The Versatile Master Artist

This female artist’s painting style is varied; she is not only proficient in painting knife painting but is also famous for her finger painting.

She has also created a feminist artwork titled ”Kitchen, Bedroom, Sky” using household tools like spatulas, egg beaters, and makeup brushes.

”Ah, sorry, sorry, my apologies!”

The assistant bowed his head, noticing his foot stepping on an irregular purplish-red patch.

Could this be the deer hoofprint Lady Anya mentioned?

His foot jerked as if he had stepped on a landmine, quickly lifting it before hesitantly moving it to a blank spot instead.

Honestly, this maneuver isn’t easy.

Because the floor is covered with all sorts of color patches.

The assistant had to curl his big toe, balancing as if he were doing a ballet.

”I’m really sorry, I’m really sorry.”

He let out a groan.

Damaging an artist’s work, whether completed or not, is the biggest taboo in this line of work.

Regardless of status, although he accidentally stepped on a meaningless color patch, even if Lady Anya angrily dumped that bucket of paint on his head right now.

Jean Arnou wouldn’t say anything, but would earnestly apologize instead.

However, such things happen often when dealing with art; having handled many art pieces, it’s always hard to avoid.

Dongxia, a super-realist oil painting artist whose work exceeds one million dollars, had her canvas stepped on by a student in the studio during creation.

The biggest mishap was by K. Kerkorian, the owner of MGM Casino, who sold a Picasso piece for 96 million US dollars; before the insurance company took it away, he invited friends and family for one last viewing.

At the tasting event, the Las Vegas gambling mogul’s hand shook, unsteadily punching a hole in the nearly one billion dollar artwork.

The masterpiece instantly turned into a restoration piece.

”It’s okay, it doesn’t matter.”

Perhaps it was the assistant’s pretty words at work; compared to other typically irritable artists, Lady Anya was much easier to talk to.

She lightly touched the paint in the bucket at her feet with the painting knife, squatted down, and wiped it on the carpet casually.

The ruined hoofprint quickly transformed into a brilliant sun; this showcased a master level painting knife technique, truly having the skill to revive things.

Don’t ask why there’s a sun on the floor.

For an artist engaging in modern art, whether it’s reasonable doesn’t matter at all.

”It’s beautiful. Tony will like this painting too, right?”

The assistant backed away slightly, distancing himself from the floor’s densely colored area before appraising the wall with a scrutinizing gaze.

Everywhere is adorned with painted patterns.

But the focus of the entire space is the white wall facing the entrance.

The moment any visitor enters the room, their focus is drawn to it.

Ordinarily, oil paintings over 48 cm x 72 cm are considered quite large; if the width exceeds 100 cm, there’s no standard frame available.

The grandest large-screen paintings usually don’t surpass two or three meters.

But without the canvas size limitation,

Anya’s work spread across the entire wall of several square meters.

A sea of delightful animals.

Parrots flapping wings, hounds chasing one another, gray rabbits gnawing carrots and onions, while a group of hamsters is secretly munching the rabbits’ veggies...

Thousands of colorful dots smeared with fingers and rhomboid color bands drawn by painting knives, collage into a scene of an animal paradise.

She engages in modern art.

Modern art emphasizes form, not content.

Among Lady Anya’s renowned works, more than half are abstract compositions of lines and colors that leave spectators bewildered.

The assistant once worried the complexity of her works might be too profound for Tony.

Now he realizes he was overthinking.

A great artist can have her own approach even with light and fresh creations.

His artistic vision isn’t the most professional, yet he finds these animal figures adorable without being childish, fresh without being vulgar — a truly skilled craftsmanship.

What is even more impressive is that this is a collaborative work.

One creator is, of course, Lady Anya before him, and the other...

The assistant glanced at the dazed big kid staring at the paint bucket in the corner.

Tony, his head encased in a transparent hood, barefoot with paint smeared messily on him.

The big head drooping down.

The shallow wrinkles on the forehead indicated that, although his intelligence remains at a child’s level,

Forty-one years have started to carve the marks of middle-aged decline on him.

If you don’t meet those somewhat lost big eyes, the scene in front of you actually has quite an artistic aura, like a philosopher deeply pondering a mural.

”Genius creativity.”

The assistant sincerely applauded Lady Anya’s master-level idea.

Dr. Jin Anqing had not only conducted online video conferences with Detective Cat and her agent, but before Professor Boggs and Lady Anya arrived in New Zealand,

He also held detailed discussions with the two artists to convey similar concepts to them.

”A work impactful enough for Tony.” — Faced with this proposition, each of the three artists had their own approach.

The collaborative creation was Lady Anya’s answer.

”Let Tony participate as a creator in the painting process. The realization from appreciating a painting is never as profound as the experience of creating one from scratch. What audience could be more moved by the artwork than the artist himself?”

This is truly an idea that makes one involuntarily applaud, a huge advantage Detective Cat, who works remotely, never could possess.

Tony has language difficulties, making communication hard.

Yet, as long as people live in the world, every action, every smile, every glance, is a form of body language, a true expression of inner emotion.

If Lady Anya adequately guides him alongside, painting a picture together with Tony becomes a bridge to enter his inner world.

Allowing him to feel the beauty of an art piece.

The assistant contemplated the room in front of him.

”Which parts, those patterns were completed by Mr. Tony?”

What could be confirmed were the big footprints around the mats next to Tony, likely made by him since Lady Anya’s feet are much smaller.

Additionally, some handprints on the wall were possibly Tony’s handiwork.

The assistant focused his gaze on the mural where every pattern looked beautiful, the art prowess seemed non-trivial, as if something a childlike, innocent kid couldn’t just casually draw.

Perhaps Lady Anya refined Tony’s doodles into this.

”Do you feel the picture is too tidy for a piece involving an autistic child?”

Lady Anna continued to refine the big parrot with her fingers, as if reading minds, she asked.

”That’s because your painting skills are high. You can make messy original strokes seem refined.” The assistant replied tactfully.

”No need to flatter me, I’m aware of my abilities, still immature compared to Professor Boggs, who has immersed in this painting technique for half a century. I’m also no match for Detective Cat’s stunning gift and talent, therefore I sought a different path, to paint differently.”

Lady Anya didn’t seem highly spirited, she turned to look at Tony, saying softly.

”If the result unexpectedly, I failed.”

said the female artist.
