Venerated Venomous Consort

Even though they were really eager to fill their stomachs, they needed to consume their food slowly. Nonetheless, everyone was so happy just to be able to eat, so they all agreed to her suggestions and terms.

The amount of food that Gu Xijiu had brought with her was enough to feed everyone for at least a month. The Lord’s return had also shone a glimpse of hope on their tactics. Therefore, the strategists in the team started to work out their plans again.

“My Lord, most of them have no spiritual power. It is only their Kung Fu that is good. The most impressive things about our opponents are their weapons and protective clothing. Nothing we have seems to be able to destroy their protective clothing. Also, their weapons are out of this world.”

“That is right! Some of their weapons can even shoot fire and set an entire street in flames.”

“Some release laser beams too, turning any target into ashes. There is no way we can escape from it.”

“Also, some of the weapons appear to vacuum the whole area when activated and suffocate every living being to death within the perimeters.”

“Their ships can release certain sound waves that are not particularly irritating to the ears, but deadly enough to make the victims bleed to death from all the seven orifices of their heads.”

“Once they are in the ships, there is nothing we can do to take them down.”

The discussion continued.

These people had been fighting against the intruders from the Blue Fox Planet, so they knew exactly who they were dealing with. All of them quickly shared what they knew about their enemies to help inform their Lord about the enemy.

Gu Xijiu listened attentively. She knew how powerful the weapons were firsthand. Not many among the people of the Starry Crescent Land had the strength to withstand such weapons of destruction. The loss of lives was inevitable.

“You said that most of them do not possess spiritual power; does that mean that them some of them do?”

Mu Feng was first to respond to the question, “Yes, some of them do possess spiritual power, somewhere between levels six to seven. I met one of them before and fought so hard to destroy his weapon, but he managed to escape in the end by channeling his spiritual power as a shield. However, his spiritual power was not like ours. It was something different.” He then glanced at Lan Waihu and decided to stop talking.

The enemy was too strong for the people of the Starry Crescent Land to resist. There was no way they could fight back, so they ended up having to flee. Furthermore, none of their spies had ever returned from their mission. Therefore, no one knew exactly where the enemy was from.

Troubled, Gu Xijiu took a quick look at Lan Waihu and casually asked, “Little Fox, what is your opinion of these people?”

Lan Waihu’s Kung Fu was outstanding, but she was not good at voicing her opinions during major discussions. She was sitting in the corner with Yan Chen when she was called out publicly by Gu Xijiu. Surprised, she started stammering, “I… I do not know them very well.”

“Didn’t you sneak out into the battlefield last month? Did any of them pursue you?” Gu Xijiu asked gently.

Lan Waihu did not know how to answer her question, so she turned and looked to Yan Chen for a solution.

“Two men were trying to catch her. I assumed they wanted her alive, as they did not launch any fatal attacks,” Yan Chen answered on her behalf.

Gu Xijiu asked again, “Little Fox, what did the two men tell you?”

Lan Waihu shook her head but eventually said, “They… They said something indecent, but nothing more.”

Gu Xijiu then looked at Yan Chen for confirmation.

“I made it in time to free her from the two men. They left as soon as I approached.”
