Reborn As Noble

Chapter 1134: Sleeping Shields and Sparkling Eyes ( 1134 )

Francesca looked at their faces and eyes, her expression shifting from confusion to a gentle, knowing suspicion.

She then turned her gaze back to Javier, her smile sweet but carrying an edge.

”Honeybun~”

”Hmm?” Javier, who was still cradling his sleeping sisters, glanced at his mother. ”Yes, Mother?”

Francesca slowly walked toward him with a terrifyingly sweet smile. ”What have you done with my cute daughters-in-law~?”

”Eh? I didn’t do anything!” Javier instinctively used his sleeping sisters as a shield, holding them a little closer. ”M... Mother... I’m carrying both of your daughters here!”

”Then tell me why they suddenly came to me with pleading eyes like that~ hmm?” Francesca crossed her arms and glared hard at Javier.

”Eh? How would I know? Ask them, then.” Javier shrugged innocently.

”Oh?” Francesca tilted her head. ”Really? Hmm? You don’t know?”

Javier held both his little sisters as a shield while wiggling his eyebrows with a cheeky grin. ”You can’t hit me~”

”Javier De Armand!” Francesca hissed. ”You better explain this to me!” She huffed and bit her lower lip, clearly unable to do anything to Javier while he was holding the girls.

”Eh? We were talking about the Maid Beauty Ranking system, and they asked me why they didn’t get to join. So I explained it’s for Armand maids only.” Javier explained while still showing his cheeky grin, making sure Francesca could see both his half-sisters still sleeping peacefully against his chest.

”Really?” Francesca slowly calmed down, though she still narrowed her eyes at Javier.

”Yeah,” Javier shrugged. ”When they asked why Liana and Gloria could join, I explained that they’re still officially considered maids in the system until they’re officially engaged. They were part of the ranking before the engagement was announced, so they’re still eligible.”

”Is it true?” Francesca turned toward Felicia, Mimi, and Delya, who were still looking at her with pleading eyes. All three of them nodded. Felicia and Mimi’s tails swayed softly in unison, while Delya gently clung to Francesca’s sleeve.

Francesca exhaled softly and smiled, gently caressing each of their heads. ”Honey~ You three are princesses. I know Liana is also a princess now since her father became the ruler of the Elven Kingdom under Queen Mylezra, but she still retains her status as an Armand household maid until her official engagement. That’s why she’s eligible. But you three... you’ve always been royalty. This contest is for the hardworking maids of Armand, it’s a way to honor them, not for princesses to compete in~”

”So only Liana and Gloria can compete for the prize?” Felicia asked in a soft murmur.

”Hmm? The prize? You also want the prize I’m offering?” Francesca asked, her tone gentle but curious.

Felicia shook her head. ”No... the prize... Husband said if Liana or Gloria wins, they can ask him for anything...”

”Nya! It’s unfair!” Mimi pouted, her tail flicking in protest.

Delya nodded dreamily. ”Mm~ I also want to...”

Francesca glanced at Liana and Gloria, who were now standing behind Javier, and exhaled softly. ”Is it true, Liana?”

Liana stepped forward slightly, her posture poised and professional. ”Yes, Mother. I asked Young Master what he would offer if I were to participate and join the contest. He said that if I win, I could ask him for anything. And since you wished for both Gloria and me to remain in the ranking until the results are announced, I agreed to participate.”

Francesca exhaled and smiled. ”Liana? Gloria?”

Both replied in unison, bowing softly. ”Yes, Mother?”

”A word?” Francesca gestured for them to come closer.

Liana and Gloria moved toward her, and Francesca led them a few steps away from Javier and the others, her expression gentle but thoughtful.

I wonder what Mother wants to ask them about?

Heh... not my problem. Thanks to these two. Javier leaned down and gave Macia and Vivica a soft kiss on their cheeks. ”Mother wouldn’t be able to hit me. Ehehehe.”

Well... that’s kinda low... but... whatever. It’s me, Javier De Armand. Never play it clean.

He glanced at Felicia, Delya, and Mimi and smiled.

”Come here~” Javier gestured to them to come close to him.

Felicia, Delya, and Mimi came close and glanced up at him.

”How about this? You all pick which one of them will win. Anyone who guesses right can also request something from me. Fair?”

Felicia’s cheeks flushed, and she smiled softly. ”Mm... okay~ Husband~”

Delya returned to her usual dreamy expression, smiling gently. ”Mm~ I like that. I agree, Danna-sama~”

Mimi’s tail swayed as she tilted her head and put a finger to her lips. ”Nya? What if nobody guesses right?”

Felicia and Delya turned toward Mimi. ”What do you mean?”

”Nya? Since the announcement isn’t out yet, and the ranking is still ongoing... and Husband mentioned Mrs. Erinette forfeited, and her votes are being redistributed to her voters again... doesn’t that mean the results could still change a lot?”

”Ah... you’re right, Mimi,” Felicia nodded.

”Mm... that’s true,” Delya tilted her head thoughtfully before everyone turned and glanced up at Javier.

Javier just chuckled and shook his head. ”That means no one wins~ Ehehehe~”

”Ehhhhh!?” The three of them looked up at Javier with dissatisfied expressions. ”Not fair!”

Javier just smirked. ”What? It’s fair, right? If no one guesses right, that means I’m the winner~ Ehehehe.”

All three of them gripped Javier’s clothes with pleading eyes.

”No~” Javier narrowed his eyes with a cheeky smile. ”That won’t work this time~ I’m immune to puppy eyes when I’m holding two sleeping shields.”

”But... but...” Felicia said shyly, her voice trailing off.

Javier flashed his charming smile toward them and whispered in a low, honeyed tone that melt their resistance on the spot. ”How about... if you all behave, I’ll give you each a special reward later~ One that’s just for you~”

The three of them froze, silent for a moment, before suddenly hugging him from all sides, hitting him with playful, light punches.

Javier just let out a soft laugh.

Man... This feels good.

I love how they react~

Javier’s eyes glanced at Delya.

Tonight... she will be officially mine~

Gently, slowly... making sure she feels nothing but pleasure and love. I want to watch her dreamy eyes cloud with passion, to hear her whisper my name like a prayer.

Mm~ Can’t wait.
