Chapter 431: Chapter 155 What, How Is This Possible! (10,000 Characters Asking for Subscriptions)_2

Zhao San said, ”Young master, you didn’t win because you’re stronger, but because your sword is sharp. If you dare, drop the Liu Song Sword and fight me!”

Liu Song frowned upon hearing this.

The Black-faced Commander shouted, ”Zhao San, stop your sweet-talking, you traitor. The young master personally entering the arena was already honoring you. If I were you, I would have surrendered long ago.”

Hearing this, Zhao San said, ”Young master, put down the Liu Song Sword. If you can still beat me, I will be convinced!”

Upon hearing this, Liu Song narrowed his eyes and said, ”Zhao San, stop your tricky words. Prepare to die!”

”Ah, can’t fool you, so die!”

Zhao San raised his hand, and with a swoosh, a poisoned crossbow arrow flew out from his sleeve.

”Young master, be careful, Sleeve Arrow!”

At that moment, a murderous look flashed in Liu Song’s eyes. ”Playing dirty at the brink of death, die!”

Swoosh!

Liu Song’s sword struck down, and with a swoosh, the Sleeve Arrow flew out, directly meeting Liu Song’s sword and was split into two.

Seeing this, Zhao San thought to himself, ”What a sharp sword!”

At that moment, as Liu Song prepared to charge over, Zhao San, seeing this, paled and shouted, ”Young master, wait!”

”Wait my ass, die, young master!”

”Young master, it’s unfair to fight two against one, let me catch my breath!”

Zhao San shouted, thinking his words were futile, but to his surprise, Liu Song actually paused and then said, ”Fine, I’ll ask you, are you sent by Nan Batian?”

”No, I was sent by Chen Jiusi.”

”Huh?”

Liu Song was taken aback and then realized, ”Haha, indeed a Death Soldier. Are you planning to assassinate me and then claim you were sent by Chen Jiusi, causing my father and Chen Jiusi to fight to death, while Nan Batian reaps the benefits?”

Zhao San sighed to himself, ”Pity, it’s all ruined by that damn Chen Jiusi. How could he see through the plan!”

Up to now, Zhao San couldn’t understand how Chen Jie could see through such a well-planned strategy.

The key to this strategy was firstly, Chen Jie had to come, secondly, his assassination had to succeed, and thirdly, he must claim he was Chen Jiusi’s man.

If any part of this failed, the plan would not succeed.

And most importantly, it was himself, as a Death Soldier trained by Nan Batian from youth, had received the best resources, and upon completion, was tasked with such missions.

This mission was supposed to go like this: Chen Jiusi arrives, regardless of what he says, I would instigate a fight and then take the chance to strike Liu Song from behind.

Then, whether I am killed on the spot or captured and taken to the Guild Cao Headquarters for Elder Liu to personally interrogate me under severe torture, I must insist I am Chen Jiusi’s man, then find a way to kill myself, leaving no proof.

Thus, the situation would be like mud in one’s pants, not shit but still shit, leaving Chen Jiusi utterly defenseless, forcing Elder Liu to make a harsh decision.

Some say Elder Liu is rational, bullshit!

Firstly, Elder Liu is human. Liu Song is his most valued son, and his only son. With Liu Song dead, the Liu family lineage would end, a complete extinction. Who could remain rational?

No way to stay rational. Elder Liu won’t think Chen Jie is innocent. He might directly confront Chen Jie, thereby ensuring our master’s plan succeeds. It was supposed to be the perfect plan.

But now everything has been seen through. Who would have thought Chen Jiusi could unravel the plan? How did he figure it out?

And even if he did unravel it, how did he manage to spread the word, knowing that tonight, before the operation, he should have been placed under house arrest at the Fishing Guild Headquarters with no chance to leak the plan?

Besides, even if the plan leaked, how could it be transmitted here to Xiantao Town, an hour’s journey from Li City, in such short time?

And how could Chen Jiusi possibly have planted spies within Guild Cao’s ranks ahead of time? All of this, utterly inconceivable. He’s only been in charge for half a year.

How could he possibly have orchestrated such intricate arrangements? Knowing that many setups take years to establish, like me, who infiltrated Guild Cao a year and a half ago, recently receiving the task.

Is Chen Jiusi a god or a demon? How could he possibly have completed such a sophisticated setup so easily?

Is he even human?

Thinking about it made Zhao San’s scalp tingle. Such a being was his master’s adversary. Regrettably, now there was no way to communicate this information; otherwise, he would have done everything possible to let his master know that Chen Jiusi was a dangerous man who must be eliminated.

Eliminate him at all costs!

Thinking this, Zhao San looked around, searching for a way to escape.

However, at that moment, the Black-faced Commander blocked all his escape routes.

Then Liu Song looked at him and said, ”Why so quiet now, won’t admit you’re Nan Batian’s man, huh?”

”Heh, young master, I am Chen Jiusi’s man!”

Liu Song said, ”Fine, so defiant even when facing death, let me see if I can’t break you!”

Hearing this, Zhao San said, ”Young master, hear me out. Chen Jiusi is your biggest enemy. He is the most sinister, and I truly am his man. He placed me by your side to assassinate you!”
