Strongest Mage with the Lust system

Chapter 902: Can’t Control Everything

”Very well.” Isolde nodded, dense killing intent flickering in her beautiful eyes. She turned to Velerie and said, ”Hall Master, please take us to the Silver Arena.”

Velerie glanced at Max, then at Sanya for a brief moment before nodding at Isolde, ”Very well.”

Swoosh!

Saying that, she stood up, waved her hand and disappeared from the hall along with Max and Isolde.

Immediately after her, Sanya glanced at Rima and smiled, ”Shall we go too?”

”Yes, Elder.” Rima hurriedly nodded.

Swoosh!

As soon as Rima nodded, they disappeared from the hall.

”Sigh! Let us also go and bear witness to the battle.” The White-Robed Grand Elder stood up, sighing. Before his voice finished ringing, he had disappeared from the hall.

Several of the Elders’ lips twitched.

Didn’t he sound like he was going to take them along?

Shaking their heads, one after another, all of them left the hall.

On the way, Isolde’s elder brother, after hesitating for a bit, took out a communication talisman.

Taking a breath, he activated it and with his Divine Sense, he relayed a message to the other party, [Lord Father, a few days ago, younger sister Isolde...]

After he was done, he pursed his lips, an annoyed look on his face.

He was already a King Rank Mage, nearing the Peak of the realm, and because he was the son of the Inner Hall Master and held a Junior Elder’s position in the Inner Disciplinary Hall, countless people respected and admired him.

However, despite all that, he had to be careful about everything while Isolde did whatever she wanted. It was completely unfair.

...

Rumble! Boom!

A battle was currently ongoing in the Silver Arena and everyone was watching it with rapt attention because unlike usual, this battle was being fought between high-rankers—25th and 26th rankers to be precise.

The battle was reaching its climax when one after another, a group of three appeared in the sky above the arena.

Swoosh!

Save for the battling duo because they were cut off from the outside words by the formations, everyone in the coliseum noticed the trio and even before they recognised them, their hearts thudded in their chests because just the fact that they could stay afloat above the Silver Arena was enough to tell them that these people were very powerful and were of high status.

Then, they saw Velerie and immediately shot to their feet, and respectfully bowed towards her, ”Greetings, Hall Master!”

”At ease, everyone.” Velerie gave them a light nod in acknowledgement, allowing them to relax.

Just when the audience was thinking why she had appeared here and were considering whether they should ask, a duo appeared in the sky—Sanya and Rima.

Several in the audience, most of whom were high-rankers, recognised the crimson-haired woman and their breaths hitched. Once again, they bowed deeply, ”Greetings, Elder Blood Flower!”

Those who had failed to recognise Sanya earlier shook when they heard the title ’Blood Flower’ and also shouted out their greetings.

Sanya just waved her hand before flashing to the stands and taking a seat there, one leg casually but gracefully folding over the other.

She then glanced at Rima, who was orienting herself after the extremely fast travel just now, ”Come, sit.”

”Yes, Elder.” Rima nodded and sat down beside her before raising her head and looking at Max, her emotions surging.

’If I knew he would return, I wouldn’t have taken this master this far.’ She thought, sighing inwardly.

She was regretting her actions right now, but it was not because she was afraid Isolde would kill him—she knew no matter how strong Isolde was, she was ultimately a Five Star Mage, so she wasn’t a threat to him, especially because he was also a Five Star Mage now—but because she wanted to hug him tightly, kiss him and vent her emotions. But because of the imminent battle, she had to wait.

Though she didn’t show these emotions on her face as she stared at him, Sanya, who had looked over to comfort her a little, looked at her strangely.

”You aren’t afraid for him? Why?” She asked, ”You should know Isolde is a Peak Five Star Mage, and a genius at that. I wouldn’t be surprised if she could fight an average Mid-Stage King Mage with her current strength. And if she were to use her trump card, I believe she can even fight, if not defeat, a Late-Stage King Mage.”

Rima pursed her lips in response to her question and hearing how powerful Isolde could be, a hint of concern finally appeared in her eyes.

”I’m sure even if she is as powerful as you say she is, Elder, she still can’t harm him. So, there is no need to be afraid.” She said, then her brows furrowed, ”But I’m annoyed at myself for dragging in this mess. Since she is Inner Hall Master’s daughter, he wouldn’t be able to kill her, but even if he killed her somehow, things would just become more complicated and dangerous for us.”

Sanya stared at her, her lips slowly curling up in a grin. ”You aren’t half bad, girl. Trying to take advantage of me, huh?”

Rima’s expression became a little sheepish and inwardly she was a little surprised because instead of believing she had said what she did just now was out of concern for their predicament like everyone would have believed, Sanya saw it as her trying to make her say that she wouldn’t let the Inner Hall Master cause trouble.

”You can’t blame me for this, Elder.” Rima said, ”I believe if anyone can make sure the Inner Hall Master doesn’t make things hard for us because of this matter is you and the other six Monarch Mages of the Hall. But since they don’t know us, only you can help us.”

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

Ignoring the arrival of more people in the coliseum, Sanya stared at her with interest and asked, ”And why do you think I would help you?”

”Because you seem to care for Max for some reason.” Rima answered without hesitating, though she found her heart becoming heavy.

”Hm. You are right. I do care about him because he is an extraordinary talent.” Sanya nodded, and hearing this, Rima was just about to sigh in relief when she saw Sanya give an amused smile and continue,

”But even such people need to face adversities to grow into their full potential. Otherwise, they would be just another greenhouse flower, withering in the slightly turbulent atmosphere. Therefore, I’m not gonna interfere anymore in future.”

Rima’s face fell. After a moment, she asked, ”You’ll at least interfere if the Hall Master unjustly tries to kill him, right Elder?”

Sanya looked away and said, ”We strive to make sure no disciple faces any injustice in the Beast Emperor Hall but... we can’t control everything.”

”I understand, Elder.” Rima said, her expression sombre.
