A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 1052: Chapter 1054: Pegasus Beir

Green had never considered the existence of a biological group dedicated to serving Foreign Evil Gods for a living.

These sinister, cunning, dark omnivorous creatures worship the strong to their core. Pegasus Beir has become accustomed to exchanging its humble, lowly status for the pleasure of the strong. With a short maturity period and relatively long life, Pegasus Beir has formed a populous biological group. Their dark wisdom and architectural accomplishments recruit and worship wandering Evil Gods for protection, frequently following these Evil Gods to invade the Foreign Domain to acquire more survival resources.

”I’ve never heard of this world’s name. From the information provided by this slave, it seems to not be weak, as it frequently invades Different Worlds.”

Under the Green Truth Mask, the Three-Colored Light Eyes flickered.

”However, I didn’t expect this World Fragment to be so far off course, not only deviating from the Ancient Dragon Great World but reaching the war’s rear of the Metal Destroyer’s civilization. This is troublesome! Fortunately, it is not a critical world to the Wizarding Alliance and the Metal Destroyer’s civilization. Hmm, should I return to the last World Fragment to find another path, or...”

After hesitating for a long time, Green ultimately chose to continue forward, performing an Elemental Teleport to turn into a series of afterimages and disappear into the horizon.

...

A little over half a month later.

”Stop!”

Under the eternally hanging, eerie green crescent moon sky, Green, disguised as a Pegasus Beir, walked along the muddy forest path, collecting information about this world’s rules.

While chatting idly with Xiao Ba, suddenly a group of Pegasus Beir stormed out of the woods, about forty or fifty in total, dressed in ragged armor, appearing tall and mighty, and barely reaching the First Level in biological hierarchy.

”I...I have nothing on me, please let me go.”

Green answered in the Pegasus Beir language, falling to the ground in fright and causing the Pegasus Beir to show a look of satisfaction, adopting a superior posture.

”Leave the bird on your shoulder!”

The leading Pegasus Beir, satisfied with Green’s response, pointed at Xiao Ba on Green’s shoulder.

Xiao Ba laughed heartily in Green’s soul.

”Wahaha, did you see that? Did you see that! Wherever Master Eight goes, he stands out, even these lowly creatures recognize Master Eight’s extraordinariness. Some Eight Brothers are born favorites of fate, envied by others. Life’s destiny, some without it, can only strive afterward. Sometimes I pity myself, really envy those who lost at the starting line of life but never give up pursuing, living so earnestly, compared to me, aside from you and Little Wan, just a grumpy woman at home...”

Three black lines appeared on Green’s forehead, lacking the mood to deal with this arrogant fellow. He grabbed Xiao Ba and handed it to the Pegasus Beir leader.

”If you like it, take it, do as you please with it.”

”Gah! Green Beast, you bastard...”

Xiao Ba’s cries in Wizard Language were incomprehensible to the Pegasus Beir, who merely thought the bird was squawking. The leader licked his lips and said, ”Don’t lump me with those tasteless lowly creatures, Lord Soul-devouring Flame Demon loves to roast and slowly eat brightly colored birds like this one, hahaha...”

A group of Pegasus Beir snickered and started to surround Green, reaching out their filthy hands towards Xiao Ba.

Bang!

Suddenly, Green flickered and sent the Pegasus Beir leader flying seven or eight meters before it fell dead. The other Pegasus Beir were so startled they forgot to flee, standing frozen in place.

...

Swiftly, Green became the leader of this tribe of over thirty thousand Pegasus Beir, who naturally adapted to Green replacing the former leader.

Inside the tribe, it wasn’t as filthy as Green once imagined. They even constructed a residence for the leader with hints of artistry.

”Tribute in a month? Hmm, looks like the Evil God worshiped by the thousands of Pegasus Beir tribes in this vast region should be this Soul-devouring Flame Demon.”

After seeing off a dozen old folks from the tribe, Green casually glanced at the Energy Baryte before him, the colorful caged birds, and a Forest Elf curled up in the corner.

With fair skin that fits human aesthetics, occasionally casting cold, hate-filled glances towards him, she was also a tribute. These Pegasus Beir possibly spared her because of her lush green hair.

With a sharp nail, he hooked the chin of the Forest Elf, forcing her to stand up from the corner, towering at least twice as tall as the transformed Pegasus Beir. Part fear-induced trembling, part unspeakable contempt.

”What world are you from?”

After careful examination and determination, Green confirmed this was a type of Forest Elf he’d never seen before, leisurely retracting his fingertip. Walking down from the barrel he was standing on, he questioned with his Soul Will.

Strong and ancient, filled with mysterious wisdom, the intuitive Forest Elf was startled.

”No need to disguise further, these lowly, filthy creatures haven’t seen your nature. Let me think, a level-three peak creature, suppressed entirely by a unique, highly poisonous nature within, weaker even than a Pegasus Beir, appearing in such a perilous Evil God Playground, hmm...”

Contemplating, Green raised an eyebrow, ”Could it be you came willingly?”

By being keen on emotional energies, he sensed the Forest Elf’s fear and realized he guessed right. Instantly becoming interested, he said, ”Oh? So, the next plunder target of this world is your Mother Realm?”

Unlike the Wizarding Alliance, the Metal Destroyers’ civilization rarely directly interferes with Aboriginal World lives, even consciously preserving the ecosystem.

In the Evil God Playground, being an extremely impoverished world, naturally, no Skynet resource gathering bases exist. This was Green’s reason for daring to enter this world.

”Who...who are you? You’re not a Pegasus Beir. These lowly, filthy creatures, who only flatter those Evil Gods, would never discover the Sorrow of the Other within me. What’s your purpose hiding under this Pegasus Beir skin!?”

The Forest Elf trembled in fear.

”Recently, the Wizard World and Metal Destroyers’ World war within this world cluster interests many great beings from surrounding clusters. I’m one among them, just passing by. If you can provide me some proper intelligence, maybe I wouldn’t mind helping you with some trouble, like this Soul-devouring Flame Demon. You probably don’t want to be eaten by it, do you? And me, not having eaten anything for decades, I’m quite hungry. Hoping this Flame Demon’s body is substantial enough, hehe...”

Green’s explanation added more mystery to his character.

After biting her lips and staring at Green for a long while, the Forest Elf finally made up her mind and said in a low voice, ”Skynet refuses to intervene in the Evil God Playground. Our surrounding worlds cannot endure the endless plundering by the Evil God Playground any longer and have sought assistance from the Wizard World, applying to join the Wizarding Alliance. And as long as the power of this Soul-devouring Flame Demon is diminished, delaying the Full Moon Gate from opening, we Nether Flower will await the mighty support of the Wizard World!”

Green’s body shook, his eyes fixed intensely on the Nether Flower Sprite. (To be continued. If you enjoyed this work, please vote for it on Qidian () with recommendations and monthly tickets. Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users can read on m..)
