Reborn As Noble

Chapter 1238: A New Target for Teasing ( 1238 )

”What do you want to know about him? Hmm?”

Gracelle averted her eyes, her cheeks flushing.

”Umm... I heard that... you’re all from Armand... from the... umm... region where... the boy I want to meet is from...”

Liana exhaled. ”Sigh... just ask already. What about Armand?”

Gracelle, still covering her lips with the blanket, looked at Liana.

”I heard from the healers... about Armand facing two major wars before...”

Liana rested her chin on her palm, looking at Gracelle with a subtle, curious expression.

Gracelle fell silent for a moment before continuing.

”And they said Armand is now a nation... so I was wondering... since you said before that once I regain my health, I could meet the one I want to meet... but...” She paused, her voice trembling slightly. ”Armand faced wars... and I know what war costs... I know what it can take away...”

She paused again, her lower lip trembling. ”And I remember something from long ago... and when you mentioned that elves rarely wander outside their nation... and if I’m not mistaken... you were... his maid... before... right?”

Liana exhaled and leaned back, crossing her arms.

”Mm... it took you long enough to notice. Yes. I am Javier De Armand’s personal maid. I’ve served him since he was a baby until now.” Liana smiled softly behind her mask. ”But...” She paused and glanced up at the ceiling, letting out a long exhale. ”Soon... I won’t be working as his maid anymore.”

Gracelle’s eyes shimmered. ”So... he’s alive?” Her lips pursed, holding back emotion.

Liana tilted her head in confusion.

Why does she sound so surprised?

Ah~ Does this mean she thought, because Armand faced two major wars... that Young Master’s family might have been lost?

My~ Interesting... Let’s see how far this goes.

”Mm~” Liana smiled. ”Yes. Young Master Javier is still alive.” She hid her smirk behind her mask, keeping her expression controlled. ”The reason we came here is because he wanted you to be safe.”

Gracelle’s eyes widened. ”Does this mean... he and his family... are no longer viscounts? Did Armand fall under a new ruler?”

Liana looked at Gracelle, her eyes glinting with amusement.

So she still doesn’t know the one who saved her was Young Master all along~

My my~ How cute.

Let’s see how far I can take this...

Looking at her expression, and how she fidgets nervously, her eyes full of hope and fear... I’m sure she doesn’t even realize that the ’doctor’ who saved her was the boy she’s been longing to meet~

Arara~ Now I’ve found another cute source of entertainment.

She exhaled, pretending to look weary and sympathetic.

”Yes... Young Master is still alive. But his family is no longer a viscount. He’s healthy, though. He even has time to play with his Pekko, he’s a picky eater who only loves meat, he loves playing around and enjoying his freedom. Not to mention he’s far too cheeky for his age.”

Gracelle’s eyes lit up with a glimmer of excitement. ”Thank goodness... he’s still alive. I thought... when I heard Armand faced two major wars... I thought he and his family might have been lost... you know... I’ve had friends too... but they’re gone now... because of noble greed, ambition, and all the ugly things that come with power...”

”You don’t have to worry about that, Gracelle. He’s alive, healthy, and... well, he’s still himself.”

Gracelle let out a relieved sigh before glancing at Liana, her expression softening. ”You’re... telling the truth, right?”

Liana smirked behind her mask. ”Yes. If you don’t believe me, I can arrange for you to meet him.”

”Ehhh!?” Gracelle’s eyes widened, and she pulled the blanket up to cover her face. ”No... I... I don’t think I’m ready to meet him yet. I don’t want him to see me... like this.”

Ah~ If only she knew that not only has she already met him, but he also saw her completely naked during the operation.

I wonder how she’ll react when she finds out that the handsome doctor she’s been eyeing is actually the boy she’s been waiting for all these years...

I can’t wait to see that moment.

Ah~ I love this... watching her slowly piece things together, completely unaware that the answer has been right in front of her all along.

The anticipation, the confusion, the eventual realization... it’s going to be priceless.

I want to see her reaction, her expression, when she finally discovers the truth.

But how am I going to arrange that?

This is even more entertaining than seeing Felicia, Mimi, and Delya’s faces when they found out that sex wasn’t just kissing. They were so innocent back then, thinking that a simple kiss could make a girl pregnant. The shock on their faces when they learned the truth was priceless.

And since this girl will surely become Young Master’s sixth wife, that means... as the first wife and his first love, I have the privilege to tease her, guide her, and watch her stumble through every adorable realization.

Liana leaned forward, resting her elbow on her thigh and her chin on her palm, smirking behind her mask.

”Now, Gracelle.”

”Yes, Miss Elf?” Gracelle glanced at Liana.

”Just call me Liana. It’ll be awkward if you keep calling me ’Miss Elf,’ especially if I’m chatting with another elf and you need to get my attention. Imagine calling out ’Miss Elf’ and three of us turn around.”

”Umm...” Gracelle fidgeted. ”Okay... Miss Liana.”

”Is that the only thing you wanted to ask? If so, I’ll be taking my leave~”

”Umm...” Gracelle glanced away, her cheeks flushing.

Liana smirked, narrowing her eyes with anticipation.

Yes? Liana softened her voice. ”Don’t be shy. Just ask. I won’t bite.”

Yes~ I won’t bite~ Don’t worry~

But I want to see more of her adorable reactions.

Ah~ I didn’t realize having someone new to tease could be this much fun. A new adorable target to tease, someone so innocent and easy to fluster. First Felicia, then Delya and Mimi... and now her.

If only I could tease Gloria like this too, but it’s hard. She’s not just my cousin, but she’s sharp, mature, and always sees right through me. Not to mention she’s on par with me in strength and wit. Teasing her is like trying to outsmart myself.

And since Young Master’s wives will eventually total seven... I wonder if the last one will also be this fun to tease as this one.

”M... Miss Liana?”

”Hmm? Yes, Gracelle?” Liana snapped out of her thoughts and smiled softly behind her mask.

”Umm... I saw you... you were quiet for a moment...”

”Ah~ No, I wasn’t lost in thought. I was just waiting for you to ask me something.”

”Oh...” Gracelle nodded slowly, her eyes curious.

”So? What do you want to know? About Young Master? Or perhaps... about the Doctor~?” Liana gave her a teasing look.
