A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 1069: Chapter 1071: Scepter of Hope

Under the dazzling curtain of Lever of Destiny’s seven-colored light, the fierce battle between the Infernal Giant Legion and the Evil God Beiga Army unfolds!

Regardless of being an evil god or a Beiga, only by obtaining a Crystal Core of a Purgatory Giant of the same level can they qualify to pass through this barrier and escape the blazing battleground of the Infernal Purgatory.

Ever since Black Soul silently passed through the Curtain of Lever of Destiny with the Crystal Core of the Purgatory Giant King slain by Blade Butcher, the entire Evil God Playground army was stirred. Everyone hoped to become that fortunate one.

With no way back, both sides were left with nothing but the gruesome fight. The stance of these two Dominators was clear—they aimed to annihilate every appearing Purgatory Giant here.

”Xi Xi...”

The Inferno Army Banner broke once again, and losing the left and right arms that followed him through the years, King Abaddon howled inexpressible grief. The furnace fire on his shoulder continued to blaze brilliantly, unyielding despite the sorrow of its master, Abaddon.

In all directions, the Infernal Giant Legion and the Evil God Beiga Army battled fiercely. Even without the Purgatory Giant King Abaddon, this Infernal Giant Legion was not inferior in strength to the evil god’s side, even if they held the numerical advantage.

Sounds of slaughter, roars, and agony engulfed the skies and ground. Centered around King Abaddon, brutal battles raged everywhere, with one after another giant corpse plummeting. These Purgatory Giant Crystal Cores became the most precious treasures on the battlefield.

”These fellows truly still concealed their fighting power. One, two, three, four, and in such a short time, four Purgatory Giant Kings have fallen. Hmm, the tactical prowess of the Seven Rings True Spirit Wizard is indeed remarkable.”

The armored Knight beside Green sneered softly, continuing, ”But to think they even brought out the ultimate treasure of Lever of Destiny for this plan. Under the power of the Lever of Destiny, this Purgatory Giant King Abaddon, despite his brute strength, couldn’t exert it. How unfortunate. I heard when Heisuo Tower fell, this Purgatory Giant King had once fought fiercely across realms with the Seven Rings True Spirit Wizard.”

Green nodded.

”The goal was indeed achieved. With these Beiga and evil gods serving as consumption, losses were significantly reduced.”

Speaking, Green glanced at King Abaddon, who had remained still for some time after unleashing a might of Infernal Purgatory. Even though Evil God Continent was a mid-level world with the restraining rules of the seven-colored light of Lever of Destiny, after enduring a full-force blow from this Purgatory Giant King, the continent endured geological collapses amidst tremors, sparking the second catastrophe following the blazing sun cataclysm.

In this way, apart from the special evil god rules, this world has virtually lost any other value...

”Keh keh, it really seems a bit too challenging for this Purgatory Giant King. Just a mere World Master facing two great True Spirit Wizards, the strongest two among the Elemental True Spirit Wizards to boot.”

Subsequently, Green glanced at another part of the sky, at the Amkes Sun God.

”Master, do you know what the story is behind this Amkes Sun God? That golden scepter seems quite extraordinary.”

The golden scepter seemed to have a subtle connection with the Sovereign Shroud of the Light of Hope within Green’s Robe of Appearances, certainly no ordinary item. Green, trying to find some clues, inquired indirectly from the shadowy Sword of Shadows, hidden as an infiltrator in Evil God Playground.

From under the metal helmet, a pair of composed, resolute eyes glanced at Green.

”Among the evil gods of the Purgatory Camp, this Amkes Sun God’s power is quite top-notch, but it actually has no relation to the Scepter of Hope. It’s merely a symbol of its royal power when it was still a World Master, perhaps a legacy artifact of the race, nothing more.”

Scepter of Hope!

Green’s mind swiftly linked a series of thoughts.

It is highly likely that this golden scepter has some connection with the Sovereign of the Light of Hope Green sought. Regardless, this time he must obtain it.

Upon this thought, Green executed an Elemental Teleport, heading towards the Amkes Sun God.

Currently, this Light Elemental Spirit was combating a Fifth-Level Purgatory Giant King. However, since both wielded the power of fire, neither’s offense nor defense could truly threaten the other. The Amkes Sun God, hoping to single-handedly slay the formidable Purgatory Giant, was indulging in a foolish dream.

”This Purgatory Giant is mine,”

Green growled deeply.

Under the pressure from the two Dominators in the sky, Amkes strained to kill the Purgatory Giant in a bid to escape this battleground. The intense offensive cost enormous energy. Seeing the Thunder Bone Emperor attempting to snatch it, how could he not be infuriated?

When the two first met, they sensed a repelling aura in each other, harboring enmity though it hadn’t erupted until now, when this Thunder Bone Emperor...

”Hmph! Since you wish to die, die here together then!”

Amkes Sun God’s wrathful will surged, the dazzling fireball around him emitted a beam of burning light, thumb-thick, slicing through the sky like the sharpest blade, instantly striking toward Green.

The beam of flame unknowingly grazed through several low-level Purgatory Giants and Beiga Army members. Some near several meters within range didn’t notice any sensation, but anyone touched by the beam was severed in two instantly!

Several Purgatory Giants inadvertently killed by Amkes had their Crystal Cores snatched and fiercely contested by the Beiga Army, triggering further internal skirmishes among these dark creatures.

Crackle!

Intertwining light and darkness, nerve-racking high-frequency vibration occurred. Under the precise trajectory assessment of the Face of Truth, black lightning clawed from all directions amidst the glaring light and struck at the fiery slicing attack, mutually extinguishing each other.

”Intense Light Irradiation!”

Transcending Green’s quickest limits, the Light Elemental Spirit appeared above Green almost like a space leap, with a monumental light beam descending. Though Green’s speed couldn’t match it, with the aid of the Face of Truth, the opponent’s movement trajectory was completely discerned, controlled within his grasp.

Raising the extreme abyss magic staff, the Demon Ancestor’s Arm grasping the extreme cold crystal, under the abundant and mighty Source of Magic Power of Green’s Fifth-Level Stigmata Wizard, the cold crystal’s demonic qi swiftly expanded, forming an ice mountain towering several hundred meters atop Green, refracting radiant light amidst the swirling demonic qi.

Roar!

At this moment, the Purgatory Giant previously combating Amkes rushed toward Amkes again, having no concept of the scenario where both Green and Amkes fought like mantis stalking the cicada unaware of the oriole behind.

”Damn it, they’re all just a bunch of brute fools!”

Amkes, dodging the brutish Fifth-Level Purgatory Giant’s attack, was immediately locked by black lightning again. Though furiously transformative, he was helpless, as Green and this Purgatory Giant developed some tacit synergy.

...

Time passed.

”Keh keh...”

With Green’s low laughter, Amkes Sun God was about to take further actions but suddenly screamed sharply. In the core of the shimmering Light Elemental Spirit, the tip of a shadowy sword pried out.

”You actually...”

The shadowy sword tip unleashed a bizarre power instantly, unfurling threads of black silk. With a ”poof,” the Light Elemental Spirit disintegrated, leaving only a golden brilliant scepter and a pure burning fireball at the scene.

Roar!

The Purgatory Giant and the Blade of Shadows simultaneously targeted the quietly burning fireball. The armored Knight seized the fireball, effortlessly engaging this Fifth-Level Purgatory Giant King, or perhaps... crushing him!

”This guy really hid his strength, reaching such a level, possibly stronger than that Shadow Bone Dragon.”

Under the Green Truth Mask, Green’s Three-Colored Light Eyes observed the shadowy sword, muttering to himself after catching the Staff of Hope’s Light.
