A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 1053: Chapter 1055: Soul-devouring Flame Demon

Green’s Skull Tribe is merely one of the lowest-ranking tribes among the thousands serving the Soul-devouring Flame Demon.

According to these Pegasus Beir, there are over a dozen small and large Evil Gods in the entire Evil God Playground, making it the strongest world among the dozens of surrounding worlds. Beyond the vast territories controlled by the Soul-devouring Flame Demon lie the neighboring Demonic Skin Ghost, Cyclops Troll King, and Amkes Sun God.

”Under the long-term coverage of Skynet, the World’s Power will be gradually destroyed by a form of waste pollution, losing the ability to birth a World Guardian, which is more devastating than the Wizard’s Will.”

After rolling up the precious parchment map in his hand, Green summoned Xiao Ba, who appeared on his shoulder with a sulky face, speaking in a peculiar tone: ”What do you want?!”

This fellow is still angry about what happened a few days ago.

”Alright, alright, this is my new palace, go have fun.”

After coaxing him a little, the Nether Flower Sprite behind saw Xiao Ba and seemed very fond of such vivid and beautiful creatures, her bright eyes sparkling.

Xiao Ba drooped its eyelids, glanced at the somewhat artistic palace, and grumbled: ”Hmph, don’t think Master Eight will forget what happened the other day!”

Then Xiao Ba looked at the Nether Flower Sprite: ”Who is this?”

Knock! Knock! Knock!

The sound of knocking on the door resounded as Green signaled for the seven tribal elders to enter. All were between the First and Second Level in strength, dignified in appearance, vastly different from the typically filthy Pegasus Beir. When they saw Xiao Ba on Green’s shoulder and the Nether Flower Sprite serving Green respectfully after unlocking her chains, they were momentarily stunned.

Green lazily sat on the stone chair, crossing his legs, the sharp, dark nails on his thumb tapping the Nether Flower Sprite behind him, declaring as if it were natural: ”I want this sprite.”

Woah!

At this, the Pegasus Beir elders practically exploded, their expressions changing drastically.

”Chief, it’s absolutely not allowed. These offerings were personally recorded by the Flame Demon Servant. This sprite accounts for half of the tribe’s offerings, I disagree.”

”If the lord wants to eat, you can change your taste temporarily. Once we follow the Soul-devouring Flame Demon through the Full Moon Gate to raid the Nether Flower World, you can have as many sprites like this as you want.”

”If the lord requires young and beautiful women to serve you, we can forcibly recruit them from the tribe. There’s no need to waste vitality on these lowly, filthy Foreign Domain sprites...”

”You bastard, I challenge you!”

Bang!

With one swing, the challenging elder was struck out of the hall, the sound of his fractured thigh bone wailing throughout the tribe. Green pulled the startled Nether Flower Sprite onto him, the fair-skinned, tall sprite ending up sitting in Green’s Pegasus Beir guise lap, for Green to toy with at will.

”I, the king, just like this sprite, what about it!?”

Xiao Ba immediately perked up, squinting its little eyes and laughing wickedly, lost in thought.

The Pegasus Beir elders exchanged glances. In the end, none spoke further. They discussed using other tribal wealth to replace the Nether Flower Sprite as tribute with Green, and then left with absurd expressions on their faces.

Once the room was empty, the Nether Flower Sprite quickly escaped from Green’s lap, her cheeks flushing red, covering her bosom with her hands, breath unsteady, glaring angrily at Xiao Ba. It took her a while to control her unusual emotions.

”Wahaha, come now, let Master Eight enjoy himself a bit more.”

Green glared at Xiao Ba: ”If you keep causing trouble, I’ll go tell Leafy, haha.”

...

A month later.

As the chieftain of the Skull Tribe, Green led a long procession of Pegasus Beir offering teams towards the Black Stone Mountain.

Whip cracks struck the thick leather of iron-skinned oxen, driving these heavy, lazy yet immensely strong creatures to pull the wooden carts, accompanying other tribal chieftains under the Soul-devouring Flame Demon’s command to pay homage, the procession stretching as far as the eye could see.

”Fools, hurry up! Any tribe that fails to offer sufficient tribute to the Soul-devouring Flame Demon by the appointed time will lose their entrance rights to this Full Moon Gate.”

A massive shadow cast by the sky flew overhead.

Green, served respectfully by the Nether Flower Sprite massaging his shoulders on the cart, looked up.

This shadow was a gigantic flame over ten meters tall, formless and shapeless, surrounded by a layer of negative energy from remnant souls burning off in all directions, flashing over a hundred meters above the convoy — a rather rare fire element life form.

”Heh heh heh, it seems this must be the clan of the Soul-devouring Flame Demon, its primal form as well.”

Xiao Ba was already accustomed to such rare element life forms. It wasn’t known how many such rare forms encountered extinction in the Ancient Wizard wars unwittingly.

Green shook the blood in his experimental test tube, then speaking to the Nether Flower Sprite behind him: ”Such misfortune, it seems this creature’s clan is highly immune to the Sorrow of the Other Poison Element in your body; even if you were eaten by that Soul-devouring Flame Demon, it couldn’t delay the Full Moon Gate time.”

...

Atop Black Stone Mountain, endless black smoke billowed from the volcano vents, obscuring the sunlight, which bore a resemblance to the Amkes time.

It was precisely this smoke that influenced the crescent moon of the Evil God Playground.

There, guarding the imposing palace, were over ten Level-3 Flame Demons. The Pegasus Beir tribal chieftains lowered their heads as they proceeded inside the hall comprised of countless skeletons and souls, the howling sound echoing in the hall.

On the throne high in the hall stood an altar, atop which a Level-3 pinnacle Flame Demon stood, encircled by ominous black clouds that melded with the hall’s aura, fearsome as it laughed heartily, overseeing cart after cart of Energy Baryte being pushed into the mouth of the Black Stone volcano.

A bustling crowd, thousands of Pegasus Beir leaders gathered inside the hall, each leading tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, or millions of followers, with the lowest being like the Pegasus Beir chieftain Green disguised as; Level-3 creatures were not scarce.

Feasting on meat, quaffing wine, making noise, exceedingly chaotic.

”Why aren’t you eating?”

Xiao Ba was gnawing contently on a huge piece of roasted meat from the tray on the table, looked at the pale-faced Nether Flower Sprite, and asked.

”Would you eat your own kind?”

The Nether Flower Sprite gritted her teeth.

Green sat indifferently, curiously observing this Skeleton Palace when suddenly an eyeball ”gurgling” rolled over his feet, and a third-level Pegasus Beir with a large machete beside him gave him a sinister grin: ”Let me have some fun with your servant.”

In meticulous observation of this peculiar palace, Green looked down at the eyeball at his feet, then at the third-level Pegasus Beir grinning at him. Coldly, he reached out his hand.

A wave of Repulsion.

Bang!

The third-level Pegasus Beir, in disbelief, was blasted back several hundred meters, landing at the feet of a Level-3 pinnacle Flame Demon atop the high altar in the hall.
