raging anger behind him.

He said faintly:

”I think...”

”They’ve already delivered the declaration of war to our doorstep.”

”Shouldn’t we...”

”Send them a small ’return gift’ too?”
