Venerated Venomous Consort

In fact, he had found many things, except the person he really wanted- Di Fuyi. All of his attempts had been in vain, and he finally realized that he was fooled again. Based on his past experiences, he would even guess that Di Fuyi was never in Fengping City. Gu Xijiu and the Kun had tricked him into a frantic search.

He took a deep breath and decided that he would not chase Di Fuyi endlessly. Di Fuyi would return to the Devil Kingdom, sooner or later, and there was only one way in, which was located at the Black Desert in Suiye City. He would send his troops there to wait for the right opportunity.

In the next eight days, he would secure the entrance with the tightest security. Anyone who wished to enter the Devil Kingdom would be apprehended. Furthermore, the blood rain would fall again in eight days. Di Fuyi and Gu Xijiu will definitely need to hide in one of the nine cities if they are not able to enter the Devil Kingdom in time.

Therefore, Yun Yanli immediately contacted all the governors in the different cities to strengthen their security. All members of the troop must travel in a group of 20 and above. Alarms should be sounded at once if something seemed suspicious. All the governors had to take serious precautions to prevent Gu Xijiu’s and her men from attacking any lone troops and then stealing the person’s disguise.

More sentries were posted to interrogate and examine all passersby at every junction, whether alone or in groups. At this point, Yun Yanli was willing to kill thousands of his people just to make sure that Gu Xijiu and her gang did not slip through his fingers. He had his men scattered in every corner of the Shura World. It was only a matter of time before Di Fuyi fell into his trap.

Everything was well arranged and in place. Yun Yanli had an evil grin on his face as he reflected on the concrete plan he devised. He did not believe that Di Fuyi and Gu Xijiu could escape this time.

The first day passed rather quietly. Three days later, everything still seemed to be the same. Five days had passed, and nothing happened either. But finally, the seventh day was upon them.

Yun Yanli had grown anxious all these days. He was easily agitated, so all of his followers dared not get close to him. Instead, they tried their best to find what he wanted. To their dismay, Di Fuyi and Gu Xijiu seemed to have vanished without a trace.

In the very end, Yun Yanli finally thought of the ultimate move to make Gu Xijiu surrender herself voluntarily, which was to abuse her people and use them as bait. He had planned to place her people under arrest for creating disorder in the society. However, as soon as the warrant went out, the young palace master immediately came back with a report that all of her people had disappeared seven days ago.

The disappearance happened the day when the so-called celestial being made an appearance. The streets were chaotic that night, so the young palace master and her men busy trying to return the order to the city. She received a report that night that many common people had left the city. Gu Xijiu’s people were among those runaways.

As the frantic search for Di Fuyi had fairly occupied the young palace master, she hardly paid any attention to the missing commoners. After all, she never truly cared about them. However, upon receiving Yun Yanli’s order, she sent out her men to find Gu Xijiu’s people, only to realize that they were all gone.

Yun Yanli was obviously irritated by the report. He raised his hand and gave the young palace master a resounding slap on the face. “Why didn’t you tell me about such a serious matter?”

The young palace master kneeled quietly without saying anything.

With a sigh, Yun Yanli decided to leave. “Bring your men. Meet me at Qingfeng Mountain, 200 miles east of Luo Hua City.” He finally knew where Di Fuyi was hiding. They must be hiding in the Valley of Qingfeng Mountain. It was where Gu Xijiu was trapped before.
