That Day When Suzuki-kun Wasn't the Mob-B!

”Tsunade-sama, are you okay?”

Shizune gently touched her mentor’s shoulder, snapping the legendary kunoichi out of her daze. Tsunade was still staring at the empty table, her mind reeling from the flawless execution of the Mystical Palm Technique she had just witnessed.

Suzuki had already paid for their penthouse suite, and neither Tsunade nor Shizune had any intention of leaving. They didn’t have a single ryo to their names, anyway.

Tsunade’s gambling addiction was the worst kind of self-destruction. She didn’t lack the means to make money—her medical skills were highly sought after worldwide—but she willfully let herself fall into depravity, losing every cent she earned. Worse, she dragged her loyal attendant down with her. Shizune had sacrificed her youth and her time, constantly scrambling to cover Tsunade’s massive debts.

But their sudden meeting with Suzuki had changed everything. He possessed vast wealth, corporate backing, and zero hesitation when it came to spending it.

”...He is amazing,” Tsunade murmured, staring at the spot where Suzuki had been sitting.

It wasn’t just about his terrifyingly large... presence earlier. It was his entire demeanor. Tsunade knew better than anyone that it wasn’t easy to reach his level of skill at such a young age. Despite his arrogant facade, he must have endured grueling, agonizing training to master jutsu like that.

”Yeah,” Shizune agreed softly. It was her first time seeing someone match Tsunade’s precision in medical ninjutsu while also possessing enough raw power to unleash a catastrophic Fire Release.

”Are you going to accept him as your student, Tsunade-sama?”

Tsunade was startled by the question. She hesitated for a long moment before aggressively snorting. ”He is a thousand years too early to call me ’Sensei’!”

”....” Shizune just smiled, knowing exactly what that meant.

Meanwhile, Suzuki and Yugao had returned to their own luxurious suite. As they prepared for bed, Yugao looked at him with genuine concern. Suzuki was sitting on the edge of the futon, aggressively massaging his temples and pinching the bridge of his nose. He looked completely exhausted.

”Are you okay?” she asked softly, sitting beside him.

”Yes, I’m fine. Don’t worry.”

”Are you sure? You seem so different than usual.”

When Yugao thought about how Suzuki had acted downstairs—arrogant, hot-headed, picking a fight with the Legendary Sannin—it felt entirely disconnected from his usual self. Normally, he was calm, calculating, and mature. But earlier? He had acted like a brat, genuinely lashing out at Tsunade.

”I was acting.”

”...You were acting?”

”I did my research. Tsunade despises sycophants and politicians. She likes people with straightforward, fiery personalities who aren’t afraid to challenge her.”

”...So, you purposely picked a fight?”

”Yes.”

”....”

Yugao blinked in surprise before nodding in quiet awe. ”As expected of you.”

This ruthless, calculating side of him was exactly why Suzuki stood so high above his peers despite his young age. And Yugao realized with a thrill that she was the only one allowed to see the man behind the mask.

”But...”

Yugao shifted closer, wrapping her arms around him from behind and burying her flushed face into the crook of his neck. ”There is no need to act right now. You can release all that stress on me.”

”...”

Suzuki froze. He seriously wondered if Yugao had always been this much of a hidden pervert in the original story, or if the ruthless ninja world simply messed up everyone’s minds to the point that they sought extreme stress relief.

Still, he hadn’t told her the full truth. He was acting earlier, but his annoyance toward Tsunade had been entirely genuine. He knew it was somewhat unreasonable, but he hated seeing people waste the immense privileges they were given.

Unlike him, who started with nothing but a meager inheritance from his dead parents, Tsunade had been born with everything. Wealth, prestige, god-like talent, and the most revered family name in the world. He knew she had lost many loved ones, but seeing her wallow in depravity, letting the darkness of the world consume her entirely, deeply irritated him.

Yes, Tsunade was a legendary beauty with a devastating figure—practically the dream woman of every shinobi in the elemental nations. But Suzuki knew that people who started with nothing weren’t afraid to lose it all, because they were used to having nothing. For someone like Tsunade, who had everything and lost it, the pain was infinitely sharper. That was why she numbed herself with alcohol and gambling.

Dying might have been easier for her. But as the First Hokage’s granddaughter, she carried a crushing weight of pride and unspoken responsibility that kept her alive.

It really isn’t easy being Tsunade, Suzuki sighed internally. The three Sannin were all tragic figures. Tsunade gave up and left. Orochimaru gave into his twisted ambitions and betrayed the village. Jiraiya became delusional, chasing prophecies from talking toads.

This world was undeniably troublesome. Suzuki knew he had to forge his own path to absolute power. Currently, his influence was tied heavily to Sarutobi. If the old man died, Suzuki’s corporate empire would immediately be targeted by vultures like Danzo.

By aggressively securing Tsunade as his mentor, he was creating a massive safety net. Even if Sarutobi fell, no one would dare touch the personal disciple of the Slug Princess.

”Hnh~!”

A soft, muffled moan brought him back to reality. Yugao clearly wasn’t thinking about village politics. Her hands were already wandering, her body melting against his back.

The night was long, steamy, and highly productive.

The next morning, Suzuki woke up early as usual and completed his physical conditioning. Tsunade, naturally, was completely hungover and slept in. Suzuki ended up having a quiet breakfast in the hotel restaurant with Shizune, who had also woken up early.

As for Yugao?

Hmm... it was better not to mention her current state. Let’s just say her legs weren’t working properly.

When Tsunade finally stumbled down to the restaurant, holding her head, she stopped in her tracks. Seeing Suzuki and Shizune eating breakfast together, chatting so casually, made a strange, unsettled feeling twist in her chest. She aggressively ignored it, focusing her hungover gaze on Suzuki.

”Are you ready?” she demanded, crossing her arms.

”I’m the one who should be asking you that.” Suzuki deadpanned, looking at her completely disheveled appearance. She hadn’t even bathed, and her blonde hair was a rat’s nest.

”....”

Tsunade’s face flushed crimson. She was supposed to be the intimidating mentor, not the messy aunt! Letting out a helpless sigh, she walked over and aggressively ruffled Suzuki’s hair.

”...What are you doing?”

”Wait here. I’ll teach you a lesson you’ll never forget right after this.”

”.....” Suzuki stared at her strangely. ”Are you sick?”

”WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY, YOU BRAT?!”

”You’re acting weird.”

”WAIT RIGHT HERE! I AM GOING TO BREAK EVERY BONE IN YOUR BODY!”

”You’re welcome. Hurry up and take a bath. You smell like a brewery.”

Tsunade ground her teeth, glaring at him for a full ten seconds before huffing and storming off to the bathhouse, fully prepared to put this arrogant kid through absolute hell.

”Thank you,” Shizune said softly once Tsunade was out of earshot.

Suzuki turned to her, raising an eyebrow. ”Why are you thanking me?”

”Nothing~!” Shizune smiled happily, hugging her pig. She knew Suzuki had already brought a massive, positive change to Tsunade’s stagnant life.

”Weird,” Suzuki muttered.

When Tsunade finally returned, looking fresh and overwhelmingly beautiful, she immediately noticed an absence. ”Where’s the Anbu girl? Yugao?”

”She’s resting,” Suzuki replied smoothly, sipping his tea. ”Working as an Anbu is physically draining, after all.”

”Ah...” Tsunade nodded in understanding, knowing how grueling Anbu missions could be. She didn’t pry further, entirely focused on her new objective.

”Now, are you ready?”

”Yeah.”

”Let’s start your training!”

While the Naruto-world Suzuki began his hellish medical training under the legendary Sannin, his alternate self—the 6th Suzuki—was busy settling into his brand new school.

Because of his situation, he had opted to stay in the school dormitories, which perfectly erased the cost of renting an apartment. It was a logical, highly efficient move.

However, his carefully planned, peaceful school life hit a massive roadblock the moment he met his new roommate.

”Hello, my name is Suzuki Tanaka. Nice to meet you.” Suzuki extended a polite hand to the plain-looking, slightly naive boy with brown hair and glasses.

”Ah, hello! Nice to meet you, too, Tanaka-kun!” the boy replied cheerfully, shaking his hand. ”My name is Ooyama Takeru. You can just call me Takeru if you want!”

”.....” Suzuki froze.

Yes, his new roommate was Ooyama Takeru. The protagonist of Maken-Ki.

To be honest, I am not even sure why I am even thinking to write the Maken-Ki, but if I have to say, I was in the slump before, so I was thinking to add a different world to make it interesting, yet it didn’t help me that much, but fortunately, I gained my spirit again, and please enjoy, since I think it isn’t a bad world.

Also, don’t worry, there are only ten Chapters, and after that, it will be the Solo Leveling, and you will see the Naruto again.

Anyway, please enjoy!
