I Have the Alchemy Emperor in My Head

Chapter 363: Registration

Chu Yunfan walked through the crowded airport lobby. Halfway across, he saw a beautiful figure appear in front of him.

“Chu Yunfan!”

Chu Yunfan took a closer look. Who else could it be but Bai Ling’er? She was wearing a t-shirt that fell just past her bottom and a pair of long pants that accentuated her slender legs. She also donned a blue cap on her head which made her getup look very hip hop.

Bai Ling’er held a small suitcase in her hand and a small cartoon backpack was slung over her back.

“D*mn, why am I running into you here?” Chu Yunfan was a little lost for words.

“Why? Are you unhappy to see me? My elder asked you to take care of me, so he asked me to wait for you here. Otherwise, do you think you would ‘coincidentally’ run into me here? Do you think you’re acting in a telenovela?” Bai Ling’er said bluntly. She then slid the suitcase toward Chu Yunfan. “I’ll give you a chance to be useful. Give me a hand with the suitcase.”

Chu Yunfan said, “Do you think I’m stupid?”

“Chu Yunfan, you’re not satisfied? Don’t know how many people are willing to give me a hand, but I didn’t even give them a chance?” Bai Ling’er said.

“Then find these willing people you’ve mentioned.” Chu Yunfan turned around and walked away. Why did he run into Bai Ling’er on his first day at Federation University? No matter how he looked at it, it was not going well.

“Sigh, don’t you even have a shred of chivalry?” Bai Ling’er picked up her suitcase and chased after Chu Yunfan. Although she was young, she was still a girl. But the girls of the Kunlun Era and the girls of the Common Era were creatures from different eras. The girls of the Kunlun Era possessed cultivation bases. Picking up something that weighed tens of pounds to even hundreds of pounds was as easy as tossing a toy in the air.

And although Bai Ling’er was about the same age as Chu Qingxuan, she was much taller than Chu Qingxuan. She was at least 5’5″. It would not be difficult for her to reach 5’7″ in a few years.

The people of Kunlun were generally taller. Girls were generally more than 5’5″, and boys were generally more than 6 feet tall.

“What is chivalry? Can I eat it?” Chu Yunfan said as he glanced back at Bai Ling’er.

“Why you... Forget it. I knew you’d take this attitude,” Bai Ling’er huffed. She did not really care because this small luggage was not a big problem at all.

“Why didn’t you bring any luggage? Did you already have them shipped over?” Bai Ling’er said. She had only brought a small piece of luggage with her. Of course, this was not all she had, but she had got a shipping company to ship the rest of her items to the dormitory.

“Yeah.” Chu Yunfan nodded, but this was not the truth. His luggage was in the Mountain River Diagram, so he had no need for a shipping company.

“Chu Yunfan, what do you think college life will be like? I don’t have any experience,” Bai Ling’er asked.

“What a coincidence! I don’t have any experience either!” Chu Yunfan said offhandedly.

“I don’t have any high school experience either,” Bai Ling’er said after a brief pause, “I’ve only ever been in school for a few days. I was mostly homeschooled.”

Chu Yunfan saw Bai Ling’er’s sunny disposition suddenly dim and could not bear it. Bai Ling’er’s halo of a genius girl had not been obtained without sacrifices. Bai Hong had mentioned to him that because he had tutored Bai Ling’er since she was young. Bai Ling’er had not spent much time in school, thus had very few friends, and was often alone.

“All right, your elder has already arranged everything for you. Don’t worry. Just follow the plan,” Chu Yunfan said, “College isn’t as scary as you think. Everyone will be of the same age group. There won’t be a problem.”

“You’re right.” Bai Ling’er nodded, a bright smile appearing on her face. Although she was a special admission and was a few years younger than the other students, there was not much difference really.

After this episode, Chu Yunfan did not mind having someone follow him around.

After leaving the airport, Chu Yunfan and Bai Ling’er walked past groups of students. Huge banners had been hung up, corresponding to the different departments.

Fortunately, the alchemy department was not a small department. Soon, the two of them found the person who had been instructed to meet with them. She was a sophomore. She was average-looking but was extremely tall and attractive.

She was obviously a liberal arts student as her cultivation level was only at the Energy Refinement Stage. But amongst liberal arts students, she was already considered pretty high-leveled as they usually did not care for such things.

“Are you the two new students?” The sophomore glanced at Chu Yunfan, then at Bai Ling’er with suspicion in her eyes. This was because Chu Yunfan was all right, but Bai Ling’er, although very tall, the childish look on her face could not be concealed.

“Yes, yes. I’m a member of this year’s martial arts class. She’s a special admission student, so she’s a little younger,” Chu Yunfan said. He knew what this senior was suspecting.

After hearing this, the sophomore did not look down on Bai Ling’er. Instead, she became serious as she looked at the two of them.

This sophomore was a liberal arts student. Although science and martial arts were both important in this day and age, she knew that there was a difference. The students who were admitted into the martial arts class were terrifying. The difficulty for them to enter Federation University was even higher than the liberal arts students.

The liberal arts students only needed to answer the questions in the classroom. In comparison, the martial arts students had to go through life and death before they even had a chance to enter Federation University.

That was normal though. After all, there were tens of thousands of martial arts students flooding into Federation University every year. The one who truly shocked the sophomore was Bai Ling’er. She was only in her mid-teens and had been specially recruited into Federation University. This in itself was extraordinary.

It was extremely difficult to enter Federation University. There were close to a hundred thousand people admitted to the university every year, but special admissions made up only a hundred of these people. One could only imagine the proportion of this.

Any student who was specially recruited would either be extremely talented or possessed an extremely powerful background. The greatest possibility was that they had both astonishing talent and an astonishing background.

Even if they did not have a background, those who were specially recruited would have been selected by top-notch instructors. In this way, even if they did not have a background, they still had a powerful backer.

Therefore, special admission students were usually the type that the students of the university were most unwilling to provoke.

“I see. Welcome to Federation University. I’m your second-year senior. My name is Zhang Yan. If you have any problems in the future, you can just let me know.”
