Global Lords: Me and My Calabash Kiddos

Chapter 233: Chapter 122: Telepathy and the Terrifying Cloud Killing Array (Part 2)

”Jinming, the troops have landed, organize the formation. Once the formation is complete, we will depart together,” Zijin Guang instructed Zijin Ming.

”Understood, Guang.”

Zijin Ming departed to organize the large contingent.

”Hmm?”

”You all, follow me first.”

Zijin Guang, along with Yinjun and a Platinum Warrior, and dozens of Golden Guards, prepared to detach from the troop for reconnaissance.

He noticed flags fluttering in the grass ahead. The sky was gloomy, and heavy rain fell like a curtain, making it hard to see clearly.

Curious, Zijin Guang went ahead to inspect.

At this moment, Tai Zhong, crouched within a berry shrub, felt a jolt in his heart.

Why are only dozens of enemies approaching?

According to Tai Zhong’s plan, eliminating hundreds of enemies was not an issue.

Dozens of enemies weren’t worth his effort!

Moreover, with such a distance and the rain obscuring visibility, Tai Zhong couldn’t assess the opponent’s strength without activating the array.

Gradually, the enemies entered into the range of the array...

”Damn it, they’ve found my array flag because of the wind.”

Seeing the direction Zijin Guang was heading, Tai Zhong immediately realized the situation.

The wind was too strong, scattering the grass and revealing the array flag.

Tai Zhong could only curse his bad luck.

Otherwise, considering the Purple Wind Tribe’s landing site, he could have trapped thousands, and slain hundreds before the array’s energy depleted.

”It’s just you few dozen now!” Tai Zhong decided swiftly, leaping out of the grass.

He couldn’t ascertain whether the enemies would recognize the array flag, but he needed to eliminate them before the flag was exposed and destroyed.

Who knows, there might be a big catch!

”Who goes there?”

Several hundred meters away, Zijin Guang immediately spotted a blurred figure in the rain.

He shouted sharply, drawing his Treasure Sword.

The nearby Yinjun and other warriors also raised their spears vigilantly.

In the tempest and downpour, Tai Zhong held the main array flag in one hand and an A-level Long Blade in the other, advancing towards Zijin Guang.

Though the rain poured heavily, the water parted around Tai Zhong, leaving him untouched.

”Cloud Killing Array, rise!”

After taking a dozen steps, Tai Zhong planted the array flag into the ground.

Four A-level Beast Cores were tossed from his hand, landing around the array flag.

In an instant, the four A-level Beast Cores shattered, their pure white energy flooding into the array flag.

Simultaneously, in an area spanning one kilometer, scores of array flags became visible, and the B-level Beast Cores beneath them shattered soundlessly.

Furthermore, within this kilometer, hundreds of small stones were buried, each inscribed with an array pattern, beside which lay a C-level Beast Core.

The next second, a maelstrom of wind replaced the tempest and rain within the kilometer radius.

Dozens of array flags shot out energy, creating an exchanging mesh overhead, enveloping the surroundings.

Hundreds of beams of white light shot up in this kilometer radius.

The world transformed, leaving Zijin Guang and his men unable to respond.

In just a second, they were enveloped by fog, obscuring vision beyond their arms’ reach.

”Yinjun, what’s happening?”

The rain suddenly stopped, leaving Zijin Guang bewildered.

He quickly called out to the Yinjun beside him.

”...”

Yet there was only silence in response.

”Yinjun, Yinjun...”

”Anyone there... where are you?”

Zijin Guang continued to call out, but no one answered!

An array!

Zijin Guang recalled the records about arrays in ancient texts.

He took a deep breath, gripping his Treasure Sword tightly, activating his A-level Talent, Wind Movement. Being trapped in an array, he needed to find a way out.

The ancient texts noted that finding the array’s core was the key to escaping.

The Treasure Bow on Zijin Guang’s back had an attack power of 1500, with Archery Mastery at LV.3.

Yet in this blind world, the bow and arrows served no purpose.

”Not bad, not bad. There are still three Platinum Warriors, one even possesses a talent. Even if not the number one target, surely the second. The Points Tower rewards extra for capturing special figures. This one should count as special, right?”

At the heart of the array lay a vast vortex, where Tai Zhong stood.

This was the core of the Cloud Killing Array.

Tai Zhong’s Spiritual Power flowed from the vast vortex to hundreds of small vortices within the array, allowing him to sense every movement.

Tai Zhong could roughly gauge the enemy’s strength within the array.

”Also aspiring to find the core! For one who doesn’t understand arrays, that’s a fool’s dream. My Cloud Killing Array is not just a trapping array, but also a killing and illusionary array. If one doesn’t understand arrays, the only way out is with sheer force. Obviously, you lack the power to break the Cloud Killing Array.”

”I’ll leave you for last while I handle the others.”

Like a villain, Tai Zhong pointed out targets among the Purple Wind Tribe warriors within the array.

A Late-Golden Warrior from the Purple Wind Tribe was walking, when suddenly, the small vortex beneath him began to expand without him noticing...

”Swish!”

”Ah!”

A Sword Qi flew from the vortex, accompanied by a scream, as the Late-Golden Warrior’s chest bone cracked open, blood gushing forth.

This sound echoed throughout the array.

Eerily, all the Purple Wind Tribe warriors within the array heard the scream echoing repeatedly.

The echo lingered in their ears, impossible to dismiss.

It was like the call of death!

Some Golden Warriors recognized the voice, turning around continuously with their weapons poised against potential sneak attacks.

A Late-Golden Warrior remained about seven or eight meters from a small vortex.

This warrior, with wide purple eyes, occasionally swung his blade as if prepared to strike any ”existent” foes.

He failed to notice the subtle expansion of the vortex beyond those seven or eight meters, quietly widening.
