Apocalypse: King of Zombies

With the arrival of PhD, it was like the final straw that broke the camel’s back—Canada’s Zombie Horde completely collapsed.

They were already outnumbered, and in terms of strength? Not even worth comparing...

The Japanese Iron Trio were battle-hardened veterans, having clawed their way to the top through sheer power. They were fearless, relentless.

Mad Dog led the charge like a blade slicing through flesh, plunging straight into the heart of the Canadian Zombie Horde. His bone-blades swung with brutal precision, cleaving enemies clean in half.

Samara was like a mini version of Laura—blindingly fast, leaving afterimages in her wake as she darted through the battlefield, decapitating zombies with surgical ease.

And then there was T-Rex, a ten-foot-tall beast of a man, basically a humanoid bulldozer. He plowed through the enemy ranks like they were paper.

With these three joining the fray, the already surging American Zombie Horde became unstoppable—like a tiger with wings. They tore through the opposition without mercy.

”Where the hell did these guys come from? They’re pretty damn good,” Big Ears muttered, eyeing the Japanese Iron Trio from a distance.

”No idea,” Shrimpy shook his head, then sniffed the air. ”But... they smell like the sea.”

”...” Big Ears was speechless. Shrimpy’s obsession with the ocean was borderline pathological—how the hell could he even smell that in the middle of a battlefield?

But his attention quickly shifted to T-Rex. The guy looked a lot like his own underling, Gatorax.

Big Ears figured this was a golden opportunity. If he could sweet-talk T-Rex into joining his crew, imagine the street cred—rolling out with both Gatorax and T-Rex? That’d be badass.

”Alright boys! Time to make a name for ourselves—charge!”

With a loud yell, he rushed forward with the main force. The enemy was already falling apart—this was cleanup duty. Low risk, high reward.

”...”

Sophia watched the scene unfold, her face twisted in frustration. The American Zombie Horde was on fire—united, ruthless, and charging like a tidal wave.

Even the low-tier zombie lieutenants, the ones who usually hung back, were throwing themselves into the thick of it.

But the battle was already lost. The Canadian Zombie Horde had no chance of turning this around.

Their only hope now... was that fifth-generation Cyborg from Genesis Biotech. If he could take down the strongest Zombie King on the American side, maybe—just maybe—they had a shot at flipping the script.

She turned to look—and there they were. Two titans locked in combat. The sheer force of their clash made her scalp tingle.

Ethan stood shirtless, his Domain of the Dead surging around him like a storm. The pressure he gave off was suffocating—like a war god descended to earth.

He vanished in a blur, fist cocked back, and launched a punch straight at LORN.

The air around his fist warped and cracked—unstoppable.

LORN’s eyes glowed green, but he didn’t dodge. Instead, a dull yellow energy surged through his arms—earth-element power gathering at his limbs. He raised his arm to meet the blow head-on.

BOOM!

The impact thundered like an explosion. The shockwave flattened the ground beneath them, sinking it several feet.

SCREEEEE—

A sickening metallic screech rang out from LORN’s forearm. The metal was visibly warped, and he staggered back, unable to hold his ground.

Ethan’s punch hit like a meteor—just as powerful as the stone slab from before, but faster, more precise.

”This body... still too weak,” LORN gritted his teeth, muttering to himself.

The fifth-gen Cyborg was strong, no doubt. But in terms of raw durability? It couldn’t compare to the body of a Zombie King.

”If only I had my real body...” LORN felt a pang of regret.

But Ethan wasn’t giving him time to think. Another punch came flying in, just as devastating.

LORN crossed his arms in front of his chest, bracing for impact.

BANG!

The blow sent him flying nearly a thousand feet before he managed to stabilize himself. He looked down—and saw a perfect fist-shaped dent in his metal arm.

”Damn it!”

LORN knew—if this kept up, he was going to lose.

Time was running out...

The Canadian Zombie Horde was crumbling fast. Once they were gone, nothing would stop the American zombies from swarming him.

Even with all his power, he couldn’t take on hundreds of thousands of zombies alone. He’d burn through his energy long before he could kill them all.

Screw it. If he was going down, he was going down swinging. Time for an all-out gamble.

LORN made his decision.

His mechanical body whirred to life, and five distinct colors of light flared across his frame—each one glowing brighter, spinning faster, until they began to merge into a swirling vortex of raw power.

”Hm?” Ethan’s brow twitched. He could feel it—something was off.

This guy was about to go all in.

With a single thought, LORN ignited into a pillar of flame, his entire body engulfed in fire. He looked like a man-shaped sun, radiating heat and fury.

Then, just as suddenly, a wave of freezing cold surged over half his body, locking it in a sheath of ice.

The two opposing forces—fire and ice—clashed and intertwined, sending out violent pulses of energy.

And that wasn’t all. Lightning crackled across his frame, blue arcs dancing wildly like a swarm of silver serpents.

”If you could handle the energy ball from three elements,” LORN growled, eyes burning with fury, ”let’s see how you deal with all five!”

In the next instant, spatial distortion rippled around him, and the ground beneath his feet began to quake as earth energy surged up to join the storm.

This was it—the final trump card of the fifth-generation Cyborg.

The energy pouring off LORN grew hotter, brighter, more unstable. Half the sky was lit up in a kaleidoscope of color. The ground beneath him cracked and split, and even the clouds above churned like a storm was brewing in reverse.

In that moment, he wasn’t just a machine—he was the eye of a cataclysm.

Far off in the distance, Sophia had her eyes locked on him. She’d been watching the whole time.

”Finally pulling out the big guns…”

”Come on, take that damn Zombie King down already!”

She knew—after this move, LORN would be spent. His energy reserves would be toast.

The power kept building, reaching a fever pitch.

LORN’s synthetic skin had long since burned away, revealing the full gleam of his alloy body. But even that was starting to fail—his metal glowed red-hot, and the liquid alloy beneath began to bubble and hiss.

This attack was pushing him past his limits. His body wasn’t built to handle this much power.

This was the absolute edge of what a fifth-gen Cyborg could do.

Any more, and he’d tear himself apart.

Ethan stared him down, his bangs fluttering in the wind, the blinding light ahead forcing him to squint.

”Yeah… this is gonna be bad.”

Then—LORN moved.

His body coiled like a predator ready to strike, joints creaking and popping under the strain. He was right at the breaking point.

With a thunderous stomp, he launched forward, fist raised, a comet of destruction trailing a blazing tail of five-element energy behind him.

The world seemed to dim around him, as if the universe itself was holding its breath.

This was it—LORN’s ultimate strike.

Ethan felt the crushing pressure slam into him like a tidal wave. The air around him froze, the space locked down. There was no dodging this.

No way out.

So he didn’t run.

Instead, he stood his ground.

The Domain of the Dead around him compressed, tightening into a fifteen-foot radius of pure death energy. The pressure was so intense, the very air trembled.

Ethan’s tall frame began to blur, his body radiating a thick, blood-red aura that pulsed like fire.

But it was his eyes—those sharp, glowing eyes—that burned the brightest.

He pulled back his arm, muscles coiling, and threw his own punch straight at LORN.

Two titanic forces collided.

In that instant, the world went silent.

Time itself seemed to slow, stretching out the moment like a held breath.

Then—after a full second of frozen stillness—

BOOM.

The explosion ripped through the battlefield like a nuclear detonation, and the world shattered into chaos.
