The Fantastic Little Farmer

Chapter 226: Chapter 226: Don’t Bully Honest People

”To this extent, you’ve caused severe psychological trauma to my cousin! It’s left a shadow over her—how is she supposed to do business in the future? And how are you going to compensate her for losing her first time?”

Yellow Hair’s older brother looked indignant as he pointed at Zhang Long. ”Buddy! I’m not wronging you, am I? If this were your sister, what would you think? You’d probably have hacked me with a knife by now!”

Zhang Long’s face flushed with shame. He didn’t have the face to respond. With no Experience, how could he have known things would turn out so seriously?

Zhang Yun listened impassively before cutting straight to the chase. ”What are your terms now?”

”At least three years in prison, compensation for her trauma, plus the price she could have originally fetched... Added all up, I was originally going to ask him for two hundred thousand...”

Two hundred thousand! No wonder Zhang Long had called for help. Let alone the balance on his phone, even if he emptied his bank cards and his entire family’s savings, he might not scrape together two hundred thousand.

Zhang Yun chuckled. ”And now? Seeing that he’s my friend, you’re going to ask for four hundred thousand?”

”Brother Yun, aren’t you just slapping me, Liu Bo, in the face? I didn’t know he was your friend. Otherwise, I would have arranged a few skilled girls to entertain you guys long ago.”

Yellow Hair’s brother, who called himself Liu Bo, let out a long sigh after his exaggerated speech. ”Listen, sis! We’ll give Brother Yun some face and offer a discount. One hundred thousand. I’ll personally cover the rest for you, alright?”

The woman in the pajamas looked up and nodded repeatedly in agreement.

”So, buddy, what do you think? What about you, Brother Yun?” Liu Bo asked Zhang Long, though he was mainly gauging Zhang Yun’s reaction.

Zhang Long looked over with pleading eyes. Driven into a corner earlier, he’d had no choice but to beg Zhang Yun for help. He never expected Zhang Yun’s reputation alone to shave half the price off; it was already a massive relief. Still, a hundred thousand was an astronomical sum to him. His only hope now was that Zhang Yun would lend it to him. But... to be honest, without a stable job and only relying on farm work and odd jobs, when would he ever be able to pay back a hundred thousand? The other party might be rich, but would he be willing to lend it?

”Liu Bo, right? Since this happened and he isn’t denying it, it’d be too cold-blooded of me to demand evidence from you, and this compensation isn’t too much. How about this? I see they’re pretty scared, so let them step out first, and we can discuss the details further...”

As soon as he said this, the expressions of Liu Bo and the other five men shifted.

”Brother Yun! Now that’s just unkind of you! Who doesn’t know you practice Martial Arts? If you want to talk to us alone, it’s obvious you’re just going to beat us up!”

Liu Bo patted his chest with a look of tragic heroism. ”Come on then! Just beat me up! Smash my head in, I don’t care! I won’t fight back!”

”Don’t any of you interfere!” he added, turning to the others. ”This has nothing to do with you. I protect my own people, and even if I get beaten to death, I’ll still stand up for her!”

Zhang Yun found it amusing. Was this guy possessed by the spirit of a dramatic actor? Had he actually moved himself to tears?

”Liu Bo, that’s enough. Stop bullying an honest man.”

Liu Bo immediately began bowing and clasping his hands in deference to Zhang Yun. ”Brother! You’re absolutely right, please don’t bully an honest man like me. I know you’re educated and you’ve figured out that those of us in this shady line of work wouldn’t dare call the cops. No one would believe us even if we spoke out. But we have to have a conscience! Consider this me begging you.”

Zhang Yun remained entirely unmoved. He hadn’t wanted to say too much in front of Zhang Long, but since Liu Bo was playing the victim card, he decided to lay it all out right there.

”Those discarded panties over there are your evidence, right? See for yourself how much blood is on them. There are even bloodstains on her legs. If it was really about losing her virginity, are you sure there’d be that much blood? It’s not that she’s inconvenient to take clients because her seal hasn’t been broken—she’s just on her period.

”Zhang Long is an honest guy with hardly any Experience, and he genuinely acted rashly. Once you guys scared him afterward, he just admitted to everything.”

As Zhang Yun spoke with calm assurance, the woman didn’t dare meet his eyes, and Liu Bo’s group averted their gazes.

”You think I’ve figured you wouldn’t dare call the police? That’s not what I meant. How about this? We go to the hospital for a check-up right now. If it’s confirmed her cherry was popped, I’ll take on the two hundred thousand myself and throw in an extra fifty thousand as compensation! But if it’s just her period, then I’ll consider this setup an Immortal’s honey trap. How does that sound?”

Zhang Yun’s absolute certainty made Zhang Long realize what was happening. Had he really been framed? But with his lack of Experience, he hadn’t known the difference...

Liu Bo smiled bitterly. ”Brother Zhang Yun, you’re just using your money and power to suppress me, aren’t you? I don’t have as much cash as you, and even if we all attacked together, we couldn’t beat you. Plus, your network with Boss Zhang is extensive. You’re just bullying an honest guy. What else can I do? I’ll just accept my bad luck! Those of us struggling at the bottom just aren’t treated like human beings...”

Whether she was frightened or genuinely touched by Liu Bo’s words, the woman began SOBBING loudly.

Zhang Yun sneered. ”Don’t play this game with me! Your brother got injured and hospitalized, so you started cooking up these crooked schemes. If it had just been him, you probably would have only shaken him down for a little bit, but seeing me come along with him, you decided to extort a massive sum. We’re going for a gynecological exam right now, and I’ll cover the fees. If it confirms what you said, I’ll pay the money and apologize. Are you still going to say I’m suppressing you?”

He then pointed at Zhang Long. ”Get dressed.”

Liu Bo grit his teeth and said in a low voice, ”You’re a badass! We just quietly make some flesh money and wouldn’t dare blow things up with you. Just go!”

The other men frowned, clearly unwilling to let it end like this, but none of them dared to clash head-on with Zhang Yun.

Zhang Long hurriedly found his clothes and put them on. Finally recovering a shred of his dignity, he carefully stepped behind Zhang Yun.

”In this matter, he was wrong, and it wasn’t fair to this girl. But even if you didn’t hit him, what you did just now was still intimidation and character assassination...”

Before Zhang Yun could finish, Liu Bo couldn’t hold back. ”What? Now that you’re forcefully taking him away, you want me to compensate him for emotional distress too? You’re pushing things too far!”

Zhang Yun shook his head. ”What I was going to say is that he has already paid the price. If you try to take revenge afterward, don’t blame me for being merciless. As for today’s matter, I will personally compensate this girl with five thousand.”

He took out his phone, gesturing for the woman to show her payment code. Having nowhere to keep a phone in her pajamas, she looked toward Liu Bo.

Resentfully, Liu Bo brought up his payment code. ”Give it to me, I’ll pass it on to her!”

Handing it to Liu Bo meant the woman would be lucky to see even a thousand or two afterward. However, Zhang Yun couldn’t afford to care about all that; even if the money went straight to her phone, she would likely still hand most of it over to Liu Bo.

”Brother Yun is amazing! Not only can you fight, but you’re also quite the smooth talker. We were clearly in the right, yet you still managed to scare us!” Having received the money, Liu Bo couldn’t resist dropping a sarcastic remark.

”Can we leave now?” Zhang Yun looked at them.

”Wait!” Liu Bo raised a hand.

Just as he was preparing to make a run for it, Zhang Long’s legs began to tremble at those words. He had heard that Zhang Yun was a great fighter now, but he had never seen it with his own eyes. When they were kids, Zhang Yun hadn’t been anything special. Right now, the other side had six men!

”What else do you want?” Zhang Yun looked at them calmly. Ever since the incident at the factory, he possessed absolute confidence. After his trip back with Ouyang Mingruo, he had experienced even more.

Liu Bo only felt that while Zhang Yun appeared calm on the surface, his gaze held a murderous intent that instilled a deep sense of dread!
