Comprehension Ability: Creating and teaching the Dao in various worlds

Chapter 88: Chapter 22: Thousands of Years Ago and Thousands of Years Later (Seeking First Subscription)

Above the clouds.

Lin Yuan faced thirty-five Divine Soldiers alone.

Compared to the towering Divine Soldiers that stood shoulder to shoulder with the mountains, Lin Yuan seemed exceptionally minuscule, like a speck of dust.

Yet, even under the terrifying pressure of the Divine Soldiers,

Lin Yuan still hovered in the air, without showing any signs of irregularity.

“Who is that?”

“He actually rushed up to the Divine Soldiers?”

...
“Is he seeking death!?”

Upon seeing this scene, the emperors of the Central Plains Thirty-Six Kingdoms all furrowed their brows.

Even when the Divine Soldiers from their side had just swallowed their soldiers, it had only caused them a moment of distress.

They almost didn’t care at all.

It wasn’t just the swallowing of thirty to fifty thousand soldiers; if all their soldiers were consumed, as long as they could completely crush the Defying Divine Society,

The emperors all felt it would be worth it.

For the royal families of the Thirty-Six Kingdoms, soldiers were like leeks, with a new batch able to quickly grow after one is harvested.

As long as their status could be maintained, everything else could be tolerated.

…

“It’s the master of the Defying Divine Society!”

“Is that the Emperor of the Greater Yan?”

“Indeed, the Greater Yan Dynasty has a significant relationship with the Defying Divine Society, perhaps even behind it.”

“The Flame Emperor… what does he want to do? Declare war on the Divine Soldiers?”

“But have you noticed? The Nation-Protecting Divine Weapon of the Greater Yan Dynasty… hasn’t appeared…”

…

Countless people looked up to the sky, including those within and outside the Five Peaks battlefield.

The decisive battle between the Central Plains Thirty-Six Kingdoms and the Defying Divine Society attracted the attention of every being in this world.

Such as some Hidden World Cultivators?

And even the consciousnesses within fragments of Divine Weapons.

The great battle of the Divine Soldiers eight thousand years ago resulted in sixty-four Divine Weapons being shattered, falling into the four corners of the world.

Some of the Divine Weapon fragments, unwilling to accept their defeat, became Evil Soldiers, stirring up trouble in the world upon reappearing.

Others, thoroughly disheartened, believed that the thirty-six Nation-Protecting Divine Weapons were invincible and thus remained in hiding.

And to most beings, the Defying Divine Society represented the losers of old, many Evil Soldiers.

But now, the appearance of the Flame Emperor undoubtedly surprised most beings.

Leaving aside whether Lin Yuan could contend with the thirty-five Divine Soldiers,

Merely his current stance, disregarding the pressure from the thirty-five Divine Soldiers,

Was enough to indicate that this Emperor of the Greater Yan had strength far beyond the limits of the Human Race of this world.

Keep in mind, even they, the Evil Soldiers,

Faced with the thirty-five Divine Soldiers that had already completed their transformation, also trembled with unease and wished they could burrow into holes to hide.

…

“Master… Can our master win?”

On the battlefield, the Splitting Heaven Axe and many other Evil Soldiers refined by Lin Yuan couldn’t help but wonder.

They had once felt Lin Yuan’s strength up close and it was indeed extremely powerful.

Equating him with a true Divine Weapon was not an overstatement.

But now, Lin Yuan was facing not just one Divine Weapon, but thirty-five of them, and they had taken that final step.

Especially the likes of the top four, who even eight thousand years ago were far stronger than the other Divine Weapons, let alone now?

…

Above the clouds.

Under the vast sky.

The thirty-five Divine Weapons were clearly taken aback.

Their colossal psychic fluctuations kept sweeping over Lin Yuan.

But what was strange was that all psychic fluctuations, upon approaching within three feet of him, were all devoured by some force.

It was as if Lin Yuan himself was a ‘black hole’, capable of absorbing everything that came near.

“Interesting?”

“Are you really of the Human Race?”

A knife-shaped Divine Weapon that seemed to be trodden upon by a real dragon emitted psychic waves, tinged with curiosity.

For ten thousand years in their eyes, the Human Race had always been food, so the sudden appearance of an enigma like him was indeed a curiosity.

“Regardless of whether you are of the Human Race, I can feel the vastness in you, like an ocean of Qi and blood… Swallowing you might allow me to advance another step…”

Another Divine Weapon emitted greedy psychic waves.

Boom!

A force of Divine Soldiers descended silently.

Lin Yuan looked on calmly, now just his gaze towards the thirty-five Divine Soldiers felt like observing some fundamental nature of the world.

“Since you’ve all arrived.”

“Come in, then.”

Lin Yuan raised his right hand.

The force from the Divine Soldiers dissipated into nothing.

Not just that.

A terrifying aura suddenly erupted.

The vast and expansive Five Peaks battlefield now burst forth with streams of aura, and a giant cage began to take form.

Ten years earlier, Lin Yuan, following the steps of Ancient Godly Beings, walked the world and entered the Fourth Rank in the first year.

By understanding the fundamental rules of this realm and reaching the Fourth Rank, Lin Yuan gained deeper insight into the world.

He also vaguely sensed that the Nation-Protecting Divine Weapons of the other thirty-five kingdoms were close to a breakthrough.

Lin Yuan had tried using his Fourth Rank strength to squat down and suppress those thirty-five Divine Weapons one by one.

But these Divine Weapons were cautious, and with Lin Yuan’s strength, while he could have quickly suppressed five or six of them, it would undoubtedly alert and drive away the rest.

In order to capture them all in one fell swoop, Lin Yuan deduced the great trends of the world and quietly maneuvered the war between the Defying Divine Society and the thirty-five kingdoms, setting their decisive battleground at the Five Peaks.

The Five Peaks battlefield was located at the central position of the Central Plains Thirty-Six Kingdoms, next to rivers and streams. Lin Yuan spent eight years traversing every corner of the Five Peaks battlefield, setting up nodes.

He transformed the entire Five Peaks battlefield into a kind of furnace,

Only waiting for the thirty-five Divine Weapons to gather here and consume the beings of both sides,

Then he could utilize the furnace to form, and thereafter—

Suppress the thirty-five Divine Weapons.

…

Boom, boom, boom.

The terrifying presence came from all directions. Lin Yuan had spent eight years of his life, forsaking cultivation and sudden enlightenment, placing all his energy on the Five Sacred Mountains Furnace.

At this moment, it suddenly erupted, and its might nearly reached the late Fourth Rank, its aura causing the thirty-five Divine Weapons to tremble.

“What is this?”

“This is bad, let’s get out of here.”

Upon witnessing this scene, the thirty-five Divine Weapons all began to quiver with spiritual fluctuations.

For ten thousand years, aside from that Ancient Godly Being, they had never feared anything, not even during the great battle of the Divine Weapons eight thousand years ago when they emerged as the victors.

But now.

Sensing the overwhelming presence from the entire battlefield of the Five Sacred Mountains, all the Divine Weapons were scared.

Hum!

The thirty-five Divine Weapons, without a second thought, scattered in all directions, attempting to flee.

…

On the ground.

All those who witnessed this scene were stunned.

They hadn’t yet recovered from the shift in the atmosphere of the Five Sacred Mountains battlefield.

Then they saw the thirty-five esteemed Divine Weapons flee in panic.

Everyone’s eyes widened, and it took a long while for them to regain their composure.

It turns out, even the exalted Divine Weapons that stood high in the eyes of all creatures had their day of flight.

“Impossible.”

“Divine Weapons are invincible.”

“How could they flee?”

In the rear of the thirty-six nations, the emperors of various dynasties were filled with disbelief.

They were all waiting to kneel and welcome the descent of the Divine Weapons, and now the Divine Weapons were fleeing?

If the Divine Weapons fled, what should they do?

“Thinking of leaving now?”

“It’s too late.”

A smile appeared on Lin Yuan’s face.

If it were just now when Lin Yuan had appeared,

the thirty-five Divine Weapons might have chosen to return to heaven and earth, possibly escaping before the Five Sacred Mountains Furnace completely sealed off the realm.

But in Lin Yuan’s deductions, this possibility was almost zero.

After all, returning to heaven and earth, for the Divine Weapons, was almost equivalent to being reforged.

Their consciousness and memories would be washed away by heaven and earth, which was only slightly better than complete obliteration.

How could these Divine Weapons, having just completed their metamorphosis and not yet enjoyed any benefits, choose such an extreme approach upon encountering an inscrutable person?

And just as Lin Yuan had predicted.

Even when sensing danger, not a single one of the thirty-five Divine Weapons chose to return to heaven and earth.

“Rise!”

Lin Yuan’s thoughts moved once again.

The vast Taiji Field quickly spread.

After advancing to the Fourth Rank, Lin Yuan’s Taiji Field gained a huge enhancement once again.

The path of Taiji is not limited to Taiyin and Taiyang; it is centered around Taiyin and Taiyang, encompassing all the Dao of the world.

This is also why Lin Yuan could continue to improve by comprehending the essence of the rules within other Evil Soldiers.

“Break!”

Among the thirty-five Divine Weapons, the tower-shaped one suddenly halted.

Its red light flared up as if a great sun burst forth all its light and heat in an instant.

The void boiled over, and the sky for hundreds of miles seemed to be boiled all at once, with a misty aura enveloping the entire battlefield of the Five Sacred Mountains like clouds.

The temperature within hundreds of miles rose, and even for the Blood Refinement Martial Saint, the air they breathed through their nostrils seemed to have turned into burning coal, unbearably hot!

The terrifying heat exploded, and in an instant, it shattered a portion of the furnace’s shape enveloping it within several miles.

“Water.”

Seeing this, Lin Yuan reached out again, and the river water outside the Five Sacred Mountains battlefield was immediately drawn forth.

Great amounts of river water evaporated, quickly blocking the intense heat from the tower-shaped Divine Weapon.

“This is bad…”

Seeing this, the tower-shaped Divine Weapon became heavy with thought.

Because at this moment, the aura from countless nodes within the Five Sacred Mountains battlefield all came together.

The endless interplay of light and shadow, Qi, and the power of heaven and earth outlined a Taiji Furnace that displayed black and white colors.

It formed with a thunderous rumble.

The thirty-five Divine Weapons, without any exceptions.

Were all engulfed within the Taiji Furnace.

Suspended below the vast sky, the Taiji Furnace towered a hundred miles high, spanning like a colossal entity.

Roaring sounds continued to emerge from within the furnace, indicating that the thirty-five Divine Weapons had not given up and were still struggling.

But with time, this struggle grew increasingly weaker.

“The Thirty-Six Divine Weapons, all captured in my pot.”

Lin Yuan stepped out and sat atop the furnace.

Then a spear-shaped Divine Weapon engraved with the sun and moon flew out, willingly entering the furnace.

All the Thirty-Six Divine Weapons emerged from heaven and earth. To facilitate comprehension, Lin Yuan unhesitatingly placed the Sun and Moon Spear inside as well.

“Next is suppression and enlightenment.”

Lin Yuan sat down cross-legged, calming his mind.

…

“The Divine Weapons have been suppressed?”

On the ground, everyone who witnessed this scene, whether human or the consciousness of Evil Soldiers, were all struck by an overwhelming shock.

…

Ten thousand years ago.

An Ancient Godly Being walked the world, sacrificing mountains and rivers, melting the four seas, forging a hundred weapons. Majestically for ten thousand years, all creatures bowed their heads.

…

Ten thousand years later.

A young Emperor sat high in the heavens, cooking the rivers, refining the Five Sacred Mountains, subduing the thirty-six weapons. With his resplendent heavenly might, all spirits looked up in reverence.
