Reborn As Noble

Chapter 1120: Hearts Are Not Toys ( 1120 )

”Nya? What? It’s Husband’s usual way of talking, right? That handsome face~ nya~” Mimi’s eyes sparkled with excitement. ”Those charming eyes~ and his voice~ Ehehe~ Husband is so handsome~”

Mimi’s tail swished back and forth in a happy, wiped a bit of drool from the corner of her mouth.

Delya’s dreamy smile widened, drift into her own imagination, picturing Javier’s handsome face right in front of her, looking down at her with those charming eyes and whispering sweet, honeyed words that made her melt.

”Ah~ Danna-sama~” she murmured softly, fidgeting slightly as if she were about to dissolve into a puddle of bliss.

Liana let out a long, tired exhale and pinched the bridge of her nose. Gloria exhaled sharply and nudged her glasses up with a resigned expression.

Felicia just kept watching as Javier was dragged away by his mother, the main door closing firmly behind them.

She looked at Liana and Gloria with worried eyes. ”Will Husband be okay?”

Liana exhaled softly. ”This isn’t the first time our husband has gotten into trouble like this.”

Gloria nudged her glasses, a faint smirk on her lips. ”Mm... He’s always been like that. Perhaps because he’s bored, or just feeling playful. Since Liana doesn’t chase him around with a wooden plank anymore...” she paused, her smirk widening, ”...or a baseball bat~”

Liana narrowed her eyes slightly. ”That was back when he was still a brat. Can you imagine someone who’s now so handsome, tall, and charming being chased around like that?”

Gloria chuckled softly, her expression softening with nostalgia. ”He was so cheeky back then. Always causing chaos, leaving pranks for the maids, making his parent worry.”

”Eh?” Felicia’s eyes widened in surprise. ”He was that mischievous?”

Liana let out another long exhale, shaking her head slightly. ”Mischievous is an understatement. He used to flip the maids’ skirts, slap their butts, and bolt before anyone could catch him. He’d sneak out of the estate even after His Majesty explicitly forbade it, and I’d have to go track him down. The first time he fought monsters alone, he didn’t come home for an entire night. Everyone was worried sick. I finally found him covered in monster blood, sleeping with his pekko at the entrance of what would become the first Armand ore mine.”

Liana glanced at Gloria. ”And what made it worse was that someone pampered him too much. If he asked for a kiss, she’d just give it to him. If he wanted to hide behind her, she’d let him. If he wanted to... well... let him get handsy, she’d allow it.” She said, her eyes fixed meaningfully on Gloria.

”Eh?” Felicia’s eyes widened further.

”Ara~ That was so long ago~” Gloria replied with a playful, unapologetic smile. ”And besides, he’s going to be my husband anyway~ I don’t think that’s a problem.”

Liana exhaled again, a mix of exasperation and fondness. ”That’s the reason you also fell for him, right?”

”Ara~ I don’t know what you’re talking about, Miss First Wife~” Gloria’s tone was light and teasing, her eyes glinting behind her glasses.

”He was just someone who was bored. Especially when he became too strong,” Liana said with a small, understanding smile and began walking, while the others following slowly behind her.

Gloria’s expression softened. ”Mm... yet he never once wanted to hurt any of us. Even when he was at his most mischievous, or when he was testing his strength, he was always careful. He never raised his voice in anger, never used his power to intimidate, and always... always made sure we felt safe with him.”

”Mm... that’s also the reason why I really care for him.” Liana smiled softly and kept walking.

”So, First Wife~?” Gloria nudged her glasses, whispering in a low voice meant only for Liana and Felicia to hear.

”Hmm? What is it, Gloria?”

”I believe it’s my turn today? Hmm?” Gloria gave Liana a meaningful side glance.

”I don’t know...” Liana smiled knowingly. ”Since I’m sure our husband wants to claim everyone, and we still have two virgins among us.” She glanced at Delya, who was now being playfully poked by Mimi, laughing before chasing after the giggling catgirl in a lighthearted game of tag. Then she turned her gaze toward Felicia, who was walking with slightly fidgeting hands and a deepening blush on her cheeks.

”Congratulations, Third Wife~ Now you’re officially one of us, too~” Gloria said, her tone warm and welcoming.

”Mm... I’m glad to have you with us,” Liana added, her voice gentle and sincere.

Meanwhile, in Francesca’s study room.

Francesca sat on the couch, legs crossed, leaning back with a serious, unreadable expression.

Javier stood before her, rubbing the back of his head with a sheepish grin.

”M... Mother...”

”Don’t you ’Mother’ me! Now, kneel.”

”Eh? Seriously, Mother?” Javier rubbed the back of his head, trying to flash his most charming, disarming smile.

”You better kneel now, or...” Francesca’s aura sharpened, filling the room with a heavy pressure that made the air itself feel thick and unmoving, ”...I will force you.”

”Umm... err... Mother? I... I don’t think... err...”

”Now!” Francesca’s glare intensified, and with a sudden, controlled burst of her aura, Javier was forced to his knees and pinned firmly to the floor.

Javier tried to push back with his full strength, but he couldn’t move an inch. It was like the weight of the sky itself was holding him down.

Whoa! She’s really serious? Crap, crap, crap.

”M... Mother.” Javier tried to smile, putting on his best pitiful, charming face, puppy-eyed look he could muster. ”I’m sorry. Please?”

”Sorry? Hmm?” Francesca’s aura grew heavier, pressing down on Javier like an invisible mountain.

”I... I don’t know what I did wrong, Mother,” Javier said, his voice strained under the pressure.

”You don’t know? Hmm?” Francesca’s voice was low, soft, and terrifyingly calm. ”Even after you have Liana, Gloria, Felicia, Delya, and Mimi... even after you’ve promised yourself to them, you still can’t help but turn on that ’charming prince’ act for every new girl you meet? Flirting with the maids, whispering sweet nothings, leaning in with that smile... as if their hearts are just toys for you to play with?”
