I Have the Alchemy Emperor in My Head

Chapter 389: I’m Completely Convinced

The next day, Chu Yunfan finally understood what Jeang Yuanbin meant by special training. He had not even been at the university for a few days before Jeang Yuabin brought him out into the wilderness.

From the top of a vast and boundless mountain range, one could see mountains and ravines in all directions. On this mountain range, huge trees ranging over 20 feet wide and 300 feet tall rose up from the ground, their leaves blocking out the skies above.

A completely black fighter jet hovered above this mountain range. It was about 30 feet long and more than 10 feet wide. The streamlined jet looked like something out of a sci-fi film. And in the fighter jet were six people—Jeang Yuanbin and his students.

“Sir, why haven’t I seen this fighter jet before? Is this a newly commissioned jet by the Army?” Inside the jet, Ke Rui, who was wearing white armor, asked curiously.

Jeang Yuanbin had brought them here early this morning. They boarded the fighter jet and flew to this mountain range.

“This is the latest model fighter jet. It’s called the Black Hawk. At present, this jet isn’t available to the masses. Not even the military has it. Only a few elite special forces possess this model. You won’t be able to see it outside of Federation University because this is the latest model developed by Federation University’s Research Department. Only the people within the university can exchange for it. News of this jet has yet to reach the ears of the public. In fact, those fighter jets, armors, battleships, and whatnot that you’ve seen outside are actually at least ten years behind,” Jeang Yuanbin said.

Chu Yunfan could tell from Jeang Yuanbin’s words that Federation University had its own weapons design department, and they had the ability to produce weapons. Fighter jets such as this Black Hawk were clearly at least one generation stronger than the popular ones on the market.

Federation University probably had quite a number of companies under them. For Federation University to have the means to support so many students and provide them with the highest quality training resources, they surely had an endless supply of money on hand. It was unrealistic for the university to rely on government funding alone. After all, they were just one of the many universities. How could Federation University receive more funding than any other university? It just was not feasible.

Federation University surely had quite a few large companies that specialized in serving it. This was something that Chu Yunfan had long known, but he never thought that the university would dabble in the design of weapons. On top of that, the high-quality weapons that they had designed could not only be exchanged for using points but they could also be sold to the most elite special forces within the military.

This was something that only the most top-tier military weapon corporations could do.

The strength of Federation University was absolutely unfathomable.

“This jet must be very valuable,” Sha Peng said as he looked around, his eyes shining. On the way to the mountain range, they saw the power this fighter jet had with their own eyes. It had easily blasted an Acquired flying monster into pieces. “I wonder when I’ll be able to afford such a jet.”

“Five billion points will do,” Jeang Yuanbin said calmly.

Chu Yunfan and the rest were speechless. Last night, they had come to understand that one point in Federation University was equivalent to one yuan in the outside world. In other words, this fighter jet was worth five billion yuan. It was no wonder that even with the overbearing wealth of the Federation, they could not afford to popularize this fighter jet and could only supply it to their most elite special forces.

“Sir, if this Black Hawk fighter jet went all out, would it be able to defeat Innate monsters?” Ruan Yingyu asked.

“Yes, the purpose of this Black Hawk fighter jet is to fight against Innate flying monsters. Although humans have developed heavy-duty mechas that can fight flying monsters, many of them are too fast for the mechas to keep up with. Therefore, these fighter jets are still needed. To me, this fighter jet is my mobile base when I head into the wilderness. It has proved very useful. It can also be operated via a smart computer. Calling on it is very convenient,” Jeang Yuanbin explained.

After saying that, Jeang Yuanbin picked up a couple of inner armors from the side and handed them to Chu Yunfan and the others. He said, “These are weighted suits. Put them on. From here on, you aren’t allowed to take it off, even when you head into the shower.”

“What? Weighted suits?” Everyone looked at Jeang Yuanbin incredulously. They were shocked by Jeang Yuanbin’s generosity. Chu Yunfan had a weighted suit on him thus knew very well the high price of such an object.

Sha Peng and the others put the suits on and immediately felt their entire bodies become much heavier.

“I’ve already set them up for you. The gravity has been increased by 0.5 times. In the future, you have to wear it no matter what you do. You can’t take them off,” Jeang Yuanbin said, “We will gradually increase the gravity setting. When the time comes, we will increase it to one-fold.”

“What? One-fold gravity?”

Sha Peng and the others felt dumbfounded. They were not stupid. One-fold gravity was not as simple as carrying their own weight. The 0.5-fold gravity already made it difficult for them to walk. They had to mobilize their True Energy at all times everywhere throughout their body to resist the additional gravity.

The average person would start with 0.1 times the gravity when first starting out with a weighted suit. And they were starting with 0.5 times the gravity.

If they increased the gravity to one-fold, it would be very difficult for them to even breathe. If they made any large movement, they would surely be panting and would soon be exhausted.

“Why aren’t you putting it on?” Jeang Yuanbin asked as he looked at Chu Yunfan.

“I already have one, sir. I don’t need it,” Chu Yunfan handed the weighted suit back to Jeang Yuanbin.

“Oh?” Jeang Yuanbin said, “Then what gravity setting are you on?”

“Double gravity,” Chu Yunfan said.

“What?! Double?!” Sha Peng and the others almost jumped. They already found it difficult to walk with 0.5 times gravity, but Chu Yunfan had double gravity on his back.

They had not been able to tell at all.

“So, when you fought with us before, you were doing it at double gravity?” Sha Peng asked in disbelief.

“Yes.” Chu Yunfan nodded.

“You win. Captain Chu, I’m completely convinced!” Ke Rui had a sincere expression. Even the slightest movement with double gravity would surely make them gasp for breath. Yet Chu Yunfan had managed to beat the four of them to the ground all by himself while bearing double gravity.

Even though Ke Rui was a proud and arrogant person, he looked completely convinced at this moment.

Meanwhile, Sha Peng, Ji Shiqing, and Ruan Yingyu looked as pale as ghosts. They could not tell that Chu Yunfan was bearing double gravity.
