Venerated Venomous Consort

“Swoosh!” A shadow flashed before his eyes and disappeared along with the mermaid.

The man gasped in disbelief as his companions were already exclaiming, “It is the two-legged goat!”

The person who rescued the mermaid was certainly Gu Xijiu. At this moment, she was standing gracefully on the deck with the mermaid secured in her left arm. All the guns were now pointed at her. She swept her eyes across these armed men and continued to wonder where she could be at this moment.

Unexpectedly, she was alarmed by the mermaid’s sudden question. “My Lord?” Her voice was filled with an equal amount of surprise and wonder.

Gu Xijiu was still in shock, so she did not know how to respond.

“Are you our Lord? I have heard about your teleportation skills! You must be the Lord!”

“My Lord! You are finally back! Please, help us all!”

The other two mermaids chimed in a glimmer of hope could be seen in their eyes.

She noticed that they had addressed her as their ‘Lord.’ Does that mean she traveled back to Starry Crescent Land instead of the future?

Mermaids did exist in Starry Crescent Land, too. In fact, they were deeply related to Gu Xijiu. After Di Fuyi’s immortalization, Gu Xijiu assumed his role as the Lord and managed to unify the fragmented sea clans as one, which included the mermaids.

Gu Xijiu studied the mermaids and was further reassured by their outfits. They dressed like the people of Blue Hill Continent.

“Are you Lan Yaoguang’s people?” Gu Xijiu asked.

“Yes! Yes, my Lord! We are the people of Blue Hill Continent. Our master has been waiting for your return. Please, save us all from this misery!”

“Many of us have been caught.”

The three mermaids fell onto the ground and bowed before her mighty presence. And with all the recent revelations, Gu Xijiu was now certain that she did not travel to the future. Nonetheless, she still could not make sense of the flying vehicle and the Special Forces.

“So, you are the Lord that they have been endlessly talking about!”

“Haha! The Lord is only a little girl.”

“The girl is pretty! Little lady Lord, your dress looks exquisite; I bet you will look even better without these clothes! Come, let me give you a hand and help you undress.” One of the men with big earrings stood out while laughing. As soon as he was finished with the harassment, he reached out his hand in a brave attempt to touch Gu Xijiu’s face.

Even though he was bold, he was still cautious. While reaching out to Gu Xijiu, he was still holding his gun with his finger resting on the trigger. He had to make sure that he held Gu Xijiu at gunpoint, for if he encountered the slightest resistance, he would pull the trigger.

Before he could fire his gun, he was distracted by a sudden, sharp pain on his wrist. In the next second, his wrist had already been cut off, and the gun in his hand had been taken away, too.

The rest of the people were shocked by what they had seen. They did not hesitate to kill, so they all fired at Gu Xijiu at once. Dozens of guns fired with great splendor, like fireworks, all aimed at the place where Gu Xijiu just landed.

They clearly saw that she landed, but she had also abruptly disappeared in a split second. The next thing they knew was that all of their hands had been cut off and that their guns were seized. By the time they could react, they were already empty-handed.

“Bang! Bang!” Many guns could be heard firing at the same time, followed by the armed men screeching in agony. Their own guns injured every member of the Special Forces. Their knees and wrists both suffered from gun wounds. Helplessly, they knelt on the ground.

Across the deck, Gu Xijiu was standing firmly right in front of them, surrounded by a pile of guns. Those were the guns that she had seized from the armed men. In her hand, she was holding one, too.
