Strongest Mage with the Lust system

Chapter 931: Late Night Visit

”Hungry?” Max muttered and just as he was about to think what he could give the little guy to eat, his eyes flashed.

’It can’t be a coincidence that it woke up just now.’ he thought, his gaze landing on the Fire Essence Stone.

’Is it a Fire Elemental Beast?’ he wondered before he shook his head and sent the Fire Essence Stone into the Beast Storage Bag without hesitation, placing it right next to its mouth.

He then waited to see whether his guess was really right.

For a whole minute, nothing happened. Just as he was starting to think that he had guessed wrong, the snake’s mouth opened a little and the Fire Essence Stone slowly floated in the air before flying into the opened mouth.

Shua!

The mouth closed and the space became still like before.

After waiting for a while and not noticing any change, Max withdrew his Bloodline Sense and thought, ’Should I ask Elder Milo’s help to remove the foreign energies from its wounds?’

’Yeah. I can do that. But first, I have to prepare a suitable payment for his assistance.’ Deciding this, he took a Spirit Replenishment Pill and began meditating.

When his mental energy was fully recovered, he began making talismans. This time, he was being very careful, not wanting to waste the Fire Energy in the Traces too much.

...

Six hours later, he had used all the stack of talisman paper and the talisman ink completely. The result—17 Mid Grade, Tier 4 Fire Elemental Talismans.

He was very satisfied with this result, but he had pushed himself a little too much. His mental energy was almost completely exhausted and he was on the verge of passing out.

However, he wasn’t worried since he still had a Spirit Replenishment Pill. He took it and began meditating.

...

Phew!

He exhaled deeply after half an hour and opened his eyes. Then, his brows furrowed because he realized the pill had only recovered his mental energy to forty percent.

’It has already started to become less effective when it was just my third pill?’ he thought, ’Or was it because I took two in one day?’

A moment later, he closed his eyes and covered his entire body—organs, bones and blood—in his Bloodline Sense and began looking for the traces of the Spirit Replenishment Pill.

From what he knew, the reason medication became less ineffective for a person was because their body had developed resistance towards it.

If this was true, maybe if he could fully digest the lingering medicinal efficacy or expel it from his body, then his body should slowly lose the resistance?

He wasn’t sure that it would work, but it was worth giving it a try.

Therefore, with utmost focus, he scanned every part of his body with the Bloodline Sense, trying to go cell-level deep. While he failed to do so, he found the traces of lingering medicinal energy of the Spirit Replenishment Pill throughout his body.

He thought about whether he could digest it somehow, but had no clue how to go about it, so he decided to expel it.

Since the medicinal energy had burrowed deep into his blood and organs, it was very difficult, but he slowly but surely edged it outwards and five hours later, he finally expelled it along with some other impurities.

”Yuck...” He had to stop breathing because the stench was just too much for him to handle.

Swoosh!

He rushed into the washroom and scrubbed his body until every bit of filth was washed away.

”I should do this cleansing regularly,” he muttered. While the process took quite some time and effort and exhausted both mental energy and Bloodline Sense, after it was done, he felt very light not only in body, but also in mind.

Rumble!

As he walked out of the washroom and got dressed in fresh clothes, his stomach rumbled in hunger.

Smiling faintly while rubbing his belly, he took out his Identity Badge and sent Dan a message.

[Dan...]

Then he waited. If he was cultivating, he wouldn’t answer immediately. In that case, he would just have to go to a restaurant...

Before he could even finish the thought, he got Dan’s response.

[Yes, Young Lord?]

[Have you eaten?] asked Max.

[Not yet, Young Lord. I was cultivating.]

Max pursed his lips. He almost wanted to scold him for interrupting his cultivation to respond to him, but in the end, he just sighed and said, [Prepare a meal for me and yourself. I’m coming back in a while.]

[...Yes, Young Lord.]

...

Walking out of the villa, Max basked in the faint moonlight for a moment before he looked up.

Gazing at the twinkling stars in the sky, his eyes flickered, several thoughts flashing in his mind.

Normally, when one gazed at the vastness of the sky and beauty of the stars, one would feel peaceful and would calm down. Max, however, didn’t feel the same or rather... he could not afford to feel it and relax because...

”...I have many things to do,” he murmured.

He needed to heal the Python

-Heal his Mana Core,

-Recover his Divine Sense,

-Reunite with Lily, Sera and Emily,

-Find a way to bring Amara and her brother to the central region,

-Find Leticia and Belen,

-Re-open the tower.

-Prepare to kill Isolde to avenge Rima, face Lord Grimheart and prepare for the Devil’s imminent escape from the minor realm,

-Last but not least, find Divine Energy and activate the System.

’Maybe... I should stop thinking about owing favors and ask for Elder Milo and others’ help to get things done quickly.’

As soon as he thought, he felt his blood heat up—the Garfield Bloodline was stirring.

Sigh!

He sighed and shook his head. ”Forget it.”

”What are you trying to forget?”

Suddenly a voice sounded, catching him by surprise. If not for the fact that it was familiar, he would have gone into battle mode.

Fwoosh!

As he looked at where the voice sounded from—just a few meters in front of him—a figure materialized there.

It was Ryuna, who had a curious look on her face as she stared at him.

Max shook his head and asked, ”What brought you here at this time, Ms. Ryuna?”

”Tch! How stingy.” she clicked her tongue seeing he had no intention of telling her what he was thinking.
