Chapter 395: Chapter 395: Extortion? Kill You!_1

Watching the two kneeling before him submissively, Jiang Chen cracked a slight smile.

This was exactly the outcome he desired.

It was clear that, due to their formidable strength, Xuan Long and his companion had grown somewhat arrogant and conceited. The intentional provocation earlier was meant to truly subdue them; only through this could he ensure they would truly serve him.

Butler Lu chuckled softly and nodded. This scene was also what he had anticipated. If Jiang Chen had not been able to subdue the two, then even if they followed Jiang Chen’s orders, unnecessary friction would have been inevitable.

”Young Master, I’ll take my leave first!” Butler Lu spoke softly.

Jiang Chen nodded: ”Alright!”

After Butler Lu left in his car, Jiang Chen returned to Kangcheng Group with Xuan Long and the other.

But when Jiang Chen and his party arrived at Kangcheng Group, the reception they received could only be described as shabby; they had to wait in the visitor’s lounge for ages before being led to the meeting room. As soon as Jiang Chen placed the contract on the table and before he had a chance to speak, the party opposite threw a new contract at them,

”You must be Boss Jiang, right? The previous contract is void. This new one is what counts now,” said Wang Kangchen, chairman of Kangcheng Group, arrogantly.

”A new contract?”

Jiang Chen was taken aback, briefly skimmed through it, and a glimmer of frost flashed in his eyes.

”Five billion?” Jiang Chen looked up and asked with a cold laugh, ”If I remember correctly, the previous contract had the acquisition at only five hundred million.”

”That’s right. But the price has gone up!” Wang Kangchen sneered haughtily, ”The price is now five billion, not a penny less!”

Jiang Chen’s expression darkened completely; the opposite was shamelessly opening their mouth wide, increasing the price tenfold!

Since there was no sincerity, there was no point in buying.

”If President Wang says so, then it looks like business can’t be done. We’re not buying. Return our deposit,” Jiang Chen suppressed the anger in his heart.

Wang Kangchen looked at Jiang Chen with an exaggerated expression: ”Ha, the deposit? The deposit won’t be returned. You’re the one backing out of the purchase, it has nothing to do with us!”

”Are you deliberately provoking Yi Chen?” Jiang Chen’s face turned utterly cold.

Wang Kangchen’s face was full of mockery: ”So what if I’m deliberately provoking you? What can you do about it? Sure, Yi Chen Company has a hundred billion in funds, but here in Dingjing, you’re just a worm. Best coil up!”

A cold glint flashed in Jiang Chen’s eyes, and the corners of his mouth curved into a cold smile.

”Yan Hu, lock the door.” Before Jiang Chen could speak, Xuan Long snorted.

A smirk played on Yan Hu’s lips as he indifferently locked the meeting room door.

Jiang Chen raised an eyebrow, glanced at Xuan Long and his companion, and smiled slightly. These two guys seemed to be quite keen. He watched to see how they would handle the situation.

”What are you doing? Why lock the door?” Wang Kangchen’s complexion changed as he frowned at Xuan Long.

Xuan Long sneered, ”To lock the door is, of course, to beat the dog!”

Wang Kangchen was stunned for a moment, his face paling as he looked at Xuan Long and Yan Hu’s sturdy figures. He spoke with slight panic, ”What are you trying to do? This is my company. Do you dare lay a hand on me? Do you even think about walking out of my company’s doors?”

”Hmph! So what if it’s your company? Since you’ve offended our Young Master, you’re going to pay the price!” Xuan Long spoke coldly, looking up at Yan Hu, ”Shall I do it, or will you?”

”I will!” Yan Hu answered with a cold smile, striding towards Wang Kangchen.

”What are you trying to do?” Wang Kangchen’s secretary stood up and yelled, trying to put on a show.

Thump!

A muffled sound, as Yan Hu kicked Wang Kangchen’s secretary aside, fixing Wang Kangchen with a direct and cold stare: ”Do you know? You’ve messed with someone you shouldn’t have!”

”How dare you...”

Thump!

As Wang Kangchen’s face changed and he was about to speak, Yan Hu’s foot slammed into his chest, flipping him onto the ground.

”You dare to raise a hand? You...” Wang Kangchen fell to the ground, his face flushed with panic as he glanced at Yan Hu and then turned to Jiang Chen, his voice fierce but tinged with fear as he barked, ”Jiang Chen, Dingjing isn’t a place where Yi Chen Company can do whatever it pleases. You... Ah!”

Bang!

Crack!

A cold light flashed in Yan Hu’s eyes; he delivered a kick to Wang Kangchen’s leg, followed by a crisp sound of bone shattering, prompting Wang Kangchen to cry out in agony, his face instantly turning deathly pale.

Bang!

Crack!

”Ah...”

Bang!

...

Yan Hu didn’t waste any more words. With three successive kicks, he broke both of Wang Kangchen’s arms and legs!

Jiang Chen was startled, a hint of surprise and admiration flashing through his eyes. Not bad, quite ruthless!

”You, you, you... I’ll talk, I’ll tell you everything!” Wang Kangchen cried out in panic.

A sneer appeared on Xuan Long’s face. He turned to Jiang Chen and was briefly taken aback, murmuring to himself, The Young Master has noticed it too?

At that moment, Jiang Chen also had a cold smirk on his face. He had long noticed that although Kangcheng Group’s attitude had not been very clear in the past, it had never been so arrogantly domineering. Today’s behavior clearly indicated that they had a powerful backer and were being instructed by someone else.

”Talk? Talk about what? Did I ask you anything? Keep beating him!” Jiang Chen said coldly.

Yan Hu laughed heartily, ”Young Master, I apologize for what I said earlier. I like your style, haha!”

Bang!

Crack!

Bang!

Crack!

...

Muffled thuds and the sounds of bones breaking filled the air again, while the secretary lying nearby on the ground kept his eyes tightly shut, pretending to have passed out, but his trembling body betrayed him!

”Ah! I’ll talk... I’ll say whatever... Ah!”

Wang Kangchen’s screams reverberated through the conference room.

Jiang Chen glanced at Wang Kangchen’s undamaged right arm and couldn’t help but look at Yan Hu, noticing that the seemingly rough man also had an attentive side.

”How do you feel, President Wang? That was just the mildest dish of the eighteen-course meal. Would you like to taste the other dishes?” Yan Hu said teasingly, having shattered all the bones in Wang Kangchen’s arms and legs except for the right arm.

”No, no, no more! No more! I’ll talk, I’ll tell you everything!” Wang Kangchen’s face was as white as a sheet, his untouched right hand flailing in panic.

”Alright, now you can talk!” Jiang Chen waved his hand dismissively, speaking indifferently.

Yan Hu stepped aside, staring intently at Wang Kangchen.

”Yes, yes, I’ll talk. It’s...” Wang Kangchen nodded his head repeatedly.

Through Wang Kangchen’s account, Jiang Chen finally understood who his enemy really was.

Yi Chen’s investment in Dingjing caused a stir in the business world there and also aroused some people’s jealousy,

The four old and established powerhouses of Dingjing were unwilling to see Yi Chen’s investments flourish and had been thinking about how to deal with Yi Chen. They had been observing until now and decided to act by instructing Kangcheng Group to trip up Yi Chen Company, not only because they had watched long enough but also because they received support from the Jincheng, a prominent family.

”The Jincheng family? Which one?” The first person Jiang Chen thought of was the current Family Head of the Jiang Family.
