Chapter 1041: Chapter 257: Prince of Huangzhou, Chen 94

The former Venerable of the Zoroastrian Sect, Peng Yingyu, launched a high-profile rebellion on Hubei Road.

He dispatched his six senior disciples and the great bandit Ni Wenjun to conquer the nine prefectures in Hubei overnight.

There was a strong inclination to march north to attack Shanxi.

At that moment, King Qi, Li Siqi, who had advanced westward, hurriedly diverted troops back to his base to defend Shanxi, fearing that Peng Yingyu might get carried away and invade his old stronghold.

However, after capturing the nine prefectures, Peng Yingyu took no further action.

He did not even invade the four prefectures of Huangzhou, Xianning, Ezhou, and Yellow Stone, also located in Hubei.

The Darugachis and Magistrates of the four prefectures were greatly alarmed and jointly petitioned the court, hoping the court would dispatch troops for aid and defense, but the court ignored them.

Instead, a document from the Ruyang Royal Mansion instructed them to hold out and stay united, promising to send someone to negotiate with Peng Yingyu to refrain from military action against the four prefectures.

As for military support, not a single soldier or horse was provided.

The Ruyang Royal Mansion was fully focused on moving north to deal with the Zoroastrian Sect and defending the royal family, as they were the royal family’s greatest supporters, inheritors of the golden bloodline of the Heavenly Khan.

It was rumored that a few days later, a Western Region monk, appearing like a mendicant, went to Hubei to discuss Buddhism with Master Peng Yingyu.

Eventually, both parties reached an agreement.

The monk turned and left, and the Ruyang Royal Mansion issued a decree telling local officials to refrain from aggressive actions, as the court would not send troops and Monk Peng would not attack them.

Two days later, Monk Peng suddenly announced to the outside world:

He was going to establish a nation in Hubei, with Xu Shouhui as the Emperor, himself as the State Preceptor, and Ni Wenjun and Zhao Pusheng as the Left and Right Marshals.

The nation was to be called Tianyuan, with the era name: Zhiping, and its capital was Xiangyang!

Immediately, the world was shocked, and Daqian was enraged.

It was said that Emperor Qianshun was almost furious enough to faint, intending to immediately dispatch troops for punishment, but upon turning around, he realized that even the doorstep was blocked by the Zoroastrian Sect, and the Great Capital might be lost by tomorrow.

Furious, he could only roar a few times in the court, causing some distress to the concubines around him.

To no avail.

As for Monk Peng establishing a nation in Hubei, King Qi, Li Siqi was extremely angry but maintained restraint. The Ruyang King had agreed to terms with Peng Yingyu, so there was no response or troop withdrawals.

This might have been the condition Peng Yingyu agreed to, not attacking the four prefectures of Huangzhou, Xianning, etc.

The founding of a nation in Hubei.

Meanwhile, Sichuan was also restless; it was said that a band of formidable bandits emerged, led by a man named Ming Yuzhen, who had a natural noble appearance with a double pupil in his left eye.

They attacked cities and villages in Shu, throwing the whole region into chaos, greatly involving Shu, and interestingly, they did it under the banner of the Maitreya Sect.

After Peng Yingyu founded his nation, this Ming Yuzhen immediately pledged allegiance to Tianyuan.

The newly appointed Xu Shouhui was so pleased that he directly conferred upon him the title of One Character Shoulder-to-shoulder King.

It was later rumored that Ming Yuzhen might be backed by the Tang Sect in Shu.

For a time, Hubei and Shu were echoing each other; the Tianyuan Empire was thus taking shape, firmly holding the southeast region, akin to the majestic presence of a tiger or a dragon.

In addition, various ambitious individuals across the regions began to emerge one after another.

For example, He Zhen in Guangdong, Chen Youding in Fujian.

It should be noted that Chen Youding is not related to Chen Jiusi. Although Chen Jiusi likely replaced the historical Chen Youliang in this time-space, he has no relation to Chen Youding.

They are not of the same lineage, but merely coincidentally share a surname.

Moreover, Chen Youding was also very powerful, skilled in martial arts, and an expert in swordsmanship, rumored to be a disciple of the Five Mountains Sword Sects.

However, he remained loyal to Daqian. During the period of the Zoroastrian Sect uprising, by suppressing the sect, he was promoted to the position of Pingxi Town Guardian. His pace of promotion was comparable to Chen Jiusi!

It can be said that during these turbulent times, heroes emerged!

At this moment, in Huangzhou Prefecture, at the Chen Residence.

It had been over two months since Wang Baobao left Huangzhou Prefecture, during which world events shifted rapidly, and heroes emerged.

Meanwhile, Chen Jie completed his initial capital accumulation.

After Wang Baobao left, Chen Jie was truly like a dragon entering the sea, embarking on a vast reform.

First, he convened a major meeting with his core associates.

The meeting included all the core personnel under Chen Jie’s command.

This included Chen Jie’s old guard and, of course, new members.

In summary, the forces currently under Chen Jie’s control are divided into official and civilian forces.

The official forces are as follows.

Chen Jie, the Garrison Commander, a standard sixth-rank minor official of the court, though his rank is small, his power is large, as Chen Jie almost controls all the military forces in Huangzhou Prefecture.

The forces that Huangzhou Prefecture currently have at their disposal are the Azure Dragon Guard, Black Cavalry, and the City Defense Army.

All three divisions of power are under Chen Jie’s control.

Among them, Chen Jie mainly set up three Hundred Households within the Azure Dragon Guard.

Two of the leaders are in the Wolf Smoke realm, and one is in the late-stage of Holding Core, at the Half-step Wolf Smoke.

Of these, Chen Jie serves as Garrison Commander, Azure Dragon Guard Commander, and chief executive.

Beneath him are three Hundred Households.

The first Hundred Household is Chen Xiaohu, overseeing a thousand elite Azure Dragon Guards, with Deputy General being an elder from the Yunquan Sword Sect, Lu Rong, at the Holding Core realm.

The second Hundred Household is Jin Yanzi, overseeing a thousand elite Azure Dragon Guards, with Deputy General being the Deputy Pavilion Master from Chunxiang Pavilion, Yu Baihe, at the Holding Core realm.

The third Hundred Household is a new promotion by Chen Jie, previously the Deputy Hall Master of Jiuxiao Hall, Xiong Guangrui, with Deputy General being another elder from the Yunquan Sword Sect, Zhao Zhong!
