Global Lords: Me and My Calabash Kiddos

Chapter 138: Chapter 95: Flower Thorn Prince, Falling Out

High numbers of missions, mercenaries with high success rates are different.

Hundreds of mercenary tasks with a 100% success rate represent true mercenaries aiming to become the King of Mercenaries.

Unless it’s someone like the Wealthiest in the World with assets in the billions, it won’t arouse greed.

Moreover, a strong success rate represents more substantial strength, able to protect the employer’s life.

While Yi Tian is waiting for the task, he opens the regional channel.

The Lords are discussing that if they can hire a mercenary to eliminate the Summer Beast and Flame Beast, they wouldn’t have to suffer anymore.

But in the Mercenary Manual, it’s clearly written in black and white that Celestial Beast tasks cannot be accepted by mercenaries.

The Eight Great Celestial Beasts are tests set by the Celestial Dao Rules for Lords. The Celestial Dao Rules do not allow for any loopholes.

”Mercenary System prompt, an employer has sent you a task request. Task requirement: Together with other mercenaries, resist the indigenous invasion.”

”Indigenous warriors, a total of 100 Mid-stage Silver and Late-stage warriors, 6 Golden warriors.”

”Three Early-stage Gold, two Mid-stage Gold.”

Yi Tian, upon seeing this task, accepted it without much hesitation.

Yi Tian alone would be able to handle it.

Not to mention that the employer, to be on the safe side, had hired other mercenaries.

With a Celestial Dao Stone in hand, a flash of white light, Yi Tian teleports to the employer’s territory.

Wearing Dragon Scale Armor, with a Dragon Bow on the left waist and a Cyan Gang Sword on the right waist, and a quiver on his back.

Yi Tian armed himself to the teeth, exuding a sense of wealth.

In addition, with a full set of skills and talents, Yi Tian, though just entering B-level, showcased the momentum of a Late-stage B-level.

Yi Tian appeared on a five-meter-high wall, under the speechless gaze of the employer and another mercenary.

”This is Great Sea Bubble, hope you can work together and help me through this crisis,” the employer introduced the other mercenary to Yi Tian.

The employer belongs to the Dao Body Race with four fingers, Great Sea Bubble is from a race with golden hair, blue eyes, and green skin.

The employer has little money and can only hire two B-level mercenaries.

A-level mercenaries now have a minimum hiring fee of 500,000.

The employer, seeing the second in the world, with such a high success rate, hired him without hesitation because he was so cheap.

Now at a glance, they seem to be quite impressive.

Yi Tian is hidden within the armor, lowering the visor, making his face indistinct.

With sharp eyes and a 100% success rate, he exudes a decisive and murderous momentum.

”Taking people’s money, solving people’s problems. I, the second in the world, always value credibility,” Yi Tian said solemnly, then nodded kindly towards Great Sea Bubble.

Yi Tian could see that the employer was only Early-stage B-level, with three-dimensional stats around 500, quite marginal strength. Great Sea Bubble, Mid-stage Gold, with three-dimensional stats over 800.

But what puzzled Yi Tian was that the employer’s strength was average, with only about twenty slaves, and the territory level seemed average, at most Level 5.

Yet it attracted over a hundred Mid-stage and Late-stage Silver indigenous people and six Early and Mid-stage Gold indigenous people.

And this attack timing clearly indicated indigenous retaliation.

Had this guy killed the indigenous people’s prince, priest successor, or the likes?

This kind of thing, Yi Tian cannot ask.

The dust of the natives is getting closer...

However, Great Sea Bubble’s gaze flickered, ”The second in the world,” this set of combat armor is probably worth more than his entire net worth.

Also, the Dragon Bow, undoubtedly not a mortal object.

The Mercenary Manual stipulates that if an employer hires two mercenaries and a conflict occurs between them, the Lord who initially instigated the conflict will be punished, not able to accept any tasks for a month.

This punishment, in the race-against-time Celestial Dao World, is not light.

But also not heavy.

If the instigator is injured or killed.

Deserved!

The Mercenary System has always been clear about grudges.

Great Sea Bubble has completed 105 missions, with a success rate of 97.14%, which means three failed missions.

Seeing countless mercenaries with over a hundred missions and a 100% success rate in the Mercenary System, Great Sea Bubble feels that he is drifting further from becoming the King of Mercenaries.

Great Sea Bubble thought, if he could seize this equipment, not accepting tasks for a month wouldn’t matter much.

But in the ever-changing Celestial Dao World, a set of advanced armor could save a life.

Having had this thought, Great Sea Bubble suddenly found fighting the indigenous people dull.

”Lord, release our prince. We will retreat immediately, we have no intention of being your enemy!”

The indigenous people on the other side came to the base of the wall, intending to negotiate first before fighting.

This is a race with mottled patterns all over their bodies, standing at two meters tall, with three sharp long thorns growing from the arms of every soldier.

Yes!

Soldiers indeed!

Yi Tian saw such a disciplined military for the first time. Compared to them, the Horn Alliance was a motley crew.

Uniform red armor, uniform long spears, the soldiers synchronized in action.

At the leader’s raise of a hand, the soldiers immediately stopped, no one whispered.

Every soldier fixed their gaze on the top of the wall, gripping their spears tightly, ready to charge relentlessly at the leader’s command.

Yi Tian learned from the Celestial Dao Stone that this race is called the Flower Thorn Race.

Furthermore, it’s actually a kingdom.

The leaders, two of them, are a Captain and a Deputy Captain.

The remaining four Golden Warriors serve as captains.

”If I release your prince, will you really retreat?” Even after hiring two mercenaries, the employer still lacked confidence.

He actually made such naive remarks!

However, no one noticed the desolation in his eyes.

”Haha, of course! Our Flower Thorn Kingdom always keeps its word and never breaks it!”

The Captain laughed heartily and said sincerely.
