Reborn As Noble

Chapter 1221: A Heart That Races ( 1221 )

A pause... before Gracelle’s eyes widened. ”Ehhhh!!!?”

”Huh? Why?”

”Y... y... you’re engaged to a prince? A real PRINCE? The First Prince or the Second Prince of the Human Kingdom?” Gracelle’s voice was filled with excitement.

Liana tilted her head.

Ah... so she still doesn’t know the Armand Region is now fully independent and has become the Armand Nation, huh?

Interesting~

So this means she still doesn’t know Young Master’s real identity as Prince of the Armand Nation, and the doctor who saved her life.

And from what I can see... she doesn’t even realize it was me, the elf maid from Armand she met years ago~

”Ah, no~ Not the prince from the Human Kingdom.” Liana turned and faced her. ”A prince from another nation.”

”Eh? Another nation? Is the doctor from the Elven Nation? But he looks human. And from what I know... the Elven Queen isn’t married yet.” Gracelle put her finger on her lips. ”And he doesn’t look like a Dwarf or a Beastkin...”

She turned and glanced at Liana. ”So... is he from the Demon Nation?”

Liana paused... before letting out a soft laugh. ”No~ He’s human.”

”Oh... but... is there a nation other than the Human Kingdom for the human race? I’ve never heard of any.”

”Well... since you’ve been bedridden for years, I’m sure you don’t know the latest news, right?”

”Mm...” Gracelle’s face turned a little sad. ”Yeah... if only I could walk again.”

Liana shook her head and smiled. ”I’m sure you will. Since this is your first day after the surgery, I’m sure in weeks or months you’ll be able to walk again, maybe a little weak at first, but better than just lying in bed, right?”

”Mm!” Gracelle smiled in excitement. ”I can’t wait to walk again. So I could meet him, write letters with him again. I wonder if he still remembers me~”

Liana smiled.

Looks like she’s still in love with Young Master, huh?

Can’t blame her. After all, her first kiss was stolen by him.

She’s really been waiting for him and staying loyal, even if they rarely meet and the promise was made years ago in a childish, one-sided vow.

Sigh... looks like I don’t really have a choice...

”Miss Elf?” Gracelle glanced at Liana, who had gone silent for a moment.

”Hmm? Yes?” Liana snapped out of her thoughts and smiled behind her mask. ”What is it?”

”Umm... you suddenly went quiet... so I thought you were... umm... sleeping with your eyes wide open?” She giggled.

Liana hissed. ”No way a beautiful elf like me would sleep like that.”

Gracelle smiled before her face turned sad again.

Liana noticed and tilted her head in confusion.

”What’s wrong?”

Gracelle puckered her lips. ”But... what if when he sees me like this...” She paused before her lower lip trembled slightly. ”What if when he sees me again, he feels... disgusted... seeing my body and face... like this?”

Liana exhaled.

So she really didn’t notice, espite being sick for so long, her face is still the same and beautiful, only her body is skinny and frail. And I even saw her naked body during the surgery.

If only she knew there are two parts of her that Young Master really likes... her bare pussy and full, soft breasts are still perfect and exactly his type. And I can confirm it since I’ve seen Gloria, Felicia, Delya, and Mimi when they’re naked.

And I also noticed how Young Master’s eyes look at mine. One of the reasons why he went wild last night on all of us.

Liana smiled softly.

”You don’t have to worry about that. You do know what recovery means, right?”

”R... really?” Gracelle’s eyes were hopeful, filled with fragile hope.

”Yes... I’m sure if you follow the doctor’s instructions, follow the diet given, and eat the food recommended and provided by us, your body will be back to normal again.”

Gracelle smiled in excitement. ”Mmm. I really hope so.”

She glanced at Liana. ”I wonder how he looks nowadays. The last time we met was when I was still ten~” She giggled softly. ”I wonder if he grew fat~”

Liana crossed one arm while resting the other, her palm on her cheek. ”Oh~ I’m sure you’ll be surprised~” Liana mumbled in a very low voice while hiding her smirk. ”If only you knew, you’d be the one chasing after him like a lovesick person~”

”Miss Elf?” Gracelle called her again.

”Hmm? What?” Liana calmed her face and glanced at her while resting her chin on her palm.

”Umm... did you say something?” Gracelle glanced at her face.

”No...” Liana smiled behind her mask.

”Really? But I think I heard you say something in a low voice.”

”Perhaps that’s just your imagination.” Liana tilted her head to the side and smiled softly.

”Oh... maybe...” she mumbled softly.

”You must be lucky to have such a handsome guy as your fiancé... not to mention a Prince.”

Liana smiled. ”Maybe.”

”I wonder if that boy is as handsome as yours.”

”Who knows~” Liana smirked.

She really didn’t notice, huh?

Well... let’s see how she’ll react.

”Tell me honestly, Miss Gracelle.”

”Hmm? How do you know my name?” Gracelle looked at Liana in confusion.

”Huh? Of course we know since we helped in your treatment, right?”

”Oh... right...” Gracelle smiled faintly.

”So, Miss Gracelle... be honest with me.”

”What is it, Miss Elf?”

”The doctor... when you look at him, does your heart race?”

”Eh?” Gracelle averted her eyes. ”H... how would I know?”

Liana leaned forward. ”Oh~ It seems like you feel something, right? Just tell me the truth. I won’t be mad.”

Gracelle mumbled softly, her voice barely audible. ”I... I didn’t know he already had a fiancée...”

”Just tell me... what do you think? Even without looking at his face, your heart races, right?” Liana gave her a teasing look.

”I... I’m sorry!” Gracelle covered her face with the blanket. ”I didn’t know he was your fiancé.”

Liana chuckled softly. ”I don’t mind. I just want to know. Besides, it’s part of my ’job’ to check your recovery progress, emotional reactions can be a good sign of healing.”

”I... I’m sorry... I didn’t mean it that way... It’s just... he’s handsome... and the one who saved my life... so...umm...” Gracelle mumbled, her voice trailing off. ”Don’t worry, Miss Elf... I’m still... you know... wanting to meet the boy I promised to.”

Liana smiled.

”If you don’t have anything else to ask, now sleep so I can leave.” Liana leaned back in her chair, crossing her arms.

”Umm... can I ask one more thing?”

”What is it?”

”What did you mean before?” Gracelle mumbled softly.

”About what?” Liana pretended to be confused by Gracelle’s question.

”Umm... about... you know... the one you said about... umm...” Gracelle paused, glancing at Liana.

Liana exhaled again.

Why does everyone keep beating around the bush? What a troublesome habit. I’m tired, my body is sore, my butt hurts, and I’m sleepy.

”Just ask already,” she hissed again. ”I want to head back to my room and meet the soft pillow and sleep.”

”Muu~ So cold.” Gracelle puckered her lips. ”You weren’t like this before~ Miss Elf.”

”Ugh... Of course, I’m not. But my head hurts and... well... you don’t need to know.”
