Comprehension Ability: Creating and teaching the Dao in various worlds

Chapter 240: Chapter 3: Century Plan (Subscription Requested)

Cloud Mist Blessed Land.

Misty Immortal Qi.

Atop the mountain loft, Lin Yuan lay on a recliner, leisurely ingesting the “Innate Purple Qi” that appeared only in the early morning.

Innate Purple Qi is a kind of nature’s spiritual energy that can dispel hidden injuries, nourish the physical body, and greatly assist those following the Body Cultivation path.

Compared to twenty years ago, Lin Yuan looked much healthier, and his body had grown considerably stronger.

“Young Master, here is the Misty Cloud Immortal Tea that has been prepared.”

...
Chunhua and Qiuyue, two Golden Core Realm Female Cultivators, approached respectfully.

After placing the Misty Cloud Immortal Tea in front of Lin Yuan, the two women came to his side and began massaging him with their slender hands.

“Young Master, the practice of Body Cultivation is too taxing, do you need to rest…” Qiuyue whispered.

“No need.”

“Both of you may leave now.”

Lin Yuan, without lifting his eyelids, spoke casually.

“As you wish…”

Qiuyue’s expression was somewhat disappointed as she respectfully bowed and then left the mountain loft.

…

On the mountain path.

Chunhua and Qiuyue spoke softly.

“The Young Master is so determined, to cultivate the Body Cultivation to the Golden Core Stage, how much pain must he endure?”

Chunhua said in an astonished tone.

The path of Body Cultivation does not rely on the Spirit Root.

But during cultivation, one needs to endure endless pain.

And the consumption of resources is also much higher than other cultivators of the same stage.

Being a well-known third-generation disciple of the Daoist Immortal Sect, Lin Yuan certainly wouldn’t lack resources.

Yet, given his upbringing in luxury, the fact that he could endure the pain of Body Cultivation was surprising to many.

“A Golden Core Stage Body Cultivator, with robust blood and qi, a strong physique, and an unparalleled physical body, many female cultivators outside desire to have a Dao companion proficient in Body Cultivation…”

Qiuyue couldn’t help but say in a low voice.

“Stop fantasizing.” Chunhua glanced at Qiuyue, “Who is the Young Master? Even without a Spirit Root, he’s not someone you should be thinking about.”

“Sister Chunhua, I only revere the Young Master, I definitely don’t mean it that way…” Qiuyue quickly explained.

“Whatever it means, just be clear about it in your heart,” Chunhua shook her head.

Though they were sent to serve Jun Wuji with the readiness to offer themselves,

that would only be possible if Jun Wuji was willing. As for forcing it? Chunhua and Qiuyue certainly wouldn’t dare.

“But the Young Master has cultivated the Body Cultivation technique to the Golden Core Stage, which is about as far as it goes, the remaining transformation to Nascent Soul Stage Body Cultivation hasn’t been seen much in Central Divine Continent.”

Qiuyue spoke softly.

The path of Body Cultivation, though unmatched in combat power, is not cost-effective, requiring a tremendous amount of resources and not extending one’s life.

The most crucial point is that the breakthrough from Golden Core Stage to Nascent Soul Stage requires enduring extreme pain, which no cultivator has been able to withstand.

“You never know.”

“After all, who would have thought the Young Master would achieve such success in the path of Body Cultivation?”

“Maybe in the future, the Young Master will step into the Nascent Soul Stage Body Cultivation.”

Chunhua spoke up.

A Nascent Soul Stage Body Cultivator, even within the Daode Immortal Sect, is not considered weak, and across the lands of Central Divine Continent, that would make one a free and unpredictable elder.

…

“Body Cultivation has been cultivated up to the Divinity Transformation Stage and still no Physical Body Divine Ability was born?”

Back in the mountain loft, after Lin Yuan had finished ingesting the ‘Innate Purple Qi’, he shook his head slightly and thought.

“The Body Cultivation technique I am practicing is based on the seventy-three top-notch Body Cultivation techniques, blended and comprehended, could it be that the so-called Physical Body Divine Ability is really just a legend?”

Lin Yuan frowned.

“But even without birthing Physical Body Divine Ability, Body Cultivation has brought me a lot of benefits, in terms of combat power, a Body Cultivator at the Divinity Transformation Stage can almost sweep through others of the same stage…”

Lin Yuan thought to himself.

Over the years, Lin Yuan had intentionally displayed his talents in the path of Body Cultivation, and more recently, he openly demonstrated the strength of a Golden Core Stage Body Cultivator.

This was to ask his older brothers and sisters, as well as his parents, for more Cultivation Resources.

If Lin Yuan were an ordinary person, a sudden vast need for cultivation resources would likely attract attention from others.

But if Lin Yuan was immersed in the path of Body Cultivation…

It’s well known that the practice of Body Cultivation consumes a far greater amount of resources compared to other cultivators of the same stage.

Moreover, with his status as a third-generation immortal disciple, for a boundary breakthrough that only needed a single portion of resources, for safety, ten or a hundred portions would be required to prevent accidents.

And occasionally he’d be sent out to beg for resources.

Overall…

Now, besides reaching the Divinity Transformation Stage in Body Cultivation, Lin Yuan’s status in Martial Tao had also restored to the Fifth Rank Peak.

He was beginning a transformation to harmonize with the soul, and stepping into the Sixth Rank, returning to the peak, was just a matter of the near future.

…

Lin Yuan chose to publicly display his Body Cultivation talent, aside from securing resources,

It was more importantly, to cover up his own Martial Tao aura.

Martial Tao.

Unlike the Immortal Path.

Both belong to completely different cultivation systems.

Like the Demon Tao in the west, the Demonic Tao in the north, and the Ghost Path in the south.

As for the Daode Immortal Sect, whether it’s Martial Tao, Demonic Tao, or Ghost Path, all are considered heretical paths.

Once detected, they can be directly suppressed.

This is a conflict of the Great Dao, not about right or wrong, not about good or bad.

Take Jun Wuji for example, unable to cultivate as an immortal due to lacking a Spirit Root, but he could pursue the Ghost Path or practice Demonic Tao.

Either could circumvent the issue of lacking a Spirit Root.

But from beginning to end, whether it was Jun Wuji’s maternal grandfather or his parents, they would rather consider using ‘Nine Heavens Glazed Water’,

than ever think about letting Jun Wuji switch to practice the Ghost Path.

The Daoist Immortal Sect has dominated Central Divine Continent for tens of thousands of years, if it were known that one of their own disciples practiced the path of the Ghost or Demonic Tao, it’s likely that their ancestors would be so infuriated they’d come back to life.

Moreover, Jun Wuji himself never considered switching to practice the ways of the Ghost or Demonic Tao.

Disciples of the Daoist Immortal Sect are proud, always looking down on the paths of Ghost, Demon, and others, and even without a Spirit Root, Jun Wuji disdains walking a path other than that of the immortals.
