Reborn As Noble

Chapter 1216: A Knock on the Door ( 1216 )

Meanwhile.

Kalea, who had already removed her surgical attire, moved toward the next building while grumbling under her breath.

”Ugh! Why is it always me?”

She exhaled. ”Myra easily said I should inform Mrs. Erinette if Liana is scary. But does she forget that Mrs. Erinette is far scarier than Liana?”

”Sigh... Let’s hope Liana is in a good mood today.”

She reached the building door and saw Garak and Marcor sitting guard.

Garak whistled playfully. ”Hello, beautiful~” he smirked, leaning his hand against the wall.

”What do you want, Garak?” Kalea rolled her eyes, giving him a side glare.

”Aw~ Come on... I’m just saying hello. Don’t be so cold~”

She rolled her eyes again. ”I’m busy, and I don’t have time for this.” She turned her glance toward Marcor. ”Marcor?”

Marcor ignored her, pretending not to hear anything.

”Marcor!!!” she hissed.

”Ugh! Annoying girl is here. I wonder why you’re even interested in her, Garak.”

”What?” Garak chuckled. ”She’s beautiful. Of course, I’m interested.”

”Yeah. The only thing she has is beauty, but her personality is annoying as hell.”

Kalea glared hard at Marcor, who just ignored her.

”Marcorrrrr!!!”

”Ugh! My eardrum. What do you want, Kalea? If you’re looking for Our King, he already headed toward Mathrias Estate with the Queen and his usual escort, Sir Alf and Mrs. Erinette.”

Kalea exhaled and slowly leaned in close to Marcor, giving him a sweet, clingy smile that annoyed him.

”Marcorrrr~”

”Ugh! Get off me!” Marcor stood up and pushed her away, giving her an annoyed look. ”What? Don’t get too close to me.”

”Mou! You should feel lucky a beautiful girl like me is even interested in you~” Kalea narrowed her eyes while giving him another playful smile.

”Not interested! Besides, Garak is the one who’s interested in you. You should feel lucky there’s someone who actually likes you. Look at him, good job, good house, good face. And he’s already interested in you. So scram. Shoo, shoo.”

Kalea huffed and puckered her lips before turning toward Garak while rolling her eyes.

”Garak.”

Garak wiggled his eyebrows and gave her his best charming smile, lowering his voice to a smooth, seductive tone. ”Yes, my beautiful lady~? Do you need assistance from this handsome gentleman?”

”Eww!” Kalea gave him a disgusted look. ”No way. Now listen.”

”Yes, my beautiful lady?” Garak gave her another flirtatious grin.

Kalea exhaled. ”Do you know where Miss Liana is?”

”Oh~ Miss Liana is inside her room with her other co-wives. But this handsome Garak is here for you~”

Kalea turned and glanced at Marcor with a sweet smile. ”Marcor~” She pursed her lips and tried to get close to him again.

But Marcor pushed her away. ”Ugh! You can just stay there and ask. Why do you even need to get close?”

”Mou!” She pouted. ”Most men would dream of having a beautiful girl like me even look their way~”

”No way. You might be beautiful, but you’re annoying. Second, you’re not my type. So stop trying to get my attention.” Marcor showed her an annoyed face, making it clear he wasn’t interested.

He narrowed his glare at Kalea. ”Just be straight to the point and stop doing what you’re doing right now.”

”Mou! So cold. Hmmph!” She turned to Garak, who was still showing off his charm.

”Can any of you inform Miss Liana that Miss Myra is calling for her?”

Garak paused and sat back in his seat, crossing his arms.

”Nope... we can’t do that.”

Marcor chuckled and smirked. ”Yeah. You forgot Miss Liana, Miss Gloria, Princess Felicia, Princess Delya, and Princess Mimi are soon to be our Prince Javier’s fiancées? Nope. We don’t want any trouble. Besides, if you want to call her, just use a mana talkie. And if there’s no response, ask the maids.”

”Don’t get me wrong, Kalea. It’s not like we can’t, but it’s better if we don’t. If there’s no other choice, then we’ll go call her.” Garak shook his head.

Marcor smirked. ”Heh... Why are you insisting that we call Miss Liana? You’re a girl, you could just go meet her yourself. There’s no restriction on you entering.”

”Ugh!” Kalea glared and puffed her cheeks. ”You both know she’s scary, right?”

”Huh?” Marcor raised an eyebrow, confused. ”No. She might be strict when it comes to discipline, rules, or staff manners, but she doesn’t eat people, you know.”

”But... we all know she’s jealous of beautiful girls, right?” Kalea mumbled softly.

Marcor was stunned before letting out a loud laugh. ”Are you even dreaming right now? Bwahahaha!”

Garak just chuckled and shook his head.

Marcor wiped his eyes. ”Did you forget she’s an Elf! And currently ranks first in the Maid Beauty Contest for the Partnered category, with Miss Gloria ranking second, just slightly behind her? Huh?”

He continued. ”You do know Mahira is rank one for the Single category, and the current Head of Household Maid, Erisa, is catching up fast, now at rank three, while Anna is rank two! And yet Miss Liana doesn’t even target them. And just so you know? Mahira is even prettier than you!”

Marcor grinned at Kalea.

”You also know our Head of Household Maid, Erisa, openly dreams of being with Prince Javier, and yet Liana never attacked her. So stop being paranoid and just go inside. Man... you’re really being funny today~”

”Ugh! No wonder you’re still single!” Kalea hissed at Marcor.

”Oho~” Marcor wiggled his finger. ”No, no, no~ I’m single now because I choose to be. Not because I can’t find someone~”

Kalea huffed and puffed her cheeks, stomped toward the door, paused, turned, and stuck her tongue out at Marcor.

”I hope you stay single for years!” she hissed.

Marcor wiggled his eyebrows and gave her a cheeky grin. ”Well... if I’m single, I’m sure you’ll still be chasing after me~”

”Ughhhhh!!!!” She grumbled and headed inside, closing the door.

Once inside, she glanced around and noticed all the maids were busy.

She exhaled.

Guess I don’t have a choice but to call her myself.

Ugh! Why did the patient request something like this?

She moved upstairs and reached the room where Liana and the others were staying.

Let’s hope Miss Liana’s mood is good today.

She knocked three times and mumbled softly.

”Mm... pardon... Miss Liana.”

The door opened, and Liana stood there with a serious expression, her eyes sharp and intense.

Kalea fidgeted the moment she looked into Liana’s intimidating gaze.

Liana tilted her head. ”Yes, Kalea?”

”Um... Miss... Liana...”

”Hmm? Is there anything I can help you with?”

”Umm...” She averted her eyes and fidgeted. ”Miss... umm... Miss Myra... is requesting... your presence... She said you’re needed in the Intensive Care Unit.”

Liana narrowed her eyes.

”Now?”
