Daily Intelligence System: Don't Kill Me, Honey!

Chapter 911: Chapter 235: Zhao Ya: Return My Chen 94

”By doing this, aren’t you bringing shame to your ancestors; don’t you feel ashamed?”

Upon hearing this, Zhong Guang, standing nearby, said: ”That’s right, Chen Jiusi, I see you’re a dignified man, why risk your life serving the Mulan people? Why not join our Holy Sect, overthrow the Mulan people’s rule, and let us Han people take charge, no longer suffering oppression.”

”Ha...”

Hearing their words, Chen Jie couldn’t help but laugh.

”Is the Zoroastrian Sect considered justice? Can the Zoroastrian Sect represent the Han people?”

”What do you mean?”

The two looked at Chen Jie, frowning together. A slight smile appeared on Chen Jie’s face as he said, ”Hehehe... Don’t understand? Let me tell you, you keep saying that the Zoroastrian Sect represents the Han people and is justice, but what have you actually done?”

”During the floods in Hubei, instead of thinking about disaster relief, you issued forced conscription orders, and even took away the seed grains meant for the people’s spring planting next year? Forcing the people to sell their children and daughters, unable to survive, just to follow you in rebellion. Is this what you call standing up for the Han people?”

Chen Jie snorted coldly: ”Open your eyes and take a look. The people of Huangzhou Prefecture can no longer survive; now people are already dying of hunger in Huanggang County, and soon more will starve to death.”

”Is this what you call standing up for the people?”

”Because of your so-called assistance, the people can’t even eat, soon corpses will lie everywhere from starvation, they might even be forced to cannibalize, and yet you pretend that you’re doing it for their sake, don’t you find it disgusting?”

”I support your rebellion to overthrow the Mulan people, but your ambition shouldn’t be built on the people’s suffering.”

”You say I’m a dog for the Mulan people, yes, I am working for them, because right now the Mulan people are trying to figure out how to help the people, while you are wondering how to make the people unable to survive, so they can serve you, help you conquer the world and fulfill your ambitions.”

”You ask who I’m helping? I help the people; whoever seeks benefits for the people, I support, I serve them.”

Chen Jie looked at the two and said. Hearing this, the two were stunned for a moment, then couldn’t help but burst out laughing: ”Hahaha... Ridiculous, ridiculous!”

The common people are just playthings in the hands of the powerful. In this struggle for the world, whether it’s the Daqian Court, the Zoroastrian Sect, or even those mighty Six Great Sects and Jianghu people, who would actually consider the common people?”

What are the common people? They are merely chives, providing nourishment for them.

As for saying that the struggle for the world is to let the common people live better lives.

Truly laughable, utterly naïve. No matter who sits on the throne, in the end, isn’t it always the common people who suffer?

The common people, are they anything other than toys in the hands of those in high positions?

It’s said: The rise of the common people brings suffering, their fall brings suffering, so what’s the use?

When has this world ever had anything to do with the common people?

Who conquers the world for the welfare of the common people, certainly not the Daqian Court, nor the Zoroastrian Sect. They fight for the world, claiming it’s for the rise of the Han people, but in truth, they just want to become Marquis and Prime Minister, to be superior beings.

As for the common people, once they become Emperor, those people remain the same, there’s no difference.

So Chen Jie’s words earlier made them laugh, indeed laughable, as if someone still truly cared about how the common people are. Impossible, in their eyes, what Chen Jie said can be summarized in one word.

Hypocrisy!

Extreme hypocrisy.

Seeing the two laugh like that, Chen Jie did not laugh.

Is there a desire to become Emperor? Without a doubt, Chen Jiusi wants to become Emperor.

However, before becoming Emperor, Chen Jie has one prerequisite, and that is to be an Emperor of a prosperous era.

If he were to be Emperor among a group of beggars, he would rather not take the position.

If he becomes Emperor, he must forge the image of prosperity, rather than being an Emperor of a group of refugees.

It is said that the rise of the common people brings suffering, and their fall brings suffering, but Chen Jie hopes for the rise of the people’s peace, and if they perish, so be it, none of his business~

Looking at the two stubborn members of the Zoroastrian Sect laughing out loud.

Chen Jie shook his head, and as for the Zoroastrian Sect, he was thoroughly disappointed. Although they brandished the banner of caring for the Han people, in reality, it was just a shortsighted peasant uprising.

Their framework is just a guild added to a peasant army.

Perhaps the founders had a good heart, genuinely wanting to overthrow the tyranny of the Daqian, but as the organization has developed to this stage.

Problems within the organization have emerged; internal members are too diverse, and management is poor, lacking a good organizational structure, making it difficult for the Zoroastrian Sect Master to manage those under him.

Especially concerning discipline, it can be said they have chosen a narrow path.

This is also why after Chen Jie became the Gang Leader of the Fishing Guild, the first thing he did was to establish a good system, organizational structure, rewards and penalties.

Only by having all these organizational frameworks in place while the organization is still weak, can orders be followed in the future when it becomes strong.

Chen Jie waited until the two had laughed enough, then looked at them and said: ”Gentlemen, have you laughed enough?”

Upon hearing this, Chu Tian and Zhong Guang restrained their laughter.

Seeing this, Chen Jie said: ”Do you have any other questions?”

Chu Tian looked at Chen Jie and said: ”Chen Jiusi, you are really naive. The common people are just tools in our hands; if you continue this way, you will accomplish nothing.”

Chen Jie said: ”Whether it accomplishes anything or not doesn’t matter; what matters is having a clear conscience. Prefect Chu, I don’t know your background; if you were born to a farmer, you should know that the policies you issue to the County Magistrates are behind bloody scenes, and how many people will die because of them.”
