A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 1234: Chapter 1235: If I Were the Alliance Hierarch – Rules

Starfire Sprite, one of the many predators of the Piercing Gate.

”It’s over... The Demon Feather Phoenix was defeated by this predator. Is it the Oblivion Sorcerer who defeated the Turbid Lizard?”

Like a flickering blue ghost flame, the Starfire Sprite gazed at the gradually healing fissure of oblivion in the sky, its thoughts turbulent and unsettled, murmuring to the Hillstone Bear King beside it.

Unlike other predators, the Starfire Sprite often kept an eye on the dynamics within the Piercing Gate territory. Just as the human-faced spider avatar began to gather the Thunder Demon Eye, Clockwork Puppet, Ancient Heart, Oblivion Sorcerer, and Withered Ruminator, the Starfire Sprite noticed the anomaly and began observing the Piercing Gate territory in secret.

Indeed!

The Demon Feather Phoenix no longer perches on the demonized paulownia tree; the mountain sea awe stands silent!

Immediately, the Starfire Sprite rallied its friend, the Hillstone Bear King, and the two of them secretly watched, ready to react to any sudden changes.

As an older generation of predators, the Demon Feather Phoenix, although not the strongest, had a formidable presence in the aftermath of the Piercing Gate’s decline following the hunt of dominators. The newer generation of predators had not yet fully matured, and no monster-class beings had appeared, thus it held significant deterrent power.

”I said before that the Nether Spider King must be up to something. Every time I visited its Silk Underworld Palace, I felt uneasy. I never imagined that this Oblivion Sorcerer, who has only been at the Piercing Gate for about three thousand years, would defeat the Demon Feather Phoenix. The Silk Underworld Palace shows no energy fluctuations; it seems most of the gathered strong ones have been massacred by this Oblivion Sorcerer. If no new strong ones appear in the coming millennia, this Oblivion Sorcerer will be the undisputed strongest in the Piercing Gate, and perhaps will become the new leader of the Piercing Gate.”

The Hillstone Bear King appeared as a black crystal golem spirit.

Amidst the rock fissures grew brightly colored flowers, and it sat on the ground, ”creak,” ”creak,” chewing a handful of dirt.

Invisible from the Hillstone Bear King’s eyes was the rhythm of the Earthheart Stone, sighing softly.

”I just wonder if this Oblivion Sorcerer will obey the predator rules set by the previous generation: the Sun Scorpion Lady, Heaven Splitting Beast, and Somber Walker.”

The strongest being at the Piercing Gate has the power to set new rules, as is tradition!

Their status is akin to the World Master of a small world, the True Spirit Wizard of the Wizard World, and the highest life forms of the Wizarding Alliance. When their strength is recognized, they can use their will to establish new rules.

Such actions hold the inception of dominion; while they cannot enjoy the direct strength amplification from rules, they can enjoy the supreme rights bestowed by the rules, followed by lower beings as behavioral norms, creating an insurmountable chasm between the rule-maker and the rule-executor!

Rules are inherently advantageous to the will of the rule-maker.

”Who knows, let’s wait and see. If the rules are too harsh, we can temporarily leave the convergence ground and come back later. If not, we can roam other convergence grounds. With our current strength, self-preservation is more than adequate.”

With that, the Starfire Sprite, along with the Hillstone Bear King and hundreds of strong exiles from the convergence ground, quietly waited for the Oblivion Sorcerer to appear again after falling into the center of the Silk Underworld Palace.

This behavior already acknowledged Green’s absolute strength in the Piercing Gate!

...

Time passed, a month later.

Hoo...

Breathed out a turbid breath from his abdomen, Green, having recovered from the post-self-sealing technique’s weakness period to his basic strength, began the next round of energy accumulation. Seven-colored runes flowed over his Robe of Appearances, with light and darkness ceaselessly interchanging around him. With a victor’s poise, Green stood up from the fragmented ground of the Silk Underworld Palace.

He put away the Dominator’s Wood of the Clockwork Puppet, thinking these mechanical constructs might hold research value for Mechanical Wizards in the Wizard World. After a turn around the corners and a few dark chambers of the Silk Underworld Palace, collecting some peculiar items, he leisurely flew out of the Silk Underworld Palace.

All eyes on him!

He was fully aware of the gazes and surveillance from numerous exiles and other predators and had already prepared for it.

As a Stigma Sorcerer with great ambitions, Green had set the Ancestor of Sorcerers plan while still a lower sorcerer. Naturally, he had done detailed research and had an infinite yearning for dominator rule-making.

In the Wizard World, the First Ring Sorcerer, with the Tri-Color Sprite’s ”Tooth Fairy Tales,” pioneered the Nightmare Wizard Rules.

Henceforth, every subsequent Nightmare Wizard would be a boost to its growth. No matter how the new Nightmare True Spirit Wizard dedicates their true spirit, it will enhance and perfect the Nightmare Wizard Rules, making growth potential extremely high, potentially rivaling the Elemental Wizard System in the distant future.

Therefore, the rules established by the First Ring Sorcerer will affect the entire Nightmare World.

All the rules are geared towards benefiting the development of Nightmare Wizards, thereby benefiting oneself.

The rules of Wizard Currency by the Two Rings True Spirit Sorcerer, the Six Ring Algae Nature Protection rules by the Six Rings True Spirit Wizard, the rules of Light and Dark Wizards by the Seven Rings True Spirit Sorcerer, the Guangling Fortress rules by the Eight Rings True Spirit Wizard—all these rules indirectly contribute to the elemental perfection, augmentation, and enhancement for the One Ring True Spirit Sorcerer!

And the rules established by these True Spirit Sorcerers, apart from realizing tangible strength bonuses, represent a supreme authority high above.

This authority has become a code everyone adheres to.

Any defier will surely be punished by the rules, which exist in the subconsciousness of people and no longer require the judgment of the True Spirit Sorcerer. Others who follow the rules will naturally adjudicate, just like during the wizard period when Green violated the Holy Tower Rules for Laphie, and the Seven Rings True Spirit Sorcerer wouldn’t distract himself in the least.

What are the Holy Tower Rules? On the surface, they’re just stipulations and clauses.

Could words written on books or stone tablets bind or restrain creatures?

Yes, that’s the essence of rules. The rule-makers can only be those towering strong figures who imbue their advantageous wills into them. Once set, they gain the acknowledgment, adherence, and execution of thousands.

Even if someone attempts to challenge and break these rules, they must first grow gradually within the confines of these rules before trying to defeat the rule-makers!

”Heh heh heh heh...”

Green lets out a sinister and brutal wizard laugh.

Within the Convergence Grounds of the Piercing Gate, all Green needs is peace over the endless ages of the Piercing Gate.

As for the predators and exiles, they have nothing to do with Green and hold no significance. Thus, there’s no need to establish an idealistic rule but rather adhere to the raw, dark jungle evolution rules of the Endless World!

What Green needs is to enjoy longer periods of tranquility through his own strength, aligning with annihilation, free from frequent external disturbances during experimentation.

”From now on, abide by the rules of Nine Revered Mountains at the Piercing Gate!”

As Green speaks, the Nine Revered Mountains appear in his hand, expanding continuously. With a ”boom,” ”boom,” ”boom,” they fall in nine different directions.

”Nine Peaks of Reverence divide into Nine Revered; one revered peak is one revered heaven! At the summit of Nine Peaks, the First Peak can enjoy all the rights within the Convergence Grounds of the Piercing Gate. Only those neighboring low peaks can challenge the high peaks, and all exiles of the Piercing Gate can contest for the Ninth Revered Peak. Now... commence!”

Saying this, Green flies in the direction of his laboratory, which is the First Revered Peak direction, the symbol of absolute authority at the summit of Nine Peaks at the Piercing Gate!

However, Bai Lu has genuinely run out of reserves, despite being filled with endless motivation for extreme writing every day, from eight in the morning to one at night, five Chapters is the limit and no more can be coded, so today we can only first admire the ”If I Were Xiaobao” Hierarch; tomorrow, we’ll admire the Mirror Flower Water Moon J League Leader.

Please allow Bai Lu to indulge a bit now. Seven Hierarchs, just three more to reach ten; currently, there are four centurion alliances at the starting point, which means Bai Lu needs to write ten volumes of ”The Journey of the Wizard” to... Ha ha ha.

Alright, just kidding, don’t underestimate oneself nor overestimate oneself.

Additionally, today’s Bai Lu feels conflicted, celebrating the continual birth of hierarchs, adding prestige and glory, yet was amazed this morning for some time. Despite six Chapters yesterday, the subscription still decreased dramatically, dumbfounded—is there a monthly subscription cycle?

Boo hoo hoo, editors actually value average subscriptions more, for this, many authors pay high costs just to acquire a premium badge at the starting point.

This is Bai Lu’s most direct and supreme motivation as a newbie author.

So please support ”The Journey of the Wizard,” which also supports the fantasy channel at the starting point. Don’t let burgeoning fantasy novels fall completely, given the pace previously, ”The Journey of the Wizard” has hopes within two to three months to be premium. Bai Lu will give it her all, hoping for hope and motivation from everyone to Bai Lu!!

Originally planned to go hiking for leisure today or tomorrow due to the overwhelming pressure, there’s no one around to talk to, Bai Lu wants to chat, but there’s no time for the ranking next month.

Yet, since the hierarch of ”The Journey of the Wizard” descends, ideals must take precedence!

Please subscribe for support, acquire Godlight, maintain long-term subscription, and promote, grant Bai Lu hope and motivation for ”The Journey of the Wizard” to enter the premium channel!

The previous Chapters have been revised to over fifty Chapters; the public version during the newbie writing phase is expected to be completely revised by mid-next month, and the literary style has been greatly refined compared to the newbie phase!
