Reborn in the 90s with a Space: Winning Back My Husband

”What is it?”

Shen Nian looked at Lin Jingyun in confusion. Lin Jingyun had told her quite a lot yesterday. ’Could she have forgotten something?’

”I was supposed to tell you yesterday, but I forgot. I almost forgot again today! Xiao Nian, you know that vegetable patch in front of our family compound? Every household here gets assigned a plot, and you and Lu Cheng have one too.”

”A vegetable plot?”

Shen Nian’s eyes lit up at the words. It wasn’t that she was particularly eager to farm, but with a vegetable plot, it would be far less suspicious when she took vegetables out of her space!

’Yeah, this vegetable plot system is a great idea!’

”I can tell by the look on your face that you like the idea. And since you don’t seem busy right now, how about I take you to see your plot?”

Lin Jingyun knew Shen Nian came from the countryside, so she figured a vegetable plot would be useful to her. Seeing Shen Nian’s eyes light up, Lin Jingyun knew she’d been right to bring it up.

”Great!”

Besides, with Lu Cheng away, Shen Nian was happy to find something to do. ’This is perfect,’ she thought. ’If I have a vegetable plot, I can start planting right away. Then I’ll have a legitimate reason to bring out vegetables from my space sooner.’

The two of them left as they spoke. However, just as they stepped out the door, they happened to run into Liu Fanglan, who was just returning.

Liu Fanglan glanced at Shen Nian, her expression a complicated mix of gloating and disdain, which, toward the end, was even tinged with a hint of pity.

However, before Shen Nian and Lin Jingyun could say anything, Liu Fanglan hurriedly opened the door to the apartment across the hall, went inside, and quickly shut it.

”...”

Shen Nian and Lin Jingyun exchanged a look. What was that all about? Something about Liu Fanglan today seemed very off, completely different from yesterday.

’Could what happened yesterday really have affected her that much?’

”She’s acting so weird. Anyway, forget her. Let’s go!”

Lin Jingyun was very familiar with the family compound and quickly led Shen Nian to the plot that had been assigned to her family.

But, to their surprise, the plot that should have been empty was already planted with vegetables.

Clearly, someone else had taken over the plot that belonged to Shen Nian and Lu Cheng.

Lin Jingyun looked a little awkward. To be honest, this sort of thing wasn’t unheard of. Not every family used their vegetable plot, so it wasn’t uncommon for people to make use of the empty ones.

Since Shen Nian and Lu Cheng hadn’t been living here, it was only natural that someone had started using their empty plot.

”Don’t worry, Xiao Nian. We’ll just talk to whoever took the plot and have them clear it out for you. Luckily, the vegetables planted here are all the kind that can be easily transplanted.”

”Okay. Thank you for coming all this way with me, Sister Jingyun.”

”It’s no trouble at all! And since we’re already here, I’ll go ask around and see who’s using your plot. We’ll get them to clear it out for you right away.”

With that, Lin Jingyun went to ask around. It wasn’t long before she returned, though the look on her face was a bit peculiar.

Talk about a small world. The person using Shen Nian’s plot was none other than Liu Fanglan, the very neighbor she had clashed with before.

If it had been any other family, Lin Jingyun would have been confident she could get them to clear out the plot in no time.

But with the other party being Liu Fanglan, her confidence wasn’t nearly as strong.
