Venerated Venomous Consort

Gu Xijiu was speechless. She found this sentence too familiar to her.

Whether it was in the Upper Bound or this world, a creature trainer was extremely rare. Gu Xijiu had lived in three different worlds before, but it was her first time encountering one. Being inquisitive, she wanted to see how Tian Meimei would tame the beast.

Lion had clearly suffered in Tian Meimei’s hands. It was very resistant to his approach. However, the master did not give in and grabbed the creature toward Tian Xiuxiu. Tian Xiuxiu was clearly disgustedly and took two steps back. “Tian Meimei, what the hell are you doing? You know that I hate dogs!”

“Lion, did you hear him? He hates dogs. Any dogs that go close to him get their skin peeled off. He even shatters their bones into dust. Yet, you circled the man eight times just now! Just think about how he would punish you.”

It was apparent to the group that Lion could understand the human language. The hair over its entire body was standing after it heard that remark. Desperately, it slowly edged backward.

“Stupid child! It is useless for you to distance yourself. He is very vengeful. Even if you run away, he will go after you and skin you alive. He will make sure that you suffer for at least eight days.” Tian Meimei spoke in a pitiful tone.

Tian Xiuxiu was dumbfounded. He was not as ferocious as what his colleague had suggested. At most, he would only kick the dog away! But, Lion believed the story. It already had tears in its eyes, and its body was shivering.

Tian Meimei patted its head. “Don’t be afraid. If you treat me as your master, I will protect you so that others will not dare to touch you again.”

Lion looked at him but was unsure of what to do.

Meanwhile, Tian Meimei maintained his persistence. “You are a monster; why did you sell your life to the human that was here just now? The devil world is where you belong. To be honest, you are considered a traitor. Do you know how the monster world deals with traitors? They will slice them into pieces and feed their flesh to the birds.” He then pointed to the small fire-breathing dragon posing on Wan Hongxiu’s shoulder. “Can you see that broken bird? It has already eaten more than 10,000 traitors…”

The bird spat fire onto Tian Meimei. It only ate bamboo. When had it eaten the meat of traitors?

Nonetheless, because Lion could not tell if Tian Meimei was lying, it willingly gave in to Tian Meimei’s request. Its only request was that the man protects it.

Tian Meimei began to cast a spell, and in a brief moment, a yellow light seemed to cover Lion’s entire body. Shortly after, the creature seemed to have disappeared entirely.

“Is it done? Where did you keep it?”

Tian Meimei’s fingers pinched another spell, and after a while, Lion fell from the sky and landed in front of him, bowing its head and waiting for an order.

“Go to your companions and take them to the south…” Tian Meimei commanded.

Lion acknowledged his order with a bark and ran away. It was incredibly fast and disappeared almost instantaneously.

Gu Xijiu was familiar with the geography here. She knew that there was a large grassy swamp in the south. There was something unnatural about that place, and it was rumored that any creature that entered would be swallowed alive.

“Aren’t you afraid that it will never come back?”

Tian Meimei wiped his face with his delicate fingers and smiled. “No, I have already established a binding covenant with it. It can only be faithful to me for its entire life.”

“But, aren’t you afraid that the swamp will consume it?”

“No. The creature already understands the nature of the place.”
