ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

「Look! Look at the development of the angry waves of crystal and die! I activate the effect of the Crystal Scorpion Flock! By destroying this card, I can summon the monster that contains the words “Crystal Scorpion Flock” in its name from my hand to the Origin zone! And the best thing here is this:; I can do that with as many cards as I want!」

Fuauhahahaha! Spectacular! Yes, this is nothing short of spectacular!!!

「And from here on out it will only get worse, so despair! I activate the Stimulator ability of the “Crystal Scorpion Flock” from my hand! When a monster with power less than or equal to the total attack power of the Crystal Scorpion Flock on the field divided by the number of monsters in the opponent’s Origin Zone is summoned or would undergo the process of Evolution, I can destroy that monster!」

All of the conditions have been achieved by having four Crystal Scorpion Flocks on the field. The environment is nothing short but perfect here, and the Old Crystal Scorpion Flock is present in my hand as well, ready to be used as a “Stimulator” at any moment!」

「Now, opening the Diagram of the Tree of Life! The bright glow of the Moonlight, shine your lonely brilliance down onto this crystal battlefield!」

I’m not the one who thought about this line, so this is all in the flavor text. Therefore, if it is not something that I have personally come up with, saying it out loud won’t be cringey! No, not at all!!

「Now I shall use the Spell Phenomenon “Unbalanced Mutation”! By returning the four Crystal Scorpion Flocks that are in the field and every other “Crystal Scorpion Flock” card that is currently in my graveyard into my deck, I can summon this here Evolution Monster for free! Now, let its name be known! Come on out, Golden Crystal Scorpion!!!」

This here board right now is nothing short of perfect…… How about that, Brave Fish, you utter fool? Surely you must be stunned after witnessing my genius tactics in the action, huh?

「And with that I bring my turn to the end……」

「AHH……」

「Huh? What? What was that just now?」

「NO, WELL, HOW SHOULD I PUT IT……? I GUESS THAT THOSE KINDS OF EXPERIENCES ARE NEEDED AS WELL.」

Hmm? Could it be that this particular board is not perfect? But everything is here as it should be! The Golden Crystal Scorpion is an “Evolution Monster” that can act on the opponent’s turn, and even if it won’t be able to bring the match to a close it can at least put some serious wrench in the plans of the enemy. Not to mention the field effects of the Crystal Scorpion Flock and everything else…… In my eyes, this here is the perfect board that could not possibly be defeated by anything.

And it was then that the enemy NPC started to make its moves. Not that there was anything that it could do to me at the current moment, but still, let it have its fun, I guess……

「My, turn. I shall use the spell card “Environmental Collapse” from my hand, destroying your “Regulated Condition Area / Crystal”. Next, I will use the Spell Card from my hand to make the Golden Crystal Scorpion unable to use its special effect.」

「Huh?」

「Next, I will use the “Goblin” card from my hand. Then /I shall use the Field Spell Card “Food Chain / Lower”. Thanks to that, I can double the number of the monsters “Ragin Oaks” that I have in my hand, as well as the “Goblin” cards in my hand.」

「Now way, wait just a moment here! The effect of the Golden Crystal Scorpion should resolve before the Field Spell has time to resolve! It should be able to destroy it no problem!」

「I am not finished.」

「Houh!?」

I have a bad feeling about this. No, I have a VERY bad feeling about this! Only one piece of my field was destroyed. But still, it was the most important part of the entire freaking puzzle here……!

「Without the field effect, the Golden Crystal Scorpion’s effect cannot activate as well. I will now play the “Stimulator” effect “Wise Goblin”…… and with that I will end my turn……」

「…… Huh, but still, I should have my Evolution Monster on the field, and even without its effect it should be a force to be reckoned with. Surely, that way, there is still something that……」

「At the current moment, neither “Crystal Scorpion Flock” or the “Golden Crystal Scorpion” will be able to activate their effects.」

「Huh!? Wait, no way!? No, I mean, wait! That’s my……」

「Effect Activation Priority. With that, the number of monsters will fluctuate. With that, the Crystal Scorpion Flock will be left all alone on the field, and it will be exterminated. Extinction all across the board, with nothing left to protect the enemy!」

「HOOOOUUUUUHHHH!?」

「What’s more! With that, the opponent is no longer going to be able to summon any monster under their command, no matter if it is normal summon or a special kind of summon.」

「……………」

「Well then, now it’s your turn…… What would you like to do? Keep on playing? Hope to turn things around? Or maybe you’d like to surrender?」

「Alright, I get it! I surrender! Happy now? I surrender!」

…

………

……………

「Oh, well if it isn’t Sanraku! How is it? Did you have a good look around the place? Or maybe you already managed to gather yourself some points? Because just so to let you know, we had a really good harvest right there! Like, you wouldn’t even believe it!」

「Hm? Are you playing that Trading Card Game? I would advise against that. That Trading Card Game is no good. Both gameplay-wise and point-wise. You would do best to just forget all about it and do not get involved with it any more than absolutely necessary. Or best, do not bother with it at all.」

「Huh? No good? Whatever do you mean by that? And you only are telling me this now!?」
