Daily Intelligence System: Don't Kill Me, Honey!

Chapter 1608: Chapter 370: Chen 94: My Turn to Strike (Part 2)

Chen Jie raised a sharp ethical issue.

The generational hierarchy is all messed up.

At this moment, Liu Caidie smiled and said, ”We discuss our own generations, not like our parents.”

Hearing this, Chen Jie was speechless, and he remembered when he was a child, he had a playmate his same age. However, in terms of hierarchy, he had to call him ”Grandpa.”

But he never called him that from childhood to adulthood; he always called him by name...

Older generations care about hierarchy, while younger ones don’t. The older generation cares because they want to gain authority from it, while the younger generation doesn’t care because it neither brings authority nor suppresses them.

So calling each other wrongly in private is normal.

While pondering these trivial issues, Han Ling’er waved to everyone, signaling to prepare to leave.

The temperature here was really too high. In a short time, everyone was sweating. Chen Jie estimated the air temperature to be around fifty or sixty degrees, like a sauna room, and the dried-up air was uncomfortable to breathe.

Fortunately, everyone present was a Martial Arts Master with physical capabilities far beyond the average person; otherwise, in this heat, someone might suffer from heatstroke soon.

With that thought, Han Ling’er pulled out something like a compass from her bosom. Chen Jie curiously asked, ”What’s in her hand?”

Upon hearing him, Liu Caidie paused, then said, ”Oh, it’s the Star Positioning Plate; it can find treasures in the Yin Yang Lotus Land within the Ruins.”

Chen Jie nodded in response; at this moment, Han Ling’er confirmed the direction, looked around, then said, ”Let’s go this way.”

Everyone immediately followed Han Ling’er, crossing this piece of land. Ahead appeared a small stream of blocking lava. Han Ling’er and others gathered strength and leaped over the area.

They continued forward. It was like a chessboard here; everyone seemed to be like pieces in the Molten Lava Hell, drifting with the flows.

The group kept jumping, jumping.

Suddenly, one person paused, followed by saying, ”I think I stepped on something.”

That sentence immediately froze everyone.

Everyone quickly looked down, seeing nothing on the ground but some glass-like crystallized formations from cooled magma.

They suspiciously looked at the person who spoke, and that person said, ”I felt something move under my foot just now.”

With those words, everyone froze again. The ground moved?

At this moment, the leader Han Ling’er’s face changed suddenly, as if she had realized something. Seeing her difficult expression, the group seemed to understand something.

”Flame Scorpion?”

With that, everyone’s expressions turned extremely unpleasant. Chen Jie looked at the group, puzzled — what Flame Scorpion?

Then Liu Caidie’s voice trembled, ”Unique creatures within the Ruins, living in the Molten Lava Hell, they love high temperatures, can live in the lava layers, and have strong destructive ability to spray magma.”

Spray magma?!

Chen Jie’s face was filled with surprise; isn’t this a bit too powerful?

Just as he thought about this, the speaking person suddenly jumped up, and then a large stone at his feet started to move.

Swish~

With the stone’s movement, stones fell off, revealing something bizarre. Looking closer, it turned out to be a scorpion.

But this scorpion was covered by a thick layer of stones.

Watching the heavy stones fall, everyone’s faces turned somewhat unpleasant.

Initially, they thought they could avoid dealing with these native creatures, but it seems they couldn’t escape it.

”Poof~”

As the scorpion shook its body, thick, fearsome magma spewed from its mouth, landing on the stone with a sizzle, sizzle, sizzle~

White smoke billowed up.

Seeing the scorpion like this, everyone was shocked.

Chen Jie was also drawn to the creature, watching when suddenly, the little scorpion seemed to notice the people around, and then sprayed a mouthful of magma in one direction.

The group, captivated by the Flame Scorpion’s movement, easily jumped across.

But this bold scorpion annoyed the robust guards; a guard waved his hand, drew a large knife and, with all his might, slashed down.

Clang!

Sparks erupted; the guard’s blade directly chopped the scorpion’s head off.

Seeing the scorpion’s head roll away, the guard’s face showed disdain — does this even qualify as a dangerous creature?

Thinking thus, Han Miaozhen shouted, ”Get out of the way quickly.”

With that shout, the next moment, the decapitated Flame Scorpion suddenly exploded, sparks and flying magma scattered everywhere.

Everyone was shocked by the flying magma, scrambling to dodge. Chen Jie also panicked and instinctively pulled Liu Caidie back.

The others dodged quickly too, except for the audacious guard who had cut the Flame Scorpion and thus found himself in the erupting magma’s range.

Bang, the guard was splashed all over with magma.

After being splashed, initially, the bold man didn’t react, but steam started crazily emanating from his entire body; it was because the magma and skin contact immediately formed a protective steam layer.
