A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 1086: Chapter 1088: Punitive Squad

Crack!

”I’m so pissed off! Next time, I must get on that female dragon, roar roar roar roar...”

The metal door had just opened when a series of angry roars erupted, muffled and deep. Through the Truth Mask’s three-colored light eyes, Green saw an Abyssal Dragon shrouded in demonic qi, lounging on a knight’s shoulder. Sensing through the Mask of Truth, Green realized that this individual’s true body is exceptionally powerful.

This Level Five Stigmata Knight had a permanent layer of golden flames burning on him, a broad sword strapped to his back, and his face covered by a metal helmet, revealing only a pair of flaming eyes. After glancing around, his gaze fell on Green.

On the Truth Mask, Green’s six pairs of compound eyes blinked in a peculiar rhythm, incredibly eerie.

”So, this is the Oblivion Tower who will be executing the task with us?”

The Fire Traveling Sword asked, while the stubborn dragon on his shoulder protested irritably, ”Hey, did you hear me? I said after this task, I must take down that female dragon on my return, tsk tsk tsk, with her graceful figure, her glossy scales, and those voluptuous perfectly rounded ****, she’s practically heaven-sent for me - roar roar roar roar roar!”

”We’ll talk about it later!”

The knight replied, then continued looking at Green.

Suddenly, Green understood the division of labor within this four-person team.

Undoubtedly, the Decay Catastrophe Element Stigmata Sorcerer was in charge of widespread destruction, the Multi-colored Mechanical Stigmata Sorcerer responsible for concealed attacks or intelligence gathering, the Mountain Savage Strongman for frontal breakthroughs and enduring attacks, and this Fire Traveling Sword knight for powerful assaults. Coupled with his own World’s Veil breakthrough, this five-person team possessed world-overturning destructive might!

With everyone being Level Five, it was evident that the One Round True Spirit Sorcerer’s mission came with certain special requirements.

”Yes, indeed.”

Green nodded, speaking little, appearing quite mysterious. The Fire Traveling Sword also nodded at Green.

Buzz...

With a vast wave descending, Green’s heart tightened under the One Round True Spirit Sorcerer’s overarching will.

”Well, everyone is here.”

After a surge of energy within the vast sealing space below, a mechanical puppet carrying the will of a One Round True Spirit Sorcerer slowly dissolved from the metallic ground like mud. Green had encountered this True Spirit Sorcerer’s true body once during a mission in the Wailing Stone World, thus, he wasn’t deceived by the seemingly mundane Ant Queen-Level Mechanical Puppet avatar before him.

”Eternal True Spirit Sorcerer...”

”One Round True Spirit Sorcerer...”

”The Great One Round True Spirit Sorcerer...”

After everyone saluted, the mechanical puppet nodded and spoke to Green, ”The Oblivion Tower is the new teammate I specially recruited for you guys from the Second Ring Holy Tower. With his unique abilities, your mission execution should go smoother, but don’t view him as just a support wizard...”

Saying that, the mechanical puppet took out a mission scroll.

”Here is your mission target.”

Green and the others looked toward the scroll opened mid-air, an activated world?

Judging solely by the name, it’s clear that it’s an extraordinarily rule-bound and peculiar world.

Indeed, unsurprisingly, this team was the punitive squad under the command of the Eternal Uni-ring True Spirit Sorcerer, tasked with destroying worlds that defected to Skynet, aiming to deter other potential defectors.

As for the mission reward... Philosopher’s Stone!?

Green was shocked. What’s up with this mission reward? Could the Wizard World really have a Philosopher’s Stone?

Or was it an issue with the translation of ”Soul of the Dominator”?

”Oblivion Tower, this is your Stigmata Life Casket. With the depths of the Wizard World, a Level Five Stigmata Wizard is already the limit of Life Casket resurrection. Should you encounter mishaps during the mission, this Life Casket could offer you another chance at the Wizard’s journey.”

Amazed, Green accepted the Stigmata Life Casket.

It was merely a small box, seemingly unremarkable on the surface. Yet, while sensing it through the Mask of Truth, Green was subtly astonished at the fusion of mechanical and Wizard Runes within it, a knowledge system involving the microscopic world. Only under the Microscope of the Mechanistic Face of Truth could its secrets be discerned.

”The usual protocol, go to the back and claim the Philosopher’s Stone reward, disperse after the war, and summon you for the next task when needed.”

Saying that, the mechanical puppet avatar dissolved back into the metallic floor, vanishing.

”Phew... Let’s go. The rule of this activated world seems interesting; it didn’t expect to betray the Wizarding Alliance. Truly a path to self-destruction.”

Saying this, the Mountain Savage Strongman was the first to exit the sealed entrance of the Metal Hall, followed by everyone else with Green, somewhat puzzled, choosing to go along.

...

On the road to the war backup base.

”The Metal Fire Seed is already dissolved within the body of the Eternal Spirit Sorcerer of the Radiant Wheel. Every time the Eternal Spirit Sorcerer of the Radiant Wheel expends a bit of his True Spirit soul, the Metal Fire Seed automatically replenishes it, incessantly stripping him of control.”

Along the way, the five headed towards the depths of an underground space in the base, holding the mission scroll.

After pondering, Green finally decided to probe for information from the straightforward Mountain Savage Strongman, who indeed knew many obscure secrets from working long-term under the One Round True Spirit Sorcerer’s command!

”It’s not about whether the One Round True Spirit Sorcerer wants to leave this world; it’s about once leaving this world, and the consumed True Spirit soul is replenished by the Metal Fire Seed, fearing losing the opportunity to expel it permanently. This is a significant matter. As you know, the One Ring True Spirit Sorcerer concerns the Eternal Sky City’s depths, and nothing should go amiss; thus, he seals himself within this world, biding his time, stuck in such passivity.”

Hiss!

Unbelievably...

Skynet intends to control the One Ring True Spirit Sorcerer!? Incredible for the Civilization World; Metal Destroyer’s civilization’s understanding of mechanical force and metal mysteries has far surpassed that of the Wizard World.

This Metal Fire Seed...

”Then what’s the Philosopher’s Stone about? In alchemical research within the Wizard World, I consider myself at the forefront, yet I’ve never heard of the Wizard World birthing this legendary item.”

Green’s Truth Mask turned towards the Mountain Savage Strongman, asked deeply.

”Hahaha, it’s a real treasure. I’ve heard that True Spirit Wizards sealed the Trick Crystal Terminator, purified the Skynet control ability within, and the pure energy-filled remnant body functioned similarly to the Philosopher’s Stone in Alchemy, hence named the Philosopher’s Stone.”

Speaking this, the Mountain Savage Strongman pulled out a pink crystal stone the size of a thumb and, to Green’s astonishment, tossed it into his mouth, chewing ”crunch”, ”crunch”, ”crunch” before swallowing.

”For a Body Refining Sorcerer like me, with adequate high-energy materials, the greatest wonder of the Philosopher’s Stone is its ability to indefinitely reduce the time for passive evolution.”
