Reborn As Noble

Chapter 675: A New Face in the Family ( 675 )

Thank the goddess the young master isn’t here...

She could already imagine the absolute chaos if Javier appeared in this place.

If his mere presence could cause the maids, female staff, and even female officers back in Armand to become restless and easily fall for him—what would happen in the Elven Kingdom?

It’d be a disaster.

”Liana?” Qamara called, tilting her head curiously.

”Hmm?”

”What’s with the silence? Something wrong?”

Liana shook her head slightly. ”Nothing...”

”Then tell us,” Enania leaned in eagerly, eyes sparkling. ”Does the Armand household have more handsome fellows like that Marcellus?”

Liana exhaled softly, accepting defeat.

”The second son of Lord Garius de Armand is Master Cedric de Armand. He’s known as the strongest paladin in the human kingdom—charismatic, honorable, and definitely handsome.”

The girls leaned even closer, eyes wide with excitement.

”The third is Master Aelius de Armand,” Liana continued. ”He’s neither a fighter nor a mage, but he’s a genius when it comes to economy and trade. Handsome in a refined, intellectual way.”

”So, which one is the most handsome?” Qamara and Enania both asked simultaneously, their voices bubbling with curiosity.

”I’ve listed them in order already,” Liana sighed, sipping her tea slowly. ”They’re all handsome in their own way, certainly comparable to Master Marcellus.”

She paused slightly, remembering one more.

”Lastly, there’s Master Heres. He’s quieter, keeps to himself. From my observations, he can definitely fight, but he rarely shows his true abilities. Still handsome, but he’s... reserved, more mysterious.”

The sisters exchanged glances, giggling excitedly among themselves.

Liana shook her head slowly.

I hope the young master never comes here...

”Liana?” Viessa leaned forward just a bit, studying her daughter’s face. ”Didn’t your employer have five sons and two daughters?”

”Hm? Ah...” Liana blinked, feigning mild surprise.

Viessa’s sharp eyes didn’t miss the slight pause. ”You only mentioned four sons earlier.”

Liana replied with a polite smile, masking her nervousness perfectly. ”I didn’t mention the youngest son because... well, he’s still a child.”

”Oh?” Viessa tilted her head with interest. ”If he’s still a kid, then there’s no need to bring him up for now. But how old is he?”

”Thirteen... soon fourteen.”

”And his name?”

”Umm... Javier De Armand,” Liana replied as casually as she could. ”Why?”

Viessa narrowed her eyes slightly but kept her tone light. ”Ah, nothing. It’s just... your aunt Mylezra mentioned something about the youngest son of Count Garius recently.”

She trailed off without finishing the thought, her gaze still on Liana.

Liana smiled—soft, controlled, trained from years of being in the Armand household.

Please don’t ask more... please...

Then someone knocked on the door.

Knock, knock...

”Come in,” Viessa said without looking.

The door gently creaked open.

Light footsteps followed, and a young girl—about Liana’s height—with flowing silver hair and striking emerald eyes stepped in. Her movements were calm, composed, graceful.

”Mother,” the girl greeted softly.

Liana blinked. Mother?

”Mom?” she asked, confused. ”Who is she?”

Viessa turned with a casual nod. ”Oh? Did I forget to mention? While you were running off from the household, I got pregnant. So... you’re no longer the youngest.”

Liana’s jaw dropped slightly, speechless.

”This is my youngest daughter,” Viessa continued proudly. ”Lyzia. She’s thirteen now. Lyzia, meet your sister—Liana.”

Lyzia stepped forward and gave the perfect elven courtesy—both hands delicately holding her skirt as she lowered into a small, graceful curtsy. ”Sister Liana. It’s a pleasure to meet you,” she said in a calm, melodic voice.

Liana stared at her new little sister, blinking rapidly.

Thirteen?

Silver hair... emerald eyes... graceful speech... poised presence...

Liana’s mind caught up a few seconds later.

She sighed.

Viessa placed a hand on Lyzia’s shoulder, smiling warmly.

”This means she’s just the right match for the youngest son of the Armand region, doesn’t it?”

Liana’s smile didn’t falter—graceful, calm, unshaken.

”I don’t know, Mother,” she replied gently. ”Maybe....”

Viessa arched a brow. ”You’ve been a good worker there, haven’t you? I’m sure you could request a proper meeting—nobles to nobles. We are of elven lineage, and Count Garius is a respected lord.”

”I’ll try asking, Mother,” Liana said, her voice perfectly even. ”But don’t expect too much. I’m only a personal maid, after all.”

”My~” Viessa chuckled softly. ”And personal maids in the Armand region are considered high-ranking, aren’t they?”

”...You could say that, Mother.”

She kept her tone polished, lips curled in a mild smile.

But inside her mind?

Meeting? With my young master? No. Nope. Absolutely not. Over my dead body.

My Javier? He’s mine. Only mine. He already has six candidates lined up for future wives—including me!

And now this... this perfectly-matched thirteen-year-old with silver hair and emerald eyes!?

No way. Not a chance.

Too perfect. It’s suspiciously perfect. It’s a trap. I’m not arranging anything. Period.

She sipped her herbal drink calmly.

And quietly screamed inside.

Liana quietly studied Lyzia’s face—her delicate lips, graceful eyes, and elegant silver hair... She quickly noticed that her youngest sister bore an uncanny resemblance to herself, the only real difference being... their assets.

She briefly glanced downward, then sighed inwardly.

...Lucky little brat.

But it made sense. After all, elves stop visibly aging around seventeen and stay that way until nearly a thousand years have passed. Lyzia simply had a slightly different hairstyle and a younger charm.

As Liana watched her new sister curiously, Lyzia suddenly walked over and sat next to her, smiling shyly. Her emerald eyes sparkled with excitement, and her hands trembled slightly with nerves.

Liana tilted her head, wondering what was happening. ”Lyzia—?”

Before she could finish, Lyzia suddenly wrapped her arms around her tightly in a spontaneous hug.

”Ehehe~!” the girl giggled brightly, pressing her cheek against Liana’s shoulder. ”I finally get to meet you, Sister Liana! Sister Azariah, Qamara, and Enania always talk about you—how we look alike with the same hair and eyes! I wanted to meet you so badly!”

Liana blinked, slightly startled, but her surprise melted quickly into a gentle smile. Without realizing it, she lifted a hand and softly patted her little sister’s back.

”...You’re too cute,” she murmured with a warm sigh, her heart quietly accepting this bubbly new addition to the family.
