A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 1247: Chapter 1248: Matrix Hub

Demon Doll, Paper Man, Poisonous Flame Centipede, Green.

Underneath the Coffin of Hope, in an inconspicuous gathering place within the Dimensional Esophagus, four super powerful life forms convene, varying in height and appearance, originating as rare mutated entities from different worlds.

”From now on, you are a Casket Ascender. Remember, everything we are here for is related to the matrix beneath our feet, which triggers dimensional gap phenomena. We are the Guardians of the Matrix, and under no circumstances can we leave its protective range. Even if a Dominator arrives, they must stay clear of the Coffin of Hope Gathering Place’s radiation zone.”

The harsh and fierce words of Demon Doll made Green’s heart shiver!

Even a Dominator must stay clear.

Though the Coffin of Hope Gathering Place doesn’t possess the great dominion like the Convergence Grounds of the Piercing Gate, it continuously selects and eliminates extreme strong beings, representing the highest level of strength and mystery within the Dimensional Esophagus. Though unlike the Convergence Grounds where with the flow of time, more strong beings gather attempting to hunt Dominators actively, the Depths of the Dimensional Esophagus are definitely not a place regular Dominators would desire to provoke.

”Alright, let’s talk about guarding the matrix later. With the joining of the Oblivion Sorcerer, we must give it our best shot this time; it might be my last chance. No matter what, I will give my all.”

The voice of Paper Man was firm and resolute, reflecting a readiness to give it all, willing to succeed or be doomed.

The Poisonous Flame Centipede remained silent. Despite the lack of a defined ranking in battles, between Demon Doll and Green it was definitely not a match. As for Paper Man, a mysterious figure that even the Demon Doll was wary of, its status was acknowledged.

As for itself, when facing creatures of flesh it was fine, but against elemental or rule-based life forms, only half of its strength could be exerted, making it consistently unfavored by Demon Doll, a fact known well by the Poisonous Flame Centipede.

”Alright, let’s begin!”

After exchanging glances, the four soared into the sky, heading to the peak of the gray mist.

Through the interference of dimensional gap rules disturbing the rules of the Dimensional Esophagus, the high sky of mist, unreachable by exiles, during this brief gap, could now be surpassed.

After two hourglass times, a massive shadow appeared above.

”Hiss...It’s so big?”

In Green’s eyes, the gigantic being seemed large enough to rival a small continent, comparable to the Ancient Sky City of Wizard World, and only slightly smaller than the Metal Destroyer Civilization Orbital Starship.

No!

Perhaps, this is a masterpiece of Wizard World!

As Green approached, the energy fluctuations from the Coffin of Hope made him aghast, finding it unbelievable, the magic array vibrations on the thick metal, accompanied by Mithril Magic Guide designs, weren’t they the fundamental materials of the Eternal Sky City?

The Coffin of Hope perpetually accumulates elemental energy from the natural world, and with its enormous volume, each day brings an unfathomable amount of energy. Although this is several ranks inferior to the Eternal Sky City’s Sky of Water Curtain and its energizing waterfall, it’s incomparable to individual energy.

Regarding the Time Casket hidden by the Sovereign of the Light of Hope within, the Eternal Sky City also has a time-related treasure, which is the Eternal Mechanical Clock based on the Heart of the Ancestors!

With all these clues, Green found himself uncertain behind his Truth Mask.

Could it be that this Coffin of Hope truly is a masterpiece of the Ancient Wizarding World?

Considering the Sovereign of the Light of Hope’s allegiance with the Ancient Wizarding World, forming contracts during life-and-death scenarios, this Dominator, born from the Dimensional Esophagus or known by sorcerers as the Retrogression of Flowing Light in the Illusory World, couldn’t it be possible for the Ancient Wizarding World to have spent a significant cost to create a special city in the sky for summoning and sacrifice?

”Those are the Coffin-opening Matrix Hubs. After discovering the Coffin of Hope, a powerful being from an unknown world from the Dimensional Esophagus first developed the matrix summoning dimensional gap phenomena, and then developed these Coffin-opening Matrix Hubs. Later, they gathered three top-level strong beings from the Dimensional Esophagus over a long time, successfully breaking free from the Dimensional Esophagus.”

Demon Doll pointed to a corner under the expansive shadow of the Coffin of Hope, explaining about a huge black barrier.

What stunned Green, surrounded by these four black barriers, is that they were enclosed with a layer of Temporal Fault.

Utilizing the Truth Mask’s insightfulness and knowledge of Wizard World’s magic arrays, while Green couldn’t fully comprehend the entire composition of the Coffin of Hope, he could sense without a doubt that these four barriers rigorously fit around the external extension points of the Coffin of Hope’s magic array, creating interference effects.

”Though I don’t know what kind of life form designed the matrix hubs, without a doubt, it must be a wise creature with extraordinary intelligence!”

Green murmured.

To devise the ground matrix that draws out the dimensional gap phenomena, then breakthrough Dimensional Esophagus rules multiple times within the short observation through dimensional gap phenomena, and design matrix hubs specifically aimed at the Coffin of Hope, the wisdom of the civilization behind this life form regarding energy and rules seems comparable to the Wizard World’s civilization framework.

At least for Green at this moment, reproducing and cracking the Coffin of Hope in such a process seems almost impossible.

Indirectly, the Dimensional Esophagus as one of the deepest and most illusory Endless World, traps different times, worlds’ civilization system strong beings converged here excessively terrifying.

”This is the Dimensional Esophagus, and encountering any kind of life form is not surprising. I still remember the early days when I arrived at the Dimensional Esophagus, there was still a remarkably dark elemental life attempting to ascend as Dominator inside the Esophagus. However, with the catastrophic baptism of the dimension war, eventually it was thoroughly digested by the Dimensional Esophagus.”

Green’s eyelids jumped wildly.

Ascending as a Dominator within the Dimensional Esophagus is comparable to forcefully extending the rules of Nine Revered Mountains to all gathering places, the difficulty can only be imagined!

Even exploring the Dimensional Esophagus Bone Continent already seems nearly impossible to Green, not to mention promoting the rules?

This level of difficulty probably surpasses Green’s intent to promote the Ancestor of Sorcerers’ plan in Wizard World!

At least, if Green truly decided to promote the Ancestor of Sorcerers plan, he could find some support among True Spirit Wizards, live within their biological evolution trend, crushing blockers, seize a chance for survival and complete True Spirit Dedication.

In the Dimensional Esophagus, which endlessly cycles through powerful beings from the Endless World, attempting to promote rules...

What’s more daunting is in the face of uncertain times’ Dimensional War Legion, each dimension war results in a thorough cleanse and digestion of the Dimensional Esophagus.

”Let’s begin, we don’t have much time. Each of us is to handle one of the matrix hubs, devoting full effort to unleash energy output.”

With resolve and reluctance, Paper Man took one last look at the gray misty rule haze of the Dimensional Esophagus beneath, whispered to the others, then flew towards a matrix hub under the shadow.

...

Twelve hourglass times passed.

Panting heavily...

Neither Green nor Demon Doll nor Poisonous Flame Centipede were in a stable state, after extreme energy output for twelve hourglass times to open the Coffin of Hope, yet ultimately they were unsuccessful.

Gathering once more, the Paper Man was nowhere to be seen.

”Let’s go. It seems it chose to burn its soul for one last fight at the end. Unfortunately, still fell short. Hopefully, in a thousand years, a decent Casket Ascender will join in.”

Demon Doll’s words, tinged with consolation, keenly aware of what this ”fell short” truly meant to Green.

”Yes.”

With a silent sigh, the three descended towards the Dimensional Esophagus ground.
