That Day When Suzuki-kun Wasn't the Mob-B!

”Your Queen might be terrifyingly strong, but you aren’t, you blue-haired brute!”

Jeanne glared at Xenovia, panting heavily. The blonde descendant of the French Saint summoned a barrage of glowing holy swords, launching them through the night air like deadly, high-speed javelins.

Yet, standing in the center of the blood-stained Kuoh Academy courtyard, Xenovia merely stifled a lazy yawn. With a casual, effortless flick of her newly forged broadsword, the heavy clatter of shattering steel echoed through the battlefield. The holy blades were violently blown away, reduced to harmless glittering shards.

”You are far too weak,” Xenovia stated flatly.

”.....”

Jeanne gritted her teeth, a drop of sweat rolling down her flushed cheek.

Xenovia had faced genuine monsters, especially since she had aligned herself with Finn. Jeanne might have possessed the legendary blood of Jeanne d’Arc—the heroine who brought victory to France—but compared to the apocalyptic anomalies Xenovia now lived with, Jeanne’s strength was painfully underwhelming.

As a devoted member of Finn’s peerage, Xenovia was granted temporary access to the Manager’s calculation matrix. Her usually straightforward, battle-crazed mind had sharpened into a lethal, hyper-calculating weapon. She could instantly analyze trajectories and physical variables that would have baffled her in the past. If she had to be entirely honest, Finn was the absolute perfect master for her.

Finn’s combat style was heavily physical, much like her own. His body was his ultimate weapon. Yet, instead of fighting like a mindless brute, he fought with the terrifying precision of a master assassin. It was a flawless synergy. Assassins were incredibly dangerous but physically fragile. Warriors were durable, but their movements were easily readable.

When the absolute stealth and presence concealment of an assassin was fused with the overwhelming, world-shattering physical power of a warrior... a true calamity was born.

Xenovia knew her own talent for presence concealment was mediocre at best. But time was on her side. As a reincarnated Devil, and with the Manager’s continuous optimizations, she was rapidly closing the gap.

For now, though, she didn’t need absolute stealth to handle the panting blonde in front of her. Fighting Jeanne didn’t even require her to get serious.

”If you wielded a Longinus, this might be a different conversation,” Xenovia mocked lazily, resting the flat of her heavy blade against her shoulder. ”But your Sacred Gear is just the Blade Blacksmith. What use is it besides churning out mass-produced holy swords? Can your brittle blades even compare to Akeno-san’s divine lightning?”

Xenovia couldn’t understand why Jeanne was being so foolish. Did the Hero Faction honestly believe they had even a fraction of a chance of winning this war?

It was utterly impossible. Their defeat was inevitable.

”Instead of throwing your life away, you should just join us,” Xenovia suggested, looking the blonde heroine up and down. ”You are quite beautiful, after all. You have a gorgeous, toned body. I think Finn-sama might actually enjoy playing with you. Instead of running around the world like a miserable criminal, wouldn’t it be better to live in absolute luxury and comfort in his bed?”

”...”

Jeanne fell completely silent. The sharp scent of burnt ozone and metallic blood in the air was suddenly cut by a heavy, stifling tension.

Being spoken to like a cheap slut should have infuriated her. She was a charismatic, heroic figure! Yet, beneath the tight, form-fitting armor that squeezed her voluptuous curves and hoisted up her heavy cleavage, a treacherous heat pooled in Jeanne’s stomach. Her face flushed a brilliant, burning crimson.

Her mind betrayed her, instantly conjuring a vivid, intensely lewd fantasy. She imagined herself fighting desperately against Finn’s overwhelming strength, writhing and screaming under his heavy, pinning grip, only for him to completely break her mind and body. The thought of being completely dominated, stripped of her heroic duties, and reduced to his desperate, pampered plaything sent a violent, agonizingly sweet shiver straight down her spine.

”Okay, enough of your perverted inner monologues. Can you focus on the fight now?”

Xenovia sighed heavily, thoroughly exhausted by yet another perverted holy woman. Yes, Xenovia herself was a former nun, but it seemed every single woman associated with the Church was secretly a raging exhibitionist or a closet masochist.

According to Finn, the psychology was simple: nuns spent their entire lives strictly suppressing their carnal desires. When the dam finally broke, the repressed spring bounced back with twice the force, granting them an explosive euphoria and insatiable pleasure. Xenovia had to admit from personal experience, his theory was absolutely flawless.

In fact, she frequently caught Finn and Irina engaging in incredibly lewd ”masturbation calls” late at night, whispering filthy things to each other across telepathic lines. Sometimes, Finn would simply use his absolute stealth to teleport directly into Irina’s bed for a quick, breathless hookup. It made Xenovia sigh at how utterly degraded the morals of the Church had become—not that she was complaining.

”...Are you playing with me, Devil?!” Jeanne snapped, violently shaking her head to banish the lewd fantasies dripping into her mind.

”I’m not playing with you. You’re the one standing there blushing with perverted thoughts. You just don’t have the courage to expose your true self,” Xenovia retorted bluntly.

”SHUT UP!”

Jeanne screamed, her face burning so hot it rivaled the flames of her ancestors. She knew perfectly well that facing Xenovia in close combat was essentially suicide, but her heroic pride refused to let her surrender to her own desires!

”Stake Victim Dragoon!”

With a deafening roar of holy magic, the air around Jeanne warped. She rapidly forged hundreds of gleaming holy swords, twisting and fusing the metal together until it formed a colossal, terrifying Dragon constructed entirely of divine blades.

”A Balance Breaker, huh?” Xenovia raised an eyebrow, completely unimpressed. ”In the end, it’s just a standard Sacred Gear. A Balance Breaker of a basic tool is still basic. No matter what you do, your struggles are meaningless.”

”SHUT THE HELL UP! TRY SURVIVING THIS FIRST!”

”ROOOOOOOOOOOAAAAARRRR!!!”

The massive Holy Sword Dragon roared with a life-like, metallic shriek. It possessed a pseudo-soul of its own, diving through the air with terrifying speed, fully intending to impale Xenovia and pin her to the blood-soaked earth!

Like the rest of the Hero Faction, Jeanne knew she just had to create a wide enough opening for Cao Cao to strike Finn’s dormant body.

If she were completely honest with herself, she didn’t even understand why she was fighting so hard to kill Finn. After witnessing his apocalyptic slaughter in Hong Kong, she had secretly sworn to herself that if she ever crossed his path again, she would simply drop her weapons and surrender. The rest of the world might not understand, but she knew exactly what kind of unfathomable monster he was. Why die pointlessly for a doomed faction?

Wouldn’t it be infinitely better to live? To let herself fall into the carnal, breathless carnage of pleasure under that handsome Devil?

Looking at Xenovia, Akeno, and Asia, Jeanne could see they all lived like pampered cinderellas who had been claimed by a terrifying, overpowered prince. Even if he was a demonic scumbag, her life would be blissfully comfortable.

Yet, despite her wavering heart, Jeanne severely underestimated the blue-haired warrior standing before her.

Jeanne believed her massive Holy Dragon would at least push Xenovia back. Instead, she watched in absolute, paralyzing horror as Xenovia simply exhaled, gripping the hilt of her weapon.

Xenovia lazily swung the newly fused Durandal.

Slash!

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMM!

A devastating, crescent-shaped arc of absolute destruction erupted from the blade. The Holy Sword Dragon wasn’t just cut in half—the very earth beneath it was violently cleaved open, creating a massive, bottomless gorge in the academy courtyard. The dragon shattered into millions of useless, dissolving holy fragments.

Jeanne dropped to her knees, her eyes wide, completely dazed by the effortless display of catastrophic power.

”You wanted to fight, right?” Xenovia murmured, stabbing her broadsword firmly into the concrete. ”Then, let’s finish this.”

This time, Xenovia didn’t draw her blade. She raised her bare fists.

Jeanne’s heart violently seized in her chest. A terrifying, dense aura violently erupted from Xenovia’s clenched hands.

Finn had personally trained Xenovia. He had forcefully drilled Tsunade’s Strength of a Hundred Seal, the external life-force armor of Touki, and natural Senjutsu into her warrior instincts. With the Manager streamlining the flow of energy, her bare hands were classified as weapons of mass destruction.

More importantly, Finn hadn’t reincarnated Xenovia as a Knight to enhance her speed. He had purposefully used a Rook piece. Her baseline physical strength had been magnified to an incomprehensible, world-shaking degree!

”Wait! Wait! Wait! Forgive me! I surrender! I give up! Don’t attack—!”

”Too late!”

Jeanne’s frantic, desperate pleas were instantly cut short.

Xenovia blurred forward, her fist moving faster than sound. She completely shattered Jeanne’s hastily raised holy blade like cheap glass and buried her glowing, Touki-enhanced fist directly into the blonde hero’s armored stomach!

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMM!!!!!!

The impact was cataclysmic. The earth violently ruptured, sending massive chunks of concrete and a shockwave of compressed air blasting outward, completely blowing the defeated Saint away into the night sky!
