The Versatile Master Artist

This statement left the assistant standing frozen on the spot.

The words they hadn’t finished speaking caught in their mouth, unsure how to respond to the artist’s self-talk.

The artist just thought of themselves as a failure!

Why?

They’re all Name Family in Painting Knife Painting, and regardless of the differences in Painting Techniques, how huge can they be?

Even if Detective Cat and Professor Boggs indeed painted better.

It should only be negligible minutiae between scoring 95 and 98 on the report card.

Facing the prior rebuke from Master Jean Arnou, the assistant couldn’t possibly oppose the employer in argument.

However, in his heart, disregarding Detective Cat, compared to the boring and staid Professor Boggs, the assistant actually favored Lady Anya more.

The advantage in this innovative Painting Technique should be enough to compensate for the slight disadvantages in Technique.

Why did she suddenly give up on herself!

”But... you haven’t finished this piece yet.”

The assistant spread their hands, attempting to persuade something.

”Just like I told you earlier, it’s not important anymore; this piece will definitely not achieve the effect of opening Tony’s mind.”

Lady Anya’s tone was not overly dejected; it sounded more like merely stating an unavoidable, objective fact.

The assistant suddenly realized.

Facing the trampled deer hoof print just now, Lady Anya’s ”not important” wasn’t referring to the damaged footprint; it was that the entire artwork had lost its meaning.

”Classical art emphasizes Technique, modern art emphasizes form, and avant-garde art emphasizes concept.”

”I’ve heard that Eastern artists have a saying in painting called ’painting the dragon’s eyes,’ which can enhance the artistic conception and style of a painting with a few finishing touches. I’m unsure of the credibility of this saying; at least I don’t possess this Magic Power, nor does this piece.”

Anya finished brushing the parrot’s feathers and then removed her gloves.

”Out of respect for art, I will still complete this ’Love of Pets’ in its entirety within these days, but I can sense that Tony doesn’t like my painting.”

”Perhaps when this grand work is entirely complete, the outcome will be different, just like evaluating a movie’s quality requires seeing the ending.”

The assistant was still stubbornly persuading.

The female artist threw the gloves onto a sheet of plastic beside her, turned her head to gaze at Tony nearby, and softly spoke.

”Modern Art differs from movies; its essence lies in the creative process.”

”If the process of creating this painting fails to ignite Mr. Tony’s curiosity and passion for art, then whether there are more or fewer animals on this wall in the end, the conclusion won’t change.”

The female artist walked over, like a compassionate nun, wrapped her arms around Tony’s head, and helplessly patted his back.

”Poor child, I’m truly sorry. I heard you’re the same age as me, but I probably can’t do much to help you.”

Anya happened to be forty-one this year.

She looked noticeably younger than Tony, wearing only a T-shirt with the slogan ”Learn Painting Rather Than Lying Down” as stylish pajamas and gray beach shorts in the studio, her shapely thighs exposed outside, standing barefoot on the ground.

This blonde female artist wasn’t considered beautiful, but her eyes were deep, occasionally childlike, with a very feminine charm.

The assistant often liked to hang around Anya’s studio.

Not just to watch her art creation process, he also harbored thoughts of asking the single-minded artist sister out for coffee.

Regrettably, Tony was just an immature child.

Such a charming embrace that stirred the assistant’s heart instead made Tony retreat in fear, accidentally toppling a palette at his feet with a step.

”It’s just like this. I’d rather see him holding paint and playing with mud there than standing blankly beside me. Playing with mud means he still has curiosity about external things. Standing blankly here, just a puppet, I can’t establish any spiritual communication with him.”

Lady Anya shook her head and sighed.

”Painting Knife Painting is a very suitable entry-level Painting Technique.”

”I communicated with Dr. Jin, believing that even if Tony scribbled symbols like nonsense, I could try to amplify the Emotion he expressed through painting exchange.”

”I can transform mud into a fairy-tale castle, unwanted deer tracks into a burning sun. Even chaotic lines in children’s graffiti, I can transform into meteors sliding across the universe sky. Except when he paints nothing, then I receive no feedback.”

”100 times 1 is 100, 100 times 0 is still 0, Tony is like a pale sculpture, that’s why I attempted unsuccessfully. Our brainwaves aren’t on the same channel at all.”

Anya pointed to a pattern at the bottom of the wall.

”This is my final attempt, but still not very successful.”

At the floor’s entrance, there was a clear string of small cat paw prints, with petal-like imprints of the little cat adorned by rainbow-hued arcs.

It led from the entrance straight to the middle of the wall.

A gray cat lay there, leisurely and pretty, turning its head with ink-colored pupils gazing into the depths of the void.

”It’s truly an adorable little thing, isn’t it?”

Anya crossed her arms, scrutinizing the picture on the wall, ”Have you seen that farewell video, I feel my heart shattered. Do you think my painting is similar?”
