Reborn As Noble

Chapter 1111: A Room of Restricted Access ( 1111 )

”Eh?” Liana’s eyes widened. She looked at Gloria, who also looked up from her book in mild surprise.

”Did we do something wrong?” Gloria asked, adjusting her glasses as her mind raced through possible offenses.

”Nya? No! But it’s important, nya! Lianaaa! Let’s go! Or Mother-in-law will be mad at me!” Mimi tugged at Liana’s sleeve, her eyes wide and pleading, her tail swishing anxiously behind her.

Liana exhaled softly, smoothing her dress and offering a faint, reassuring smile. ”Alright... let’s go. We wouldn’t want to keep Lady Francesca waiting.” She stood gracefully, her movements calm despite the sudden summons.

”Mimi?” Javier asked, a hint of concern in his voice. ”Why is my mother suddenly calling all of you?”

”Nya? Secret~ Tehehe.” Mimi gave him a playful wink before bouncing toward the door.

Liana walked over to Javier and planted a soft, lingering kiss on his cheek. ”Young Master, we’ll be going.”

Gloria followed, placing a light kiss on his other cheek with a knowing smile. ”We won’t be long.”

Felicia joined in, her cheeks slightly flushed as she kissed his cheek softly. ”Husband... I’m going.”

Delya stood gracefully, cradling her chocolate jar. ”Danna-sama~” she said softly, planting a gentle kiss on his cheek before waving with her usual dreamy smile as she drifted toward the door.

”Alright. I’ll be at my personal workshop after I finish all of this,” Javier said with a smile, exhaling softly before returning to his paperwork as Liana and the others quietly left the room, the door closing softly behind them.

While looking at the paperwork, Javier’s thoughts drifted.

I wonder why Mother is calling for them? Not just one, but all five of them? Hmm... weird... Is it because she wants to bond with her future daughters-in-law? If that’s the case, then it’s good.

Ah... I forgot to ask Mimi where Mother is right now.

Javier leaned back in his chair and silently activated his mana-tracking skill, focusing on the familiar, warm, yet overwhelmingly powerful signature of Francesca.

Hmm? Did Mother suddenly... conceal her mana presence? I can’t seem to track her at all.

That’s weird, though. Before, I could... well, it wasn’t easy, but I could sense Father and Mother’s mana, even if it took effort. Back then, I wasn’t as strong as I am now.

But recently, both Father and Mother have become impossible to trace with my magic or mana-tracking skills.

Don’t tell me they’ve both grown stronger again...

If that’s the case, then I can only dream of ever matching their power... ever.

Javier snapped his fingers and opened his dimensional storage, pulling out a pair of sleek mana glasses and slipping them on.

Guess I’ll try my tiny spy-fly mini drones then.

He smirked and tapped the side of the glasses. Several miniature drones silently deployed from hidden compartments in the room, buzzing off to scout the manor and estate.

Let’s find where she is.

First, I should sent two of the drones to discreetly follow Liana and the others.

Through the feed in his mana glasses, he could see all his future wives walking together while chatting softly among themselves.

Ooh wee~ Look at that Ass!~ Mmph! Especially Liana’s. The way her hips sway with that calm, elegant grace.

Oh... nice bounce on Gloria’s breast~ She always walks with such confident poise.

Well, well, well... look at that shy catgirl’s hips. Damn, I still remember last night, how I took her virginity...

And now Delya and Mimi... man, I can’t wait to claim them too.

All the feeds from the drones suddenly vanished.

Javier tilted his head, tapping the side of his mana glasses repeatedly.

What just happened?

Did all my mini-drones break?

Is it an enemy?

No... I don’t think anyone even knows about these mini-drones. They’re my latest creation, and it’s impossible for all of them to fail simultaneously in the middle of a secure scan.

Javier suddenly shivered hard, a cold sweat breaking out on his brow.

He slipped off the mana glasses in a rush and stashed them back into his dimensional storage.

Gulp...

I know this feeling...

This is Mother’s power.

Damn...

She just released one subtle, targeted ping of her aura, a gentle but absolute wave of mana suppression, and all my mini-drones were either fried or completely disintegrated.

”Your Highness?” Varrick called out to him, concern evident in his voice.

”Hmm? Yes, Varrick?”

”Ah, pardon me, Your Highness. I just called you because you seemed lost in thought. I was wondering if everything was alright.”

”Ah, don’t worry about it, Varrick. Perhaps I’m just tired.” Javier paused, looking at the few documents left. ”Anyway, once we finish this last bit of paperwork, everyone can go and rest.”

”As you command, Your Highness,” Varrick and the others replied in unison, returning to their tasks with renewed focus.

Meanwhile.

Mimi was skipping ahead in excitement, humming softly while Liana and the others followed from behind.

”Mimi?” Liana called out to her, her tone gentle but carrying a note of quiet caution.

”Nya?” Mimi paused and turned, her tail swaying happily behind her.

”Where is Lady Francesca?”

”Nya? In her private study room.”

Liana and Gloria exchanged a glance, their expressions a mix of surprise and mild apprehension.

”You’re sure she’s calling us there?” Gloria asked, nudging her glasses as she studied Mimi’s cheerful expression.

”Nya? Yes! Mother-in-law is calling all of us to go there~”

”You’re sure, Mimi?” Gloria pressed, her voice soft but firm.

”Yes! I’m positive, nya! I just came from there before!” Mimi insisted, her ears twitching with innocent confidence.

Mimi tilted her head in confusion when she saw both Liana and Gloria stop walking.

”Hmm? Why did you two suddenly stop, nya?”

Liana’s face turned serious as she glanced at Mimi. ”You’re sure she’s calling all of us to there?”

”Yes... why?” Mimi asked, her tail slowing its sway as she sensed the shift in their demeanor.

Liana exhaled softly. Gloria nudged her glasses, her expression unusually grave. ”None of the maids are ever allowed into her private study room, Mimi. Except for Mrs. Erinette, the Special Battle Maid Unit, and her personal escorts. When the two of us were summoned there once before, we had to wait for direct clearance from Lady Francesca herself before we were permitted to enter.”

”Nya? Oh... Tehe~ Maybe it’s because the room is full of important books and magical artifacts, nya!” Mimi replied, still trying to brush off their concern with her usual cheerful innocence.
