You call this a projection?

”If the intelligence that guy gathered using his Shikigami is correct, then that is indeed the case.”

It wasn’t Emiya Shirou who spoke. Instead, Gojo Satoru took the lead in answering Itadori Yuji’s question: ”Itadori Yuji—that’s the right name, isn’t it?

Your mother is very likely a Cursed Spirit, and you are a child born from the union of a human and a Cursed Spirit.

Though these things sound shocking enough to make one suspect they’re fake, I don’t think anyone can lie in my presence.”

At this point, Gojo Satoru pulled up his blindfold with his hand, revealing his eyes.

[Six Eyes]: Not a cursed technique, but a trait rooted in his bloodline. Not only does it grant 360-degree long-range vision without blind spots, but it also allows him to see the microscopic realm like a microscope.

Therefore, with just a bit of study in criminal investigation, no one could lie to him. His eyes, which could see the rhythm of a heart beating, the pace of breathing, and various physical details, were the best lie detector in the world.

This was also why, ever since meeting Emiya Shirou and hearing these spoilers, Gojo Satoru hadn’t doubted the truth of Shirou’s words for a second. At most, he was uncertain about Shirou’s information channels and why they could be so definitive.

In other words... if Emiya Shirou didn’t interfere, Itadori Yuji would likely have become his student.

Because he was essentially invincible, Gojo Satoru’s few remaining interests were limited to a handful of things like teaching and nurturing the next generation. We won’t discuss his actual pedagogical skill here, but in terms of protecting and caring for his students, Gojo Satoru was extremely dedicated.

Thus, facing Itadori Yuji—someone who might have been his student—Gojo Satoru didn’t know how best to comfort him. He could only answer realistically: ”However, your situation is different from the examples I know of.

Over a hundred years ago, according to that person, the Cursed Spirit that became your mother also possessed someone from the Kamo family and conducted experiments to combine humans and Cursed Spirits.

Although the relevant information was destroyed as much as possible by the Kamo family, who viewed it as a family disgrace, the resulting Cursed Spirits born back then still exist. They are currently sealed within the college in the form of Cursed Objects.”

Having said this, Gojo Satoru observed Itadori Yuji’s body carefully. After a good while, he smiled and gave a thumbs-up.

”Which is to say, since you haven’t turned into a Cursed Spirit even now, maybe your mother was just a bit... unique.

Rest assured, sealing is an old-fashioned tradition from over a hundred years ago. In this new century, while your situation isn’t common in the Jujutsu world, it’s quite ordinary compared to sorcerers who are haunted by girlfriends-turned-Cursed-Spirits—where the Cursed Spirit girlfriend attacks people nearby every now and then.”

”...?”

Itadori Yuji, who was still immersed in the news that his mother was a Cursed Spirit, was completely dazed by Gojo Satoru’s words.

Aren’t Cursed Spirits monsters that attack humans? Why did it sound like humans dating Cursed Spirits was a common occurrence according to Gojo Satoru? Thinking this, Itadori Yuji couldn’t help but look at Fushiguro Megumi beside him.

”...”

This caused Fushiguro Megumi to silently turn his head away once again. After all, how could he respond to Itadori’s questioning gaze?

Say Gojo Satoru was joking? The problem was, those words weren’t actually a joke.

Although he wasn’t in the same year as the example Gojo was referring to (Okkotsu Yuta), they were only one grade apart. Furthermore, as one of the only three Special Grade sorcerers in the Jujutsu world, the senpai Okkotsu Yuta was legendary to Fushiguro Megumi. Fushiguro, who respected Okkotsu greatly, had looked into his senpai’s circumstances.

Even if he didn’t want to admit it, Fushiguro had to concede that Gojo Satoru wasn’t lying on this point. However, combined with Itadori Yuji’s case, Fushiguro felt Gojo was definitely saying it that way on purpose to lead people’s thoughts astray.

Fortunately, Emiya Shirou’s spoilers weren’t over yet. He continued, pulling their attention back.

”Of course, since your talent and technique are over-the-top, Gojo... perhaps in terms of total Cursed Energy volume, you aren’t a match for Sukuna from a thousand years ago. The same goes for the application and knowledge of Jujutsu. At most, thanks to the ’cheating’ ability of the [Six Eyes], your control over Cursed Energy can rival Sukuna’s.

But by the same token, Sukuna’s technique cannot compare to your [Limitless Cursed Technique].

As long as Sukuna cannot crack your [Limitless], with your learning ability, you would surely learn Sukuna’s Jujutsu application techniques during the battle.

However...”

At this point, by pointing his finger at Fushiguro Megumi, Emiya Shirou caused their gazes to shift toward Fushiguro.

”In order to defeat you, Gojo... Sukuna will plan to use the relationship between Itadori and Fushiguro to take over Fushiguro’s body. He wants to seize the only thing within Fushiguro that can crack your [Limitless]: the [Ten Shadows Technique].”

”...Me? Fighting Gojo-sensei?” Fushiguro Megumi froze, mimicking Shirou by pointing his finger at himself.

Even if, according to Shirou, the one fighting Gojo Satoru at that time would be Sukuna having taken over his body, Fushiguro Megumi couldn’t imagine a scenario where he could win against Gojo. After all, the [Ten Shadows Technique] felt quite average to him.

One reason Fushiguro paid attention to his senpai Okkotsu Yuta was that Okkotsu, like him, had a technique involving summoning Shikigami. But unlike his [Ten Shadows], Okkotsu’s Shikigami summoning had no startup lag. Moreover, while his own required a massive consumption of Cursed Energy to summon, Okkotsu’s Shikigami not only didn’t consume energy but could even replenish it...

The gap between them was so obvious that Fushiguro Megumi felt Emiya Shirou had to be joking.

Gojo Satoru, however, couldn’t laugh at all.

”Is this true?”

”It’s true,” Emiya Shirou nodded.

”Not just Itadori, my future student, but even Megumi would become a pawn used by that Cursed Spirit.” Scratching his head, Gojo Satoru sighed helplessly.

”Fine, you win.

Tell me, what do you want me to do?”
