Medic Martial Dragon King

Upon hearing Jiang Chen’s question, Fan Zhewei blinked and scratched his head.

Suddenly, he slapped his forehead, ”Ah, I remember now. There was originally a piece of Blood Jade inlaid on the scabbard. Back when our family was in serious financial trouble, my dad pried off the Blood Jade to sell it. This time he probably decided not to include the scabbard with the sword because he thought the hole where the jade had been would look unsightly.”

The Blood Jade had been pryed off? Jiang Chen’s heart suddenly lurched.

”Let’s go, take me to your dad to ask where the scabbard is. Get me that scabbard,” Jiang Chen beckoned with a wave of his hand.

Fan Zhewei hastily raised his hand and pointed in a direction, ”Take my car, it’s parked up ahead.”

”Fine.”

Jiang Chen nodded and walked alongside Fan Zhewei.

...

At this moment, the Fan Family was in a state of chaos.

Several men had surrounded Fan Ping, Fan Zhewei’s father, in the courtyard, while all of the Fan Family’s bodyguards lay on the ground, unconscious or possibly worse.

And Fan Ping trembled as he looked at the men surrounding him.

”Speak! Where is the Saint Blade?”

One of the men glared at Fan Ping with a murderous look in his eyes.

Fan Ping, pale-faced and trembling even more violently, stammered, ”Wha—what Saint Blade?”

”The sword that originally matched this scabbard!”

Another man took a scabbard out of a cloth bag behind him and held it up in front of Fan Ping.

The scabbard was dark black, with an oval-shaped hole at one end.

When Fan Ping saw this scabbard, he paused, then looked closely, puzzled, ”This, this scabbard is ours. How did you guys get it? Didn’t I sell it?”

”You bastard!”

”I’m going to kill you!”

Hearing Fan Ping’s words, the surrounding men were enraged, several of them eager to kill.

”You bastard, how dare you desecrate a sacred object and lose the Saint Blade! Such a grave mistake can only be compensated with the lives of your entire family!” shouted the man holding the scabbard, his eyes bulging with rage.

Fan Ping felt his legs go weak, collapsing to the ground.

He had seen the ruthlessness of these men, and he didn’t know how many of the courtyard’s bodyguards were still alive!

”I—I’ll tell you where the sword is, just spare my family and me!” Fan Ping begged desperately.

Bang—

The man kicked Fan Ping down to the ground and pointed the scabbard at him, ”You have no room to bargain with us. Tell us immediately where the Saint Blade is!”

But it was at this moment that a series of footsteps approached, as Jiang Chen and Fan Zhewei entered the Fan Family’s courtyard.

”Ah, what happened here!”

Upon suddenly seeing the chaos in the courtyard, Fan Zhewei uttered a frightened cry.

Jiang Chen also frowned, his gaze fixed intently on the people within the courtyard.

”Dad!”

Seeing his father lying on the ground, surrounded by several menacing men, Fan Zhewei was even more astounded.

Hearing the commotion, the several men turned their heads to look at Jiang Chen and Fan Zhewei.

”The Saint Blade!”

”That’s the Saint Blade!”

The men suddenly noticed the Tang Sword in Jiang Chen’s hand and madness gleamed in their eyes.

”Hand over the Saint Blade!”

”Give us the Saint Blade, and you won’t die!”

Several men shouted loudly and charged directly at Jiang Chen.

Martial Artists? Trained fighters?

Jiang Chen noticed the men had some skills, and with a swift movement, he pulled Fan Zhewei behind him, wielding the Tang Sword as he rushed toward the group of men.

”You dare fight us... die!”

Seeing Jiang Chen meet them head-on, the men were filled with rage. Someone drew a sharp blade, aiming it fiercely at Jiang Chen.

The moment they made a move, it was a killing strike!

Courting death! Jiang Chen was also enraged, realizing he could no longer hold back, or he might not fare well himself.

So, with the sword in hand, Jiang Chen stepped up to meet them.

Schick, schick, schick!

”Ahh!”

Thud!

Bloody sword shadows enveloped the men charging at Jiang Chen, and several of them lay on the ground, screams filling the courtyard.

The two or three men that Jiang Chen had not struck stopped in their tracks, their faces turning pale.

After scanning the scene in the courtyard, a cold glint flashed in Jiang Chen’s eyes as he charged at the remaining few men with his sword.

To deal with enemies, they should be swept away like autumn leaves, so since Jiang Chen had resolved to kill, he had no intention of sparing any of them.

While Jiang Chen was fighting the men, the one who had first questioned Fan Ping bit his teeth and stealthily moved towards the entrance of the Fan residence.

”Mr. Jiang, there’s another one here!”

Fan Zhewei, hiding at a distance, pointed at the man trying to escape.

The man’s face drastically changed, and he turned and ran towards the entrance of the Fan family’s courtyard.

Jiang Chen glanced at the fleeing man, wanting to pursue but was unable to, as there were still two or three thugs in front of him.

Schick, schick, schick!

Several sounds of blades penetrating flesh echoed, and Jiang Chen quickly dealt with the men he was fighting. Looking at the gate, the escaped man was nowhere to be seen.

One still got away! A sense of foreboding filled Jiang Chen’s heart.

”Dad!”

As those men lay dead or had run away, Fan Zhewei shouted and rushed forward to help Fan Ping up.

Fan Ping had already been terrified into paralysis and took a while to regain his senses. After looking at Jiang Chen and the Tang Sword in his hand, he turned to Fan Zhewei, ”Zhewei, who is this...?”

”Dad, this is Mr. Jiang, Jiang Chen,” Fan Zhewei introduced Jiang Chen.

Fan Ping was taken aback. When the Fan family had been dealt with before, he had made inquiries and knew it was because Fan Zhewei tried to bully someone, which almost brought ruin to the entire Fan family!

Moreover, the important point Fan Ping had learned from Fan Zhewei was that the near downfall of the Fan family was because of a single phone call from Jiang Chen.

What immense power that must be!

In all of Dingjing, only a handful of top families could do such a thing, so this Jiang Chen must have close connections with those top-tier families.

Perhaps even surpassing them!

Realizing this, Fan Ping hurriedly approached Jiang Chen, speaking respectfully, ”Mr. Jiang, hello, I am Zhewei’s father, Fan Ping. My unworthy son offended you last time, and we were graced by your generous forgiveness. Now, Mr. Jiang, you have stepped in to save us again, and for that, we are truly grateful!”

”Oh, it’s nothing,” Jiang Chen casually nodded and pointed around, ”Let’s talk about what happened here, shall we?”

Fan Zhewei also looked pale and confusedly at Fan Ping.

Fan Ping glanced at the Tang Sword in Jiang Chen’s hand and said with a bitter smile, ”Actually, I also don’t know what’s happening. After I gifted this sword to Director Lin Guoliang of the Medical Bureau, I sold the scabbard. And today, those people found me through the scabbard I sold. They came in, knocked down my bodyguards without a word, and started demanding to know the whereabouts of the ’Saint Blade’.”

”Saint Blade?”

Jiang Chen looked at the sword in his hand with confusion and further questioned, ”Why do they call this sword the ’Saint Blade’?”
