Comprehension Ability: Creating and teaching the Dao in various worlds

Chapter 66: Chapter 2 The Third Shuttle

“It’s unbearable.”

At this moment, Bingyan felt somewhat withdrawn.

He felt as if the Taiji Field around him was a spider web, and he was a bug trapped within it.

Every move he made was severely constrained.

After the initial burst, Lin Yuan had easily blocked his attack.

Bingyan realized he no longer had any chance of victory.

The following time seemed exceedingly lengthy.

...
Under the coverage of the Taiji Field, Bingyan was even unable to call out ‘I give up.’

He could only be mercilessly ‘toyed with’ by Lin Yuan for over half an hour before the battle ended.

Meanwhile.

The surrounding audience let out an earth-shaking cheer.

Before the match, a majority of the audience believed that Bingyan had better odds of winning.

After all, Third Rank against Second Layer, even if the latter had an impressive record of holding off a Third Rank for half an hour.

But as the match began, as Lin Yuan demonstrated his Third-Rank strength, the atmosphere of the match reached its peak.

Initially, it was Third Rank against Second Layer, so Lin Yuan didn’t stand much of a chance.

Now it was Third Rank against Third Rank.

The gap between the two was gone.

Especially during the battle, Lin Yuan completely suppressed Bingyan using the Taiji Field.

This caused countless spectators to get caught up in the excitement.

A Third-Rank Evolver is a ‘City Destroyer Grade’ existence, able to destroy a city in no time if unleashed.

Now, having two Third-Rank Evolvers clashing before them was an unparalleled experience.

“Lin Yuan!”

“Lin Yuan is invincible!”

“Lin Yuan, can you come torment me?”

…

Among countless cheers, Lin Yuan’s figure disappeared.

He returned to the resting area.

“Phew.”

Lin Yuan breathed out gently.

“Ice attributes power…”

Countless insights flickered in Lin Yuan’s mind.

In the exchange with Bingyan, his opponent freely displayed a myriad of ice-based techniques.

To other Evolvers, these would be terrifying trump moves.

But in Lin Yuan’s heart, they were revelations related to this power.

“The ice of all things freezes everything…”

Lin Yuan opened his eyes, deep in thought.

Second-Rank ice-type Evolvers merely manifested basic uses of ice power.

Third-Rank ice-type Evolvers, however, could slightly delve deeper into the essence of ice.

“Not bad, not bad.”

Lin Yuan nodded slightly.

Half an hour of trading moves with Bingyan was quite beneficial for him.

It was comparable to the time he battled with a dream sequence Third Rank.

“But…”

Lin Yuan’s expression suddenly became solemn.

As he rose in the rankings of the arena.

Lin Yuan also felt a certain pressure.

In the battle with Bingyan, Lin Yuan had to reveal his Third-Rank strength.

Though he hadn’t played all his cards, Bingyan had forced Lin Yuan to consider him seriously.

Bingyan was already tough enough, what about the higher ranked Third-Rank Evolvers?

Keep in mind, among the nineteen Third-Rank Evolvers, Bingyan’s strength wasn’t even at the forefront.

Could Lin Yuan still afford to be as easy-going if he faced one of the top-ranked Third-Rank Evolvers?

…

Just as Lin Yuan was feeling the pressure.

“Hmm?”

A flicker passed through Lin Yuan’s mind.

His consciousness entirely plunged into the depths of his mind.

There, a majestic gate stood.

At this moment, the gate’s peripheral area was completely illuminated.

“Can I travel now?”

Lin Yuan’s thoughts wandered.

Unnoticed, more than ten months had passed since his second interdimensional travel ended.

The Door to the Myriad Realms, having accumulated energy over this period, could now facilitate Lin Yuan’s third journey.

“I wonder what kind of world will this journey take me to?”

With a thought, Lin Yuan began to extend a wisp of consciousness toward the depths of the Door to the Myriad Realms.

The prior two travels involved investing his entire consciousness.

But this time, Lin Yuan tried to invest only a wisp of consciousness.

This thread of consciousness only possessed one ten-thousandth of Lin Yuan’s total mental capacity.

Even if he were to suffer a devastating blow, it would hardly affect Lin Yuan, who could recover in just an hour or two.

Buzz!!

As Lin Yuan’s thread of consciousness probed deeper.

In a trance, Lin Yuan seemed to see a vast world.

This grand world was magnificent and at a fleeting glance, Lin Yuan saw a weapon as large as a mountain in shadow form.

“Is that… a weapon?”

Lin Yuan’s expression was one of astonishment, and then his consciousness returned to his main body.

At the same time.

Lin Yuan also received some information about this journey through worlds.

[Dwell time: One hundred sixty years]

“That world, it’s a higher tier than the Dragon Tiger World. As for the flow of time… one hundred sixty years there, probably two to three days here in the Main World?”

Lin Yuan speculated in his mind.

This trial had prepared Lin Yuan somewhat.

At the very least, he wouldn’t be as clueless as he was during the first two teleportations.

“In half a day, I have another match.”

“After that, it’s the finals for the top ten, which will be held in half a month.”

Lin Yuan decided to teleport again in half a day.

This interval would not delay anything.

…

During the wait.

Lin Yuan wasn’t idle.

Instead, he went to watch the matches of other Evolvers.

First up was the one named the poison path Evolver.

This Evolver’s opponent was also a Third Rank.

But from the start of the match, the opponent’s face turned from green to purple.

Obviously, he had been poisoned severely.

Then, after more than ten minutes, his body completely rotted away.

During this time, the poison path Evolver only put up a symbolic defense.

Then watched as his opponent collapsed on the ground.

Next, Lin Yuan watched the match of the one known as ‘Thunder God’.

It was still a match between Third Rank Evolvers.

Thunder God controlled the thunder, and finally even transformed into thunder, directly crushing the Third Rank Evolver.

Thunder God’s match was basically without suspense; no matter how potent the opponent, the moment Thunder God chose to embody thunder, the match was over.

Lastly, Lin Yuan watched the match of the one known as ‘Fang Qing’.

Fang Qing’s opponent was not weak, ranking near the top among Third Rank Evolvers, just behind Thunder God.

However, even this potent Third Rank Evolver couldn’t withstand five moves against Fang Qing.

At the fifth move, a majestic figure suddenly appeared behind Fang Qing, its ancient and vast aura pervading the arena. The opponent’s spirit was shaken, and he was directly smashed into a pulp by the imposing figure.

“Ancient God evolutionary pathway…”

Lin Yuan exhaled softly. This pathway was extremely rare and was well-known not only in the Chikun Star Domain but also in surrounding star domains.

Images of the majestic figure behind Fang Qing emerged in Lin Yuan’s mind, leaving him feeling weighed down.

Truthfully, even if he deployed all his cards, Lin Yuan lacked any confidence in defeating Fang Qing.

After watching ‘Fang Qing’s’ match, Lin Yuan heard another piece of news.

An Evolver at the pinnacle of Second Layer broke through in bloodline during the match, stepping directly into Third Rank.

This top-tier Third Rank Evolver was a bloodline Evolver who was initially thought to have just an ordinary Third Rank bloodline.

But after the bloodline breakthrough, it was revealed that this Third Rank bloodline concealed a Sixth Rank lineage.

Sixth Rank lineage.

This was a lineage that belonged to offspring of Fallen Star-level beings.

With the bloodline awakening, this Evolver instantly became the most favored candidate for the championship.

Nearly pushing down ‘Ancient God’ evolutionary pathway ‘Fang Qing.’

…

Half a day later.

The match ended.

Returning to the resting area.

Lin Yuan sat cross-legged.

His expression conveyed solemnity.

The stage of the matches had reached a point where no Evolver was easy to contend with.

Thunder God had a unique constitution, able to transform into thunder, a talent unmatched.

Fang Qing practiced the ‘Ancient God’ evolution pathway, with a massive background and predecessors paving the way.

The Evolver whose bloodline reached Sixth Rank had ancestors who were Fallen Star-level Powerhouses, leaving behind a legacy sufficient for him to dominate among the Third Ranks.

Compared with them, Lin Yuan seemed rather inconspicuous, with an ordinary background and no notable lineage.

“On the path of evolution, background, resources, and lineage are indeed important, but not absolutely necessary.”

“I, Lin Yuan, even without any remarkable background, resources, or lineage can still rely on my efforts to achieve successes equal to anyone else’s in the future.”

Lin Yuan disconnected from the Virtual World, his body laying in the nourishment pod, eyes closed.

“Door to the Myriad Realms, allow me to travel through!”
