[Airlock: All effects caused by the weather are nullified]

Even the territories of Groudon’s land and Kyogre’s ocean were affected, not to mention a mere rainstorm.

Yesterday, Lin Feng had daydreamed about seeing Rayquaza and riding it for a flight.

But now, standing before the Legendary Pokémon, the only thought in his mind was: ”Good grief, who brought it here…”

Lin Feng’s gaze immediately shifted to Mew.

Here, apart from Mew transforming into Rayquaza yesterday, he couldn’t think of any other actions that could have drawn it.

He didn’t possess any items linked to Rayquaza either.

Rayquaza emitted no overt aura, yet its colossal body and the piercing yellow eyes within its black gaze sent a jolt of tension through every Pokémon in the garden.

The atmosphere thickened with an inexplicable tension.

Gardevoir quietly placed a hand on Lin Feng’s arm.

Finally, a curious voice cut through the silence.

”Yo-mew?”

Mew hovered into the sky, looking up at Rayquaza. It didn’t understand why everyone had gone silent, but it knew exactly why.

With justified confidence, it stared at Rayquaza. ”Yo-mew?” (What are you here for?)

Rayquaza: ”???”

The rhetorical question caught Rayquaza off guard. It had been about to question Mew for taking its form, but paused in confusion.

It quickly regained composure and used telepathy.

(Why did you assume my form?)

Rayquaza felt a sense of helplessness.

The little cat before it appeared tiny, but its authority was vast.

When the Creator God distributed authority, aside from the Creator’s own power, it could lend any other force including Rayquaza’s mastery of the skies.

Mew didn’t respond immediately. Instead, it pulled the stunned Jirachi close and flew up next to Rayquaza.

”Yo-mew~” (I just transformed because my friend wanted to watch!)

Rayquaza: ”???”

You transformed because it wanted to watch?

It had assumed something significant was happening, or that one of the two giants was causing trouble again.

Jirachi, now next to Rayquaza, was thrilled.

Its eyes shone with admiration. ”Jira,” (Are you really Rayquaza?)

Rayquaza finally looked at the star-like Pokémon, a hint of curiosity in its gaze.

It sensed something familiar about Jirachi, something similar to the energy of the meteors it normally consumed.

And somehow, it seemed more… appetizing.

As it considered whether to…

Jirachi suddenly flew closer, exclaiming excitedly: ”Jira!” (You’re amazing! You always drive away Groudon and Kyogre!)

Rayquaza paused. This small, fragrant creature impressed it.

It could talk!

”Jira!” (A thousand years ago, you saved Lin Feng…)

Jirachi couldn’t help but recount the tale from a millennium ago. ”Jira!” (Do you remember me? That was when I asked for your help.)

Rayquaza tilted its head, confused.

”Jira…” (Yes, a thousand years ago.) Jirachi waved its tiny arms, trying to evoke Rayquaza’s memory of that time.

(You appeared nearby, helping a human settlement, and drove off a flying Pokémon!)

Jirachi’s eyes sparkled as it spoke.

Rayquaza remained silent for a long moment, then shook its head.

Neither a thousand years ago nor now did it remember this Pokémon.

”Jira…” (Really, it was just a small human tribe, full of Caterpie!)

Jirachi’s voice grew urgent.

Rayquaza’s response was still silence.

To this sky-dwelling dragon, occasional trips to Earth were trivial. It had no reason to remember every insect it encountered.

Perhaps it had helped this tribe a thousand years ago. But over time, without a significant memory anchor, it wouldn’t retain the event.

”Jira…”

Jirachi’s hope dimmed slightly. It had wanted to hear about Lin Feng’s situation from the great Sky God.

But it quickly let go of its disappointment.

Lin Feng, watching below, shivered at the Pokémon conversation.

Especially when Mew and Jirachi flew to Rayquaza’s side.

Mew was probably safe.

But he worried about Jirachi.

As a Wish Pokémon, after waking from slumber, Jirachi could turn into stone.

It could also absorb energy from meteors.

And what did Rayquaza love to eat most?

Meteors!

The two energies sounded strikingly similar. Lin Feng had even prepared to offer a Wish Fruit as an exchange if Rayquaza made a move.

Fortunately, events didn’t unfold as he feared. Rayquaza appeared surprisingly understanding.

It scanned the garden, then settled its gaze on Mew.

It wanted to warn the little cat not to wield the power of the skies recklessly.

But it doubted that speaking would achieve anything.

So it turned its gaze to Lin Feng.

This human seemed familiar…

Lin Feng felt the intensity of the stare and tensed.

But he bravely greeted it. ”Ahaha… hello, Rayquaza?”

The greeting immediately made him want to smack himself.

What kind of greeting is that for a Legendary Pokémon?

Does ”hello” even make sense here?

Rayquaza didn’t care.

It telepathically inquired:

(I sense the aura of the World Tree within you. That is Mew’s home. Are you close to it?)

Lin Feng paused, then quickly nodded. ”Y-Yes…”

After all, they had shared countless meals together, and their bond had surpassed eighty.

Mew flew down to Lin Feng’s side.

Rayquaza nodded in approval:

(Very well. Take good care of it…)

”Yo-mew?”

But Mew ignored that remark. It flew onto Lin Feng’s shoulder, eyes sparkling. ”Yo-mew~!” (No way! Come on, Lin Feng, let’s go on its head! Didn’t you say you wanted to ride it?)

Lin Feng’s expression changed drastically.

This is… something that can be said openly?

Rayquaza: ”???”
