Chapter 396: Chapter 396 Four Great Aristocratic Families_1

”It’s Wan, the Wan Family!”

Wang Kangchen was already in such pain that he was somewhat bewildered. Asked by Jiang Chen, he stuttered out a response.

”The Wan Family? Wan Feng’s family?” Jiang Chen was slightly startled, his eyes narrowing, cold light shooting from them as he slightly raised the corners of his mouth, ”I was wondering why the Wan Family has been so quiet; turns out they were planning to start with Yi Chen!”

Having understood the situation, Jiang Chen didn’t want to waste any more time. He picked up the contract he had brought, made some changes, and threw the pen directly in front of Wang Kangchen, ”President Wang, we came to acquire Kangchen with sincerity, but you deliberately made things difficult. Now, I won’t offer five billion. One billion to acquire Kangchen!”

Wang Kangchen suddenly snapped to attention, looking at Jiang Chen with eyes full of unwillingness, ”Mr. Jiang, you...”

Bang!

Crack!

Yan Hu’s foot ferociously kicked into Wang Kangchen’s chest, and the sound of bone breaking resounded once again.

”Ah!”

Spurt!

Wang Kangchen let out a miserable scream, spitting out a mouthful of fresh blood, his face pale and full of regret, ”I’ll sign, I’ll sign!”

With his only remaining intact right hand, he finished signing his name. Wang Kangchen lay on the ground, face defeated, filled with remorse and hatred for the Four Great Aristocratic Families. If it weren’t for their instigation, he would not have ended up in such a state!

Xuan Long stepped forward, took the contract, and passed it to Jiang Chen. Jiang Chen glanced at it, stood up, and walked towards the conference room door.

Bang!

Crack!

Xuan Long gave Yan Hu a look, following Jiang Chen. Yan Hu nodded and also walked towards Jiang Chen. But as he walked, he appeared to unintentionally kick Wang Kangchen’s right hand at the wrist.

With the sound of bone breaking, Wang Kangchen blissfully passed out.

Jiang Chen turned his head at the noise, chuckled, and shook his head. He opened the door of the conference room and stepped out.

”Young Master, let’s just storm their doors, what kind of Four Great Aristocratic Families, even with the Wan Family, they’re nothing compared to a finger of the Jiang Family. Let’s just flip them over!” Yan Hu suggested to Jiang Chen as they left Kangcheng Group.

Jiang Chen gave Yan Hu a glance, ”You really are a brute. But I like it! However, there’s no rush for this matter. We start clearing them from the edge. Weren’t those two men and women today from the lapdog families of the Four Great Aristocratic Families? We’ll start with them!”

”Young Master, please give your orders!” Xuan Long spoke in a deep voice.

”Have someone tell their families to come see me. I will teach them how they should educate their children!” Jiang Chen said indifferently.

Xuan Long bowed and responded, ”Yes.”

He beckoned to the side, and a man in a tailored suit ran over. Xuan Long gave him instructions.

The three of them got in the car and hurried back to Yi Chen Investment.

...

The next day, Dingjing’s Zhu Family.

After receiving Jiang Chen’s message, Zhao Chengjiang, the head of the Zhao Family, went to the Zhu Family and sought out the head of the Zhu Family, Zhu Lianming.

”Lianming, my brother, that kid Jiang Chen has sent me a message, have you received it?” Zhao Chengjiang looked up at Zhu Lianming.

Zhu Lianming sneered, ”Received, this brat actually wants me to meet with him? He really thinks he’s something special! What nerve! It’s perfect, the Four Great Aristocratic Families want to deal with him, so we’ll go and teach the kid a lesson, vent for our children, and by the way show our faces to the Four Great Families.”

”Good, if we teach Jiang Chen a lesson, the Four Great Families will certainly be overjoyed, and who knows, they might even increase their support for our two families!” Zhao Chengjiang said with a sly smile on his face.

”Exactly!” Zhu Lianming nodded and said contemptuously, ”Just a greenhorn brat, yet he dares to be so arrogant. In front of the Four Great Aristocratic Families and us, he’s less than nothing.”

Speaking of which, Zhu Lianming’s eyes revealed a greedy gleam, ”Once the Four Great Families take down Yi Chen, we’re sure to get a cut of that ten billion in funds. How much we’ll get will depend on our performance this time!”

...

On the unnamed mountain in the West Suburb of Dingjing.

Here stood an estate that occupied the entire mountaintop, belonging to the Fang Family.

This was the home of one of the Four Great Aristocrat Families of Dingjing.

The Four Great Aristocratic Families of Dingjing had existed since the founding of the Flame Dragon Kingdom. Despite the many years and the rise of the three juggernauts and business tycoons like Wang Dingguo, the status of the Four Great Families remained unshaken!

Being old-established means something; they’re not the sort of thing that any upstart can easily surpass!

And this was why the heads of the Four Great Families have never taken Yi Chen Investment seriously.

In the Fang Family estate’s drawing room.

At this moment, four middle-aged men were sitting opposite each other, discussing something in hushed voices.

The man in the north seat, arrogant and slightly corpulent, sat with an overbearing air about him. He was Fang Zhengshan, the current Family Head of the Fang Family.

The man from the east had a pale complexion with bloodshot eyes, his body bloated, looking like he’d been hollowed out by drink and pleasures of the flesh. This man was Zhou Long, the Family Head of the Zhou Family. The Zhou Family specialized in the entertainment industry, and Zhou Long, a bigwig in the business, indulged in revelry night after night.

The man sitting in the west, wearing gold-rimmed glasses, had the appearance of a learned scholar. Sitting there quietly, as if the discussion had nothing to do with him, was Lin Zhenggang, the Family Head of the Lin Family. Starting from finance, from the initial ticket shops to the present-day financial companies, the Lin Family had always been active in this sector, known as one of Dingjing’s financial magnates.

The man in the southern seat looked gloomy, with a chilling aura all around him; it was Yue Tianming, the Family Head of the Yue Family, who also had connections with Kangchen Group.

”Gentlemen, that Jiang Chen is truly arrogant, fully aware that it was us who had Kangchen trip him up, yet he broke all four of Wang Kangchen’s limbs, snapped seven of his ribs and even forced him to sign the acquisition contract. That’s just despicable!” Yue Tianming started angrily.

”This kid really thinks he’s a fierce dragon, huh!” Zhou Long said with a dark smile. ”So disrespectful of the rules. Should we call the police, maybe? Have the officers trouble him a bit, sicken him!”

Fang Zhengshan shook his head slightly, ”It’s no use, he can just pin it on someone else easily. You’ve done this before too, and besides, the contract has already been signed; the acquisition is complete. There’s not much we can do about him on that front!”

”No, we can’t let it go just like that. We have to sort him out!” Yue Tianming said with a cold laugh, ”A mere Jiang Chen, a nobody who’s suddenly emerged, now dares to mess with the power of the Four Great Aristocratic Families. We absolutely can’t let this slide!”

Fang Zhengshan’s eyes flicked, Yi Chen was only a newly established company, but had ten billion in funds. If he could take it down for his own family, the rewards would be immense.

His eyes shining, Fang Zhengshan spoke lightly, ”There’s no need for all of us to make a move against a Jiang Chen, leave it to me.”

Yue Tianming and the others paused and exchanged glances, saying nothing.

They understood the huge benefits of taking down Yi Chen Investment, but was it really that easy to achieve? With ten billion in funds, they must have some capital. Whether they had any significant backing was something they had not fully investigated. Since Fang Zhengshan volunteered to deal with Yi Chen Investment himself, they were happy to see what tricks Yi Chen Investment had up its sleeve. If Yi Chen Investment really had a strong backer, letting Fang Zhengshan take the lead was a good idea.

Thus, the other three families all agreed one by one.
