Global Lords: Me and My Calabash Kiddos

”I am assigning forty Prison Guards and nine from the Points Tower for you to command! Do your best. I think eighteen people are enough on the Platinum Battleship for now; the remaining fifty or so all go to the Diamond Battleship. All you need to do is ensure the Prison Guards get familiar with the power system and secondary artillery as soon as possible.”

At this point, Yi Tian’s territory had a complete personnel division!

Forty Navy, forty Prison Guards, ten members at the Points Tower including Gu Qianqiu who also served as the Tower Master.

The Dragon Sparrow Guard, including Guan Yu, totaled 1,011 people.

And the Array Master, Tai Zhong!

With the Auction House unable to purchase Human Race slaves, Yi Tian had no way of acquiring new people.

Once this assessment is over, a large batch of slaves will certainly flood the market.

Though slaves are important, many Lords simply lack the strength to handle so many captives.

”Thank you, Lord. With the extra forty-nine people, we are more than enough to accomplish our mission!”

Their Navy had always trained using target boats, with each person having fired hundreds of rounds, consuming a great number of Beast Cores. They already had some accuracy and were no longer just guessing.

”Good! Now, I hereby name the new Platinum-level battleship as the Heroic Ship and the Diamond-level battleship as the Divine Fury Ship. I hope you all fight heroically, earning renown for the territory and making the enemy fear us as gods.”

Yi Tian officially named the two battleships and reassigned the Navy: ”Yun Hai, you will serve as Valor Ship Captain; Yun Che, Heroic Ship Captain; Yun Tao, Divine Fury Ship Captain and Fleet Commander. As for the other vice-captains and team leaders, you may appoint your own!”

”Thank you, Lord. We will defend our waters with our lives and protect the territory.”

The three, Yun Tao and company, received their orders with high morale.

”Although it’s already late, time is pressing. After the Prison Guards board, each warship cannon must fire off a hundred shells before rest is permitted,” Yi Tian instructed Yun Tao and the others before leaving.

”Understood!”

Newcomers needed to practice with live ammunition, and no one felt anything was wrong about it.

Tomorrow, Yi Tian would send fifty Fire Elemental Soldiers to board the Valor Ship, fifty Water Element Warriors to the Heroic Ship, and one hundred Wood Elemental Warriors and one hundred Thunder Element Soldiers to the Divine Fury Ship.

To strengthen the ships’ close-range combat power.

At this time, most Elemental Warriors had Spiritual Power between 640 and 650.

They could kill late-stage Gold opponents.

The first thirty-six Elemental Warriors all had three-dimensional stats above 700; the top Elemental Warrior, Feng Yi, had 750 Spiritual Power.

If the enemy fielded Bronze Assault Boats, then the three main ships would coordinate long-range attacks, while Elemental Warriors would handle close defense.

They would strive to sap some of the enemy’s strength and reduce the pressure on the city’s defenses.

But things rarely go as planned; the city would only be able to complete Gravity Arrays on the north and east sides.

The south and west could only be held by force.

Yi Tian made another round of the territory—three thousand mu of farmland, five hundred mu of which was for fruits and vegetables.

A hailstorm caused heavy losses to Yi Tian’s fruits and veggies. Less than half of the vegetables survived.

Pitiful watermelons—just about to ripen—were mostly shattered, with the few remaining covered with pockmarks.

Luckily, the grain was resilient; by the second and third of next month, it would be ripe.

The livestock and poultry went a day or two without food, but that wasn’t a big issue.

Now the free-range chickens were starting to lay eggs, so Yi Tian could make his specialty, lotus egg soup, for the Little Kiddo.

Yi Tian had a lot of money on hand, but what annoyed him most was holding onto depreciating Celestial Dao Coins.

High-level Golden Mechanic Guards were excellent, but none were available in the Auction House.

Three-dimensional Combat Soldiers were even more impossible to buy.

With Heroic City under Yi Tian’s control, there was almost no room for improvement.

Many Lords from Ordinary Regions dig traps, but these were of little use to Yi Tian.

”Buy gold! After the assessment, gold should rise in value. If I want to develop, I have to wait until next season. I’ll buy gold!”

”Indigenous gold has increased twentyfold; even the Flower Thorn Dynasty treats it as a treasure. Indigenous gold can no longer flood the Auction House market. Lords are using up more gold, but gold from the mines is growing scarcer. Hoarding gold, whether for personal use or investment, is the best choice.”

”In addition, with over ten billion spent on gold, my trading volume at the Auction House has soared. Wealth Tower should level up soon.”

Thinking about this, Yi Tian arrived at the vault right next to War Manor.

Currently, the vault held 51.28 million in gold.

The underground vault was full.

Yi Tian was constantly purchasing gold from the Auction House; each Lord only had so much to sell, and buying was very troublesome.

After buying all night, Yi Tian spent a total of 17.488 billion.

Purchasing 43.72 million Celestial Dao Units of gold.

He rounded out the vault, for a total of 95 million Celestial Dao Units.

Celestial Dao Coin balance: 128.01 million.

The vault holding a hundred million in gold was almost full; Yi Tian felt a strong sense of accomplishment.

This gold could rebuild a territory with the same points as his—an important economic asset for future development.

From this moment, Wealthiest in the World truly lived up to its reputation in every region, possessing hundreds of billions in Celestial Dao Coin wealth.

Although it was already early morning, the territory’s guns over the water had just fallen silent.

Dragon Sparrow Guard had trained through the night, just leaving the Training Ground.

When Yi Tian went to inspect the eastern Gravity Array, Tai Zhong had just finished setting it up.

”East and north fronts are completed, but there wasn’t enough time for the west and south,” Tai Zhong cupped his hands to Yi Tian.

”Thank you, Mr. Tai Zhong. With the east and north secure, our victory is assured!”

No matter what, confidence must prevail.

Just like when Earth’s armies rallied in ancient times; at oath-taking ceremonies, no General would say dispiriting words to damage morale.

”Reporting to my Lord, the Cloud Killing Array is still intact on the eastern flank. If the enemy lands from the east tomorrow, I can go to the Cloud Killing Array first and ambush a portion of the enemy,” Tai Zhong requested of Yi Tian.
